The Assurance ComfortDrive is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for drivers of sedans, coupes, crossovers, and SUVs looking for a sensibly luxurious tire that delivers a smooth ride and premium noise comfort. Assurance ComfortDrive tires are developed to provide a satisfying grip on dry and wet roads along with confidence in wintry weather conditions, including light snow.
The Assurance ComfortDrive features an all-season tread compound that utilizes soybean oil for increased traction without sacrificing fuel economy and tread wear. The symmetric tread design employs Evolving Traction Grooves and TreadLock Technology that yields consistent grip and stability combined with responsive dry handling. The optimized tread pattern is engineered to reduce tread harmonics and airborne noise for a luxuriously quiet ride. Symmetrically balanced AquaChannel Grooves and large, lateral notches help evacuate water from the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance and enhanced wet performance. Large sipes built into the tread blocks increase the biting edges necessary for grip in snowy or icy conditions.
The tire's internal construction features Goodyear's ComfortFlex technology, designed to absorb impacts while providing ultra-refined handling and steering response. A two-ply casing supports twin steel belts, along with a reinforcement cap ply for increased high-speed capabilities.

I have been very pleased with these tires. They have great wet traction in heavy rain (Florida) but are still a quiet tire. I have road tripped them at 90mph for hours and love the ride. I have zero complaints.

One of the best tire performance handling allows grip as car corners on wet like it's on rails. Husband is Import Auto Diagnostician. Drove car for test quite spiritedly. Zero hydroplane compared to Generals on his car. Will be ordering again for our cars. Highly recommend.

Attention Spirited Drivers & Avid Winter Drivers: These are indeed great tires! I just drove about 400 miles in the epic Blizzard of 2022. At times I was driving on 2in sheets of ice on curvy country roads and other times at high speeds on the highway. The tires handled as well as I could ask! I could feel that I was on ice but was in constant control. They brake and respond well, as well as take very sharp short turns well. Im an adventurous driver in all weather conditions so I bought these tires with that in mind. I do a lot of city and highway driving. 2000+ miles in the month Ive opened them. These tires have been great in freezing, wet, snowy, and icy conditions. I got them as opposed to the Blizzacks I've run before to save some money. I even tested them out in a controlled setting to see how they'd respond to hard stops, turns, and acceleration on the snow/ice and they were great. Yes, I control test all of my tires. You should know what your vehicle and its tires are capable of so when you're in a potentially bad situation you can respond accordingly. The only thing I will say is that on the highway they're noisy! Like more noisy than I expected but thats just cause to turn the music up. At least you'll get home safely with some good tunes on!

...Good performance, good traction (dry/wet/snow)...
I really like these tires. Good performance, good traction (dry/wet/snow), and they're a little quieter road-noise wise than the Michelin's that came with the vehicle when new.

...They grab the snow beautifully... They grab exceptionally well on the ice and in packed snow... ' Stop on a dime' describes them quite well...
We live in a mixed area. Small city in the mountains. They grab the snow beautifully. They ride quietly under all conditions, and even though they are "snow tires," they handle as good as our all-seasons. They grab exceptionally well on the ice and in packed snow. Of course, it's a Subaru Forester and by itself, that makes the car go anywhere you might want to go - other than down muddy powerlines, etc. "Stop on a dime" describes them quite well. Slightly louder than the all-seasons on the highway at 75, and we don't take this car above 80 anyway. We have them on 5 months out of the year. These tires replace Michelins, which was a stretch for me as I've always loved Michelins, but wow, Goodyear does make a ---- good snow tire. Highly recommended. Side note, I'm amazed at all the people that say "I have all-seasons, I don't need a snow tire." They are so wrong. Tire rubber is extremely temperature sensitive, just like garden hoses. You should buy this tire.

...Far quieter, smoother ride and sharp handling...
These tires are a welcome upgrade over the stock Bridgestones. Far quieter, smoother ride and sharp handling. All weather performance is very good. I think the older “tripletread” Goodyears performed a bit better in snow and ice but you traded smooth ride and quietness.
...In the dry and wet conditions I rate this tire as a 10 because it is the best performing tire I have ever used... The one other feature that is outstanding is there straight forward tracking ability. I find driving on the interstate so enjoyable now because the car just wants to drive straight...
I have always been a summer tire / winter tire abuser in the past. I never thought I would stumble across an all season tire that performed this good. The tires I replaced were Michelin Pilot all seasons that came with this second hand car and I was not disappointed with there performance so I decided to replace them with a fresh set. When I saw the reviews and was offered the rebate on Tire Rack, I decided to give these Good Year Comfort Ride's a try. I only use these tires for summer use so I cannot attest to there performance in snow or ice. In the dry and wet conditions I rate this tire as a 10 because it is the best performing tire I have ever used. Extremely quiet like an 11 on a 1-10 scale. Be cautious driving in someone's blind spot, they will not hear you. The one other feature that is outstanding is there straight forward tracking ability. I find driving on the interstate so enjoyable now because the car just wants to drive straight. No fighting the wheel. I will add, this 2010 Honda Accord has 197 k miles with all original tie rods, ball joints, a-arms, and wheel bearings. My driving experience is 40 years of hooligan when I can. I highly recommend these tires to all drivers, your traveling speeds will increase 10 mph instinctually.

...They are quiet and provide a smooth ride...
These tires are far superior to the OEM tires they replaced. They are quiet and provide a smooth ride. I have had them for a year and about ten thousand miles. I have not had a lot of snow to deal with but when I have they performed as expected. Driving in heavy rain is very good and I have confidence in avoiding hydroplaning.

...Absorbs road imperfections and rides very smooth. A very quiet tire...
Just bought the tires. Had less than 100 miles. Absorbs road imperfections and rides very smooth. A very quiet tire. So far, if you are looking for something very sporty, this is not your tire. If your looking for a quiet, smooth, shock absorbing tire, this is it. These are my initial impressions. I am very happy that I decided to give this tire a go. Only time will tell if they hold up.

...They have been smooth riding and are wearing well...
I had a set of assurance tires on a previous car,so I took a chance on these and I wasn't disappointed. They have been smooth riding and are wearing well. We haven't had any snow to speak of this winter so I'm still not sure of their snow performance. Overall I have been pleased with them.

...they are quiet, handle well and so far are wearing very well...
So far extremely happy with these tires. I run them spring/summer - have my OEM rims with Goodyear WeatherReady2 tires for winter (love those too!). these have been great on long road trips and around town driving. they are quiet, handle well and so far are wearing very well. i would definatly consider these again and am considering them for my wifes 2024 Outback Turbo (for her summer rims)!
