Most customers rate the General Grabber HTS 60's wet traction highly, with scores between 8-10. The tire delivers reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance in rainy conditions, performing excellently as an all-season highway tire.

I came to report the wet traction. I am very pleased with the traction this tire provides on wet pavement. I can hit the pedal really hard and still not experience spin.
Impressive.
I'll be back to report what I find at the 10,000 mark.
These replaced the General Grabber ATX tires that had about 45000 miles on them.
I am suggesting NOT to rotate tires from right to left. I had two tires begin to suffer belt separation at 43000 miles. Normally I would get 50000 miles before replacing the Grabbers but with this set I was rotating them in X pattern. I suspect even steel belted radials should not be swapped from right to left. Keep them on the same side or you might experience belt separation. That never happened before with the General tires so I am blaming the right to left swap.

...The wet handling seems good, but have only had a few days of in rain to test this on so far...
Well so far I have been impressed. My truck came with the Original General HTS tires. They were okay, but squealed a lot in hard cornering, and overall grip wasn't amazing. Switched to BFG Longtrail tires which were a good improvement. Now I decided to give the General HTS60 tires a try. They out handle the BFG tires by a good bit. The sidewall doesn't flex nearly as much. My truck has pretty tall sidewalls; so it is noticeable. The grip level is better than the BFGs, which were better than the old General tires I had. The noise from them is minimal. They don't squeal much at all under hard cornering.
The wet handling seems good, but have only had a few days of rain to test this on so far.
Overall I feel that they out handle the BFG Longtrails I had last, they claim to have a longer life (we'll see about that as time goes on), and they were a good bit less expensive. Thumbs up to the General HTS60.

I use this tire mainly for summer. Super comfortable and quiet ride and loads of wet and dry traction.
I've used them a little in the snow and they work fine, but I have dedicated tires for winter that I like better.

...Definitely a reliable tire, good in snow and rain.
190,000 miles on the 2002 Suburban, after factory tires, I have had 2 sets only of the Grabber. Had 60-70K on the first set and the same for the second set. Definitely a reliable tire, good in snow and rain.

I currently have over 79,000 miles (yes you read that right) on my General Grabbers and I am getting ready to replace them this weekend with the same. Amazing tire! Fantastic in rain. I¿ve been caught in several severe rain storms (twice up in the twisty Smoky Mountain roads) and these tires cut right through the heavy rains and handled beautifully through those winding roads. Mamy times I¿ve driven through heavy snow up to 8 inches with ease, but to be fair I should also give credit to the great AWD system on my Subaru. Just a little history of what type of driving my tires have gone through. Lots of steep gravel roads, dirt roads and old logging roads that i need to get through because of my work, and many many miles on some of the worst roads up and down on thr east coast. At least 5000 miles pulling over 1500 lbs on a trailer, Today we had 6 or 7 inches of snow in the Northeast and even tough they have 79,000 miles on them. 1 never had an issue with traction. These tires have been abused and I never had issues with them. I highly recommend them.

...When we got hit with 3 snow storms in succession, I left the Jeep in the garage for the first time. With these tires, the Pilot took on a whole new personality in the snow. Traction and steering were handled with confidence in even the deep snow as well as in packed snow and ice...
Purchased the Grabber by General to replace a worn out set of Michelins. At 100000 miles, our Honda Pilot is used mostly for family excursions and needed a better tire for the wet and snow of the Poconos. They perform well for daily driving too, as quiet as the previous set, but so much better in the wet. When we got hit with 3 snow storms in succession, I left the Jeep in the garage for the first time. With these tires, the Pilot took on a whole new personality in the snow. Traction and steering were handled with confidence in even the deep snow as well as packed snow and ice. Mud season has now come, and the Grabbers handle our long driveway and the dirt roads well without throwing too much dirt and stones. Minimal slippage in the uphill mud/dirt sections.

I read some reviews before I bought the General Grabber HTS60s. I have been very happy with them. I bought my 1999 F-150 used and it had normal passenger car tires on it at the time. It handled TERRIBLE! Way too soft a ride (no feel) and couldn't handle any sort of lively cornering (understeer). These tires cured both of those issues. Highly recommended!

Better than AT's for paved roads: quieter, better handling and steering response...
Better than AT's for paved roads(obviously): quieter, better handling and steering response, better hydroplane resistance, and even better when there's packed or light snow. The downside, and I saw it mentioned a few times before, is that these tires seem to go out of balance very quickly, nullifying any benefits of the smooth riding aspects of an all-season tire on the highway. Not sure how a small-lugged tire can go out of balance so badly; if it were an AT or MT it would make sense with all of that extra rotating mass.

...They ride wonderfully! Look Great also, I chose to mount White letters out this time. They are quiet, and they balanced with very minimal weight, my tire guy was amazed!...
Had them on for 2 days now, these are a heavy, 10 ply tire (56lbs each). They ride wonderfully ! Look Great also, I chose to mount White letters out this time. They are quiet, and they balanced with very minimal weight, my tire guy was amazed! One wheel took only a 1/2 ounce on the inside !, the others took no more than 2 ounces each to balance up. And these are on 7 yr old steel truck wheels ! I have had these tires, General HTS60 on another car and they were awesome. Surprisingly great in snow, both powdered and packed on road. Ice traction ,well, Come on, it's ICE ! without studs, no tire is gonna be good ! I will buy these again for any vehicle I can, they last well, ride well and are good quality compared to Wa*-Ma*t/Tire chain cheapos. Nothing like a new set of tires to revive your ride, I know these Tires will make me love my Tundra all over again ! Thanks TireRack for the great price and F A S T Shipping ! Ordered on Sunday night of Columbus day weekend and the Tires showed up Tues @ 2:00 pm !

70,000 miles on tires in rural Iowa. Should be enough said. Rough black top, moderate amount of gravel, some light towing and these tires have held up great. Good all season traction; ours is only front wheel drive and gets around in the winter with little to no issues. This is my wife's vehicle that is always hauling kids, so good tires are important to us. Great price for a great tire, you don't need the flashy names with high price to get performance like these General tires can dish out.

These tires are great on the highway and around town. They're quiet and provide good traction wet or dry. However, when the snow flies, they're less than ideal. Even in "Slippery" mode in my Expedition, which changes the throttle response and puts it in 4WD, you slip and slide quite a bit in them regardless of the depth of snow on the road. I travel up and down a winding road on a large hill going back and forth to my home everyday. Going up the hill, with a head of steam, they're pretty good. Going down? Not so good. If I lived in Florida, I'd score 10's across the board. In the Southern Tier of NY, a solid 6.
