Eagle LS ("Luxury Sport") tires are Goodyear's Grand Touring All Season tires developed to deliver a smooth quiet ride and all-season traction, even in light snow. And while this makes them an appropriate choice for many of today's domestic and imported luxury sedans, Goodyear Eagle LS tires are also used as Original Equipment on minivans, crossovers, sport utility vehicles and specialty pickup trucks.

Eagle LS tires have a symmetric, independent tread block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide circumferential channels help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in light snow. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon (varies depending on size and speed requirements) for strength and high-speed durability.

Customers Say

Customer feedback data reveals the Goodyear Eagle LS delivers a smooth and quiet ride, with many ratings in the 7-10 range for comfort. However, treadwear scores show frequent concerns, with many reports of rapid wear. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with some drivers noting struggles in snow and ice. Wet traction also shows inconsistency, with hydroplaning resistance often scoring 5-7. Dry traction stands out as a strength, with scores frequently reaching 8-10 for confident handling and stability. While praised for comfort and dry performance, buyers prioritizing all-season versatility may find its wet and winter capabilities less reliable, alongside shorter-than-expected tread life.

...dry handeling is so so, the scion xbs suspension is pretty stiff for what it is and most roll is comming from the tires...

as the description says, i own a 06 scion xb. my driving is normaly spirited when it comes to turns and cornering, speed wise i normaly keep to the limits.

dry handeling is so so, the scion xbs suspension is pretty stiff for what it is and most roll is comming from the tires. for the xb though... dry handeling, these things stick rather well *ive been on 2 wheels before, vehicle will tip before it slides*.

wet handeling is VERY poor. i slip every time i pull from my drive-way on an easy throttle going into a 35mph zone thats fairly quiet most of the time. there are no power mods to my engine so im putting about 90hp and torque max at the wheels AND itf front wheel drive... if i slip with that, theres a problem. hydroplaning is no better either, i hydroplane all the time during normal rains on the highway / freeway doing 60mph.

as for snow... well, i havnt had the chance to test it BUT lucky me, as im writing this review, it just so happens to be snowing outside... im going to assume extremely poor handeling based off of normal wet rain handeling.

noise / comfert - i dont mind the noise much when im out for a good drive. the last vehicle i had didt have any sound deadening and was on som stiff coilovers and tires... this sounds about the same so for most people, its LOUD. comfert wise... for thier size, they should be ALOT smoother... but theyre not.

Tread wear is doing alright i supose. they are lasting me a while. last rotation was at 6,700miles, no teething yet so i dont need to rotate again for maybe another 1,000. i may have about 70% tread left easy. they dont look hardly worn compared to being brand new.

if you dont care about your safety... your life and others lifes and only care about tread wear, these tires are for you. if you DO care about your safety and safety of others... DONT buy these tires!

im going with BF-G Traction TAs next, i KNOW they are pretty nice.

...Sure you can buy tires with better handling and response, but you also end up paying quite a bit more for them...

Although Ive only had these tires for a short time, they seem to be very well made. Sure you can buy tires with better handling and response, but you also end up paying quite a bit more for them. Ive had some tires that were better and some that were worse. But when you find one that excels in one catagory it might end up lacking in another. I had a set of Yokohama Avid H4S that could out-handle the Eagles LSs, but the road noise they had was abolutely annoying. But there always seems to be a trade-off. So until the day I start running autocross again, these fit the job just fine. But yes I would buy these tires again unless I found a better set on sale.

I wanted the 55 sidewall instead of the50 so I could maintain the quality ride of my navigator... They are giving a quiet comfortable ride...

I bought these tires to fit my new Weld EVO 20" wheels, I wanted the "55" sidewall instead of the"50" so I could maintain the quality ride of my navigator. With 9000 miles on these tires now they are showing very little tread wear and no wear problems. They are giving a quiet comfortable ride,

I ballance and rotate these tires every 5000 miles " A Must Do folks"

So far these tires have perfomed as exspected with very satisfying resaults.

I am very impressed with these tires. As these were OE on my 2004 murano awd, I rotated them evey 6K, no problems at all handles all weather. Snow was a bit slipery around 64K but the AWD handled it well. I am buying these again as the mileage for the money is excellent.

Decent OE tire, not suitable for spirited driving or frequent highway travel in wet/rainy climate. Very quiet ride and low tire noise both in the city and on the highway. Ride is fairly comfortable. Overall, great for a grocery-getter but not for heavy use or lots of driving in variety of conditions.

...Wet traction and tread life are poor...

The Goodyear Eagle LS tires that are original equipment on my 2002 Jetta GLS are among the worst tires I have driven on in more than 20 years of driving. Wet traction and tread life are poor. The noise level is intolerable - the loudest I have ever experienced. Although they have 8,000-10,000 miles left on their tread they are being replaced now because of their exceptionally poor general performance.

These tires are OE on my car. I have only 17K on the tires and am meticulous about maintenance; in spite of this, these are some of the problems Im experiencing: constant vibration, no traction in wet/snow, 2 of the tires are already so low on tread they will have to be replaced. No way will I buy addtl Goodyears - the price is astronomical and the handling is way under par. This is not the first time Ive had problems with this manufacturer - my last two sets of GYears on an older car had similar problems: cupping, vibration, slippage on curves, poor wet/snow traction. I am giving Kumho ECSTAs a shot based on reviews and ratings at Tire Rack and their value for the money.

These are the original tires that came with the car new. I guess when you spend $24,800 on a car you expect the tires to outlast the factory warranty! Not the case with these Goodyears.

These are the original tires that came with the car new. I guess when you spend $24,800 on a car you expect the tires to outlast the factory warranty! Not the case with these Goodyears. Given the poor tread wear, I am guessing the only way Goodyear sells any of these tires is by giving them to GM at a good price!!!

Hard to tell how the handling is given the Grand Prix has widetrack and traction control. My guess, though, is that it is the car more so than the tires.
