I drive my Saab HARD! These tires show little wear except on the sidewalls... People were passed on the shoulders of the road without me flinching because I knew these tires could hold their own...
I drive my Saab HARD! These tires show little wear except on the sidewalls. I bought these when I bought the car in New Hampshire, and drove down I-95, onto the NJ turnpike, and back to Indiana on I-70 on these at speeds in excess of 125mph...People were passed on the shoulders of the road without me flinching because I knew these tires could hold their own...great tires!

These tires make my big truck feel and ride like a sports car. On dry pavement I can go and stop as hard as I want, corner without squealing and do it without feeling every single bump in the road...

Snow and ice havent been a problem at all even though the tread doesnt look like it would do that well, it does. No sliding at all, unless you want to and in the rain it stays on the road and does very well.
To top it all off, it looks good too.

These tires are very good for the money spent. Dry traction is exceptional, while wet traction is above average. The tires work great with the Cadillac's AWD system ' I had no problems at all while driving in snowy conditions in Colorado.

...For 20s, they are very comfortable and stick very well...
Have over 44,000 miles on tires. Will see over 60,000 before worn out!! They have been great! Never had to rebalance or repair! I rotate every 6,000 miles and they are wearing evenly. For 20s, they are very comfortable and stick very well. A little slip in rain, and have never had in snow. Would definitely recommend and WILL buy again!!

...What the GT II gained in ride comfort, less noise and better wet handling it lost to the OEM GT in dry handling and steering response...
I bought this car new with the OEM Eagle GT.
I purchased the Outline White Letter Eagle GT II's for the OEM look.
Overall a decent tire for the price (about half of what an OEM Eagle GT cost in the late '80s). I was suprised at how well balanced they are (two wheels have no weights at all on them). At 30K on the tires, they still ride smooth.
What the GT II gained in ride comfort, less noise and better wet handling it lost to the OEM GT in dry handling and steering response. As mentioned, I've got 30,000 miles on them with at least another 10K to go on the 230,000 mile car. I got 38,000 on the OEM GT's when the car was new.
I'll probably buy again mainly to keep the OEM look on this unmodified 1986 Z28.

Winter traction shows concerning scores between 0-4 from many customers, with reports of slippery conditions, loss of traction, and unstable handling in snow. Despite being an all-season tire, numerous ratings highlight unacceptable winter performance and lack of snow grip.

...They handle well in the summer and on Dry pavement but in the snow and in cold weather they just don't perform like they should...
These tires would probably be much better on a sports car not a truck or SUV. They handle well in the summer and on Dry pavement but in the snow and cold weather they just don't perform like they should. Having a wider size at 285/50-20 on a 1998 Tahoe does not help winter driving either. In order to get better traction in the snow I had to have the tires siped which boosted traction about 40%. The sidewalls on all 4 tires have a bulge on them and in the rain my truck tends to slide out back more. I also lost a few mpg but gained it back when the tires were siped. My next set will be the Rugged terrain TA or the Geolander A/T-S in a 275/55-20 that will help a lot in my snow traction and get a lil mopre mpg.

...And the only complaint is the winter weather traction. But my truck is very light so it might not be the tires...
This is my second review and second set of these tires. I have had excellent wear from both sets. I never rotated them much so I would have got a lot more miles out of each set. The first set I think I put 50000 and they could have gone for 10k or more. This set has 55k and they could go another 10k but I think its time to replace them. Most the time my driving style is easy sometimes I really push my truck. When these tires are driven hard they take what you what you dish out. I have never lost traction in cornering. They arent the best in the rain the rear tires lose traction and sometime feel like they are going to hydroplane. Of course I havent been out of control at anytime with these tires. A few days ago we had rain storm and I was driving about 10-15 mph over the speed limit and they did just fine even though they are almost to be replaced. I have never had a flat on this set. The other set might have gotten one flat but I cant remember. In any case I have never had to change a tire on the side of the road or had any problem at all. I use my truck for lots of different things towing, off-road, highway, in city, hard turns, and snow. And the only complaint is the winter weather traction. But my truck is very light so it might not be the tires. I guess I will find out how other brands work in the snow. I cant find this tire anywhere for my truck so Im forced to change brands. I just hope the next brand can be as good as these tires in terms of tread life, trouble free, sporty look, and just all-around performance. Im looking at the INDY 500, Avid S/T and the BFG long trail TA. Any help!? From reviews I have read on the tirerack these three tires are suppose to be better than the GT IIs. If your are looking at getting this tire they arent the best but they are good all around tires.
