The Assurance MaxLife is Goodyear's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sedans, minivans, crossovers, and coupes looking for a tire to help conserve fuel, prolong tread life and provide all-season traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even light snow.

The symmetric pattern of Assurance MaxLife tires features a continuous center rib for constant rubber-to-road contact and solid on-center feel. The intermediate ribs of the Assurance MaxLife feature Goodyear's Wear Gauge, which provides a visual indication of the tire's remaining tread depth, allowing drivers to continually monitor their tires' condition, instead of simply providing a warning at the end of their life. Notched intermediate ribs and semi-closed shoulders help the Assurance MaxLife track straight on the highway, while providing block edges for grip in wet conditions and, along with the deep circumferential grooves, a path to evacuate water from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. The all-season compound and multiple sipes help provide confident all-season traction in inclement weather.

The internal construction of the Assurance MaxLife consists of two steel belts supported by a single-ply, polyester casing. A one-ply, polyamide reinforcement aids handling response and delivers high-speed capability.

Goodyear Assurance MaxLife Reviews

Customer ratings showcase the Goodyear Assurance MaxLife as a strong performer in its Standard Touring All-Season category. Treadwear receives consistent praise (8-10 range), with many noting long-lasting durability. Comfort earns high marks for smooth ride quality and low noise levels. Winter traction shows mostly positive results (7-10) in light snow, though some report reduced confidence on ice. Wet traction excels with reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance (8-10), while dry handling delivers responsive steering and stable cornering (9-10). While a few winter scores dip lower (3-6), the tire's balanced all-season capabilities and strong treadlife make it a compelling choice for drivers prioritizing year-round usability and comfort.

...Great handling and great in the rain...

I got these at a discount price on tire rack as I believe there is a newer model assurance, and so far at about 1k miles these tires are fantastic. Great handling and great in the rain. The car tracks straight on the highway at high speeds. Did not have them in winter weather yet, but looking forward to it. It is my first Goodyear tire in a long time, I normally buy Coopers, but now they are one company, so not surprised they are so good. Highly recommended. I picked them up at a tire rack facility and saved some more money on that end. Pep Boys installed for a good price.

...Extremely quiet tire and excellent in the rain...

Excellent tire! Previously had Continental and the GY Assurance are much better. Extremely quiet tire and excellent in the rain. Tire Rack had them discounted almost $100 a tire so I took a chance hoping they would be good. Glad I did.

...I only put 500 miles so far, but used in snow, rain and dry weather and was excellent in all conditions...

Great tire for a great closeout price. This is the 2nd car which I purchased these goodyear assurance's at closeout price. Tire Rack is fantastic. Easy order and pickup and saved alot of money. The tire is excellent. I only put 500 miles so far, but used in snow, rain and dry weather and was excellent in all conditions. I brought to Pep Boys for installation and as usual they were good at a good price.

Good tires so far as I'm very glad I replaced my old Generals just before the east coast snow storm in late Jan. We had snow & ice, so I had a chance to put these new tires to the test. They've performed very well & have good traction in the snow and ice/sleets. Once it turned into all ice, of course the traction wasn't as good but for sleet & snow they've performed very well. Balance & traction on dry pavement is good but the tires are a little loud on the interstate. Small price to pay for the harder compound tires that are rated for 85K

...These tires handle way better than I had expected on the highway, particularly during Winter conditions complete with heavier snow here in the Great Lakes. While this Goodyear Assurance MaxLife is not a "Snow Tire", it handles snow pretty well; certainly better than I expected...

This is a very good tire, particularly for better treadwear and extended mileage, for a Goodyear tire. Also very pleased with the handling and traction. I'm pleased with the all-season ride, traction and road feel. It remains to be seen whether these higher end Goodyear tires meet their mileage rating. The certainly feel good...meaning lower overall rolling resistance. This appears to be a very good value for the price. They elevate the overall feel of my (older but well maintained) 2010 Mazda5 Sport. It's a great match. These tires handle way better than I had expected on the highway, particularly during Winter conditions complete with heavier snow here in the Great Lakes. While this Goodyear Assurance MaxLife is not a "Snow Tire", it handles snow pretty well; certainly better than I expected. Good overall value for the safety conscious driver.

Tires grip good in dry solid road surface conditions...

Tires hold air. Tires are round. Tires don't have much tread noise. I drive like a grandmother in straight lines and don't slow down for corners in the name of gas mileage. Tires grip good in dry solid road surface conditions. Traffic circles are entertaining. 2006 F-150 with 5.4L Triton 391k miles averaging 20.5 mpg over last 18 months. Truck rides rough on local very poor roads but this is due to the suspension, not tires. I spent a lot of time on the track in my younger years with essentially slicks, so I don't test the traction to the limits in the rain. Truck will hydro plane in puddles due to rutted roads, must slow down or avoid ruts if there is not oncoming traffic. One time hit spilled oil in a hard 90 degree turn during commute home and things got interesting but ended up ok.

...They stick almost like glue in dry weather...

Very quiet compared to the Tires that were on it when I bought it. I drive like I need to be there first most of the time and these tires keep up with my lead foot. I drive a mix of country roads, highway and city and I can barely hear them. They stick almost like glue in dry weather. I drive AWD but even in 3" of snow they held tight. I have a long gravel driveway that will definitely not make the wear rating but I will be buying them again when I wear this set out.

These tires are a hidden gem. Replaced the noisy and too - early worn out tires that came on my Lexus with these and everything is much better. Road noise is non-existent, and the wear is excellent. They have already lasted 20,000 plus miles with virtually no wear. Very happy with purchase. First time ever buying GoodYear and pleasantly surprised.
