The Grabber HTS 60 is General Tire's Highway All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossover and sport utility vehicles, as well as pickup trucks and full-size vans. Designed to combine style, comfort, durability and performance, Grabber HTS 60 tires blend pleasant road manners, a long life and year-round all-season traction, even in light snow.
Grabber HTS 60 tires feature a robust cut- and chip-resistant compound that improves treadlife in rugged service conditions. This compound is molded into size-specific, vehicle-application-tuned tread patterns. Beginning with a design combining a strong continuous center rib flanked by independent intermediate tread blocks, sound barrier ribs and notched shoulders, lighter-duty sizes have a higher sipe density to enhance wet road and wintertime grip while heavier-duty sizes are optimized to further enhance stability under heavy load conditions.
The tire's internal structure begins with a cushioned absorption layer of rubber under the tread to help isolate the vehicle from road disturbances for a more comfortable ride. The Grabber HTS 60 tire's wide, flat footprint is supported by ultra-high-strength steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon to deliver exceptional penetration resistance and even footprint pressure for excellent braking and confident stability under all approved load conditions.

I currently have over 79,000 miles (yes you read that right) on my General Grabbers and I am getting ready to replace them this weekend with the same. Amazing tire! Fantastic in rain. I¿ve been caught in several severe rain storms (twice up in the twisty Smoky Mountain roads) and these tires cut right through the heavy rains and handled beautifully through those winding roads. Mamy times I¿ve driven through heavy snow up to 8 inches with ease, but to be fair I should also give credit to the great AWD system on my Subaru. Just a little history of what type of driving my tires have gone through. Lots of steep gravel roads, dirt roads and old logging roads that i need to get through because of my work, and many many miles on some of the worst roads up and down on thr east coast. At least 5000 miles pulling over 1500 lbs on a trailer, Today we had 6 or 7 inches of snow in the Northeast and even tough they have 79,000 miles on them. 1 never had an issue with traction. These tires have been abused and I never had issues with them. I highly recommend them.

...They perform well for daily driving too, as quiet as the previous set, but so much better in the wet...
Purchased the Grabber by General to replace a worn out set of Michelins. At 100000 miles, our Honda Pilot is used mostly for family excursions and needed a better tire for the wet and snow of the Poconos. They perform well for daily driving too, as quiet as the previous set, but so much better in the wet. When we got hit with 3 snow storms in succession, I left the Jeep in the garage for the first time. With these tires, the Pilot took on a whole new personality in the snow. Traction and steering were handled with confidence in even the deep snow as well as packed snow and ice. Mud season has now come, and the Grabbers handle our long driveway and the dirt roads well without throwing too much dirt and stones. Minimal slippage in the uphill mud/dirt sections.

...Definitely a reliable tire, good in snow and rain.
190,000 miles on the 2002 Suburban, after factory tires, I have had 2 sets only of the Grabber. Had 60-70K on the first set and the same for the second set. Definitely a reliable tire, good in snow and rain.

...Good all season traction; ours is only front wheel drive and gets around in the winter with little to no issues...
70,000 miles on tires in rural Iowa. Should be enough said. Rough black top, moderate amount of gravel, some light towing and these tires have held up great. Good all season traction; ours is only front wheel drive and gets around in the winter with little to no issues. This is my wife's vehicle that is always hauling kids, so good tires are important to us. Great price for a great tire, you don't need the flashy names with high price to get performance like these General tires can dish out.

Replaced Pirellis, not as sporty feeling and its early days but no complaints so far, handled a blizzard and deep snow on the highway really well, started to get a bit less confident at above 54mph in deep snow and slush and not 100% confident changing lanes with heavy slush accumulation but keep the speed down to 50 and below (as you should) and they inspire 100% confidence.
Minimal to no range hit, i drove a 20 minute route with the previous tires and the next day the same route and m/kwh was reduced by 1.4% but the next day it was also 5f colder and the tires were at 47 vs 50 psi. will update as i add more miles.

...out handle the BFG tires by a good bit. The sidewall doesn't flex nearly as much... The grip level is better than the BFGs, which were better than the old General tires... They don't squeal much at all under hard cornering...
Well so far I have been impressed. My truck came with the Original General HTS tires. They were okay, but squealed a lot in hard cornering, and overall grip wasn't amazing. Switched to BFG Longtrail tires which were a good improvement. Now I decided to give the General HTS60 tires a try. They out handle the BFG tires by a good bit. The sidewall doesn't flex nearly as much. My truck has pretty tall sidewalls; so it is noticeable. The grip level is better than the BFGs, which were better than the old General tires I had. The noise from them is minimal. They don't squeal much at all under hard cornering.
The wet handling seems good, but have only had a few days of rain to test this on so far.
Overall I feel that they out handle the BFG Longtrails I had last, they claim to have a longer life (we'll see about that as time goes on), and they were a good bit less expensive. Thumbs up to the General HTS60.

...Incredibly quiet and very smooth on dry road surfaces...
These tires have been great. Incredibly quiet and very smooth on both wet and dry road surfaces. Use this truck mainly for highway commuting. Purchased the tires three years ago and they show only marginal tread wear for about 45,000 miles of service. No flats or problems with low air pressure during colder months. No soft spots or any alignment wear. I will definitely purchase another full set after next winter. Great value and Tire Rack and General is now my only source of tires for all of my vehicles.

I use this tire mainly for summer. Super comfortable and quiet ride and loads of wet and dry traction. I've used them a little in the snow and they work fine, but I have dedicated tires for winter that I like better.

...They have been great performers even at 63,000 miles, just started to touch the last wear marker... 63,000 miles and still perform great!...
Hello Tire Rack, Thank You for recommending the General HTC tires for my 2007 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. They have been great performers even at 63,000 miles, just started to touch the last wear marker. They were great in light snow and even slightly icy conditions. We made many trips to Whistler Canada, over the Cascade Mtns to Eastern Washington and Idaho. I'm finally changing these tires for another which your web-site recommended (on sale price was hard to resist), these tires could last another 5K to 10K but the wet weather performance suffer when it is not in 4x4. 63,000 miles and still perform great! Extremely Quiet on Highway, very even wear when inflated 40-42 psi (est. 2-4 psi more than recommended). This will be my last review, after 6 years, for General HTC. Thank You.
