The Assurance WeatherReady2 is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of compact cars, passenger sedans, and crossover SUVs looking for the smooth and quiet ride of a premium touring tire combined with the year-round confidence that comes from driving a vehicle equipped with all-weather tires, having met industry severe snow service requirements and qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Assurance WeatherReady2 callouts

Assurance WeatherReady2 tires feature a soybean oil derived compound molded into a directional tread pattern designed to maintain traction in all weather conditions. In addition, taking advantage of small, regular variations in tread block size, the Assurance WeatherReady 2 uses multi-pitch sequencing to dissipate road sounds and comfort inserts in the sidewall to smooth out uneven road surfaces for a comfortable ride. Goodyear's AquaTred technology comes alive in heavy rain, with V-shaped grooves expelling water and slush, enhancing both wet weather handling and wintertime snow traction. The soybean oil compound ensures the tire remains grippy and flexible when the temperature drops.

The Assurance WeatherReady2's internals make use of two layers of polyester plies surrounded by twin steel belts for the right blend of strength, rigidity and straight-line tracking. A polyamide cap completes the package, providing additional stability at highway speeds.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...the traction and grip of these tires on wet conditions are amazing.

These tires are definitely noisy if you have an electric car and you also get a hit to fuel efficiency (10-15% less), BUT, the traction and grip of these tires on wet conditions are amazing.

...Holy moly these cut through water like butter. I tested on the freeway during light rain and heavy rain. In heavy rain I could cruise at 85mph and maintain perfect control with little to no hydroplaning..pretty insane...

Great tires! Put these on my 2024 rav4 hybrid xse because the stock tires from factory starting slipping in wet after only 15k miles!

Get these instead of the popular Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires.

These things were night and day difference. I tested them in dry, wet and snow. Here are the results:

Dry: nice steering response, don't feel soft, only hear tire noise from the tread design at speeds lower than 10mph (not a big deal). These are actually more quiet than the stock all season tires that came on my car (Michelin primacy AS)

Wet: Holy moly these cut through water like butter. I tested on the freeway during light rain and heavy rain. In heavy rain I could cruise at 85mph and maintain perfect control with little to no hydroplaning..pretty insane. Grip on turns is awesome too.

Snow: Drove up to the pass and tested in 5-10 inches of snow. Went up and down cabin roads perfectly with no slip. Very confident in snow with these.

MPG: prob took a little hit but who cares, I live in the PNW where its wet and cold most the year so tires that perform well are important to me since I drive kind of fast!

If you live in climate like the Pacific Northwest, these are prob the best tires. If you are in places with nice weather, no need for these.

...The have excellent grip in the snow, and they do very well in the rain also...

These are great tires! When my OEM Pirellis started to go, I was considering purchasing another pair of them. However, the more I read about the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady2, the more I liked them. They offer excellent handling in all types of conditions, they are super quiet, and they are extremely durable. The have excellent grip in the snow, and they do very well in the rain also. The also offer a much more comfortable ride than the OEM Pirellis. I would absolutely recommend the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady2 tires.

I researched all options from Michelin,Cooper and Goodyear for my Pathfinder and took a leap of faith on these Goodyears. I am so happy and will be using them on my other cars. They are very sure footed in snow and rain. So good I had to remind myself the roads were poor and I had to adjust more as it felt like I was on dry pavement.. The tires are that great. Also very quiet and seem to handle better than the stock Bridgestones. Too early to tell wear though and I have had Goodyears wear out early lately in the 35k-45k range.

I replaced an old wore out set of summer tires with these Goodyear's, I could not be happier. I commute 46 miles one way to work 5 days a week. These tires are quiet, and have excellent traction in all weather conditions that I have experienced thus far. This is a top tier tire and I am very happy to have made the purchase.

...I tend to push my cars in a very spirited manner, and these tires perform beyond expectations. Wet and dry road traction has been excellent and I have not felt any loss of traction in either condition...

Replaced the OEM Yokohama tires on my new Outback after only 3000 miles. They were beyond useless on roads with ANY snow on them.
I saw these new Goodyear Weather Ready 2 tires on the tire site, read up on all reviews online, and decided to purchase a set.
Tires were delivered the next day, and installed by a local shop. The same day, we had about 2 inches of snow, and these tires were
excellent in it. They gripped well, with no issues stopping or starting.
I tend to push my cars in a very spirited manner, and these tires perform beyond expectations. Wet and dry road traction has been excellent and
I have not felt any loss of traction in either condition.
Tires give 100% better feedback of road traction than the OEM tires, and are very quiet on all surfaces so far.
To make things even better, there was a total of a $300 rebate on the tires AND a 60 day satisfaction policy.
I would recommend these tires and Tire Rack as a well rounded tire and a great company to deal with.

...Tread wear acceptable... Should get 45k miles no problem...

Best tire I've owned and I probably have bought 15 complete sets of tires. Great traction in the snow (the best I've driven outside of a full snow tire) - tire bites - and good all around driveability. I drive a CX9 and am happy with the side-to-side maneuverability - side wall sufficiently stiff. Naturally, you need to keep the tires properly inflated. Tread wear acceptable. Road noise I havent noticed. Should get 45k miles no problem. This tire checks all my boxes for the CX9 and I have recommended it to my oldest up in CT as well as friends and family.
