Eagle LS ("Luxury Sport") tires are Goodyear's Grand Touring All Season tires developed to deliver a smooth quiet ride and all-season traction, even in light snow. And while this makes them an appropriate choice for many of today's domestic and imported luxury sedans, Goodyear Eagle LS tires are also used as Original Equipment on minivans, crossovers, sport utility vehicles and specialty pickup trucks.
Eagle LS tires have a symmetric, independent tread block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide circumferential channels help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in light snow. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon (varies depending on size and speed requirements) for strength and high-speed durability.

Customer feedback data reveals the Goodyear Eagle LS delivers a smooth and quiet ride, with many ratings in the 7-10 range for comfort. However, treadwear scores show frequent concerns, with many reports of rapid wear. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with some drivers noting struggles in snow and ice. Wet traction also shows inconsistency, with hydroplaning resistance often scoring 5-7. Dry traction stands out as a strength, with scores frequently reaching 8-10 for confident handling and stability. While praised for comfort and dry performance, buyers prioritizing all-season versatility may find its wet and winter capabilities less reliable, alongside shorter-than-expected tread life.

...Dry traction is quite acceptable however I may be experiencing some tire roll because the sidewalls may be a bit on the soft side...
This Audi bought used with 43K miles very recently. The tires have plenty of tread left so maybe they are not the originals judging by the many prior poor wear comments. I have NOT experienced hydroplanning or sloppy wet traction and believe me I tried. Dry traction is quite acceptable however I may be experiencing some tire roll because the sidewalls may be a bit on the soft side. The noise level, city and highway and all types of surfaces is quite acceptable and the ride is very decent. Overall these tires seem to be up to the standard of a mid-lux sedan. Too early to judge snow handling.

...They have great traction in the snow and rain. They ride great and are quiet...
These tires have 72,000 miles on them. They were on the car when I bought it new in 99. I can get another 8,000 miles out of them easily. They still have plenty of tread. They have great traction in the snow and rain. They ride great and are quiet. The funny thing is, I have never rotated them. I never saw a reason to because all 4 are wearing the same. I have absolutly now complaint with these tires at all. When I do have to buy new tires, I will definetly replace them with the same tire. I have never had tires with that many miles on them. I am wondering if the tires are going to outlast the car.

Eagle LS customers praise comfort, with most scoring 9s and 10s for smooth ride and quiet operation. While some ratings are lower, the majority highlight excellent refinement ideal for grand touring all-season driving.

I would rank them high for the noise, ride comfort and treadwear are very good...
I have put a couple of sets of the Eagle LS on my 300.
I would rank them high for the noise, ride comfort and treadwear are very good.
I would rate these lower on anything but dry road conditions. While I never have hydoplaned I have felt the tires lift off the pavement going through deep puddles. Even new they skid a bit when starting off from a dead stop on an incline. They tend to oversteer and I rank them quite low in wet, snow and ice.
Based on the reviews I see on Tire Rack, I am going to give the Yokohama AVID TRZs a spin. Hopefully they excel in the areas I have found the Goodyears Eagles lacking.

...An all round good, great tire for the average driver.
Good tread wear on rear tires, front tires worn down by driving style. I usually take a corner fast and aggresive, diving into it and rolling out. I also typically drive 10-15 over the limit on the highway. Guided the car good through snow last year, which is saying alot since it was a lot of snow, and it was the first time I not only had a manual trans car but I only had about 2 months to teach my self how. Still plowed through 4-5 inches of fresh powdery snow a number of times. An all round good, great tire for the average driver.

Mixed results with wet traction, as many customers scored 6 or below. Reports of sliding on wet roads and tendency to hydroplane, with hydroplaning resistance ratings as low as 0-3. Disappointing for an all-season tire.

This tire will aquaplane far too easily. I have had the tail end brakein heavy rain. I consider them to be unsafe and would not consider them again.
This tire will aquaplane far too easily. I have had the tail end brake twice in heavy rain. I consider them to be unsafe and would not consider them again. Wet traction seems to be a common problem for most Goodyear tires.

These tires are absolutely horrible. In the rain they dont grip at all. On dry pavement they flex very badly and under hard cornering they break away very easily. The only thing good about them is they ride fairly smooth. After 10,000 miles they are past the treadwear indicator and any grip they had is gone.

...However, the same can not be said when the roads get wet or snow packed...
These tires are great all around performers during dry conditions. However, the same can not be said when the roads get wet or snow packed. ---- help any poor slob dumb enough to try and drive with these tires in more than a couple of inches of snow. These Goodyears are by far the worst tires for winter conditions that I have ever had the displeasure of owning. My truck is useless if there is more than a couple inches of snow on the ground. Not a good trait for a work truck in the Midwest to have. It should also be noted that all four tires are down to their wear bars after only 22000 miles of normal use.

Winter traction shows concerning scores, with many 0-5 ratings highlighting slippery snow performance and frequent loss of grip. While some rate 7-8, numerous customers report being stuck or dissatisfied with sketchy winter handling in all-season conditions.

...I dont like the snow traction of these tires, but its not unacceptable...
Treadwear is even and rapid; I wont get 40K out of these. I dont like the snow traction of these tires, but its not unacceptable. The tires are noisy when cold, but quiet down when they warm with driving. The tires are whitebread bland and not worth the rapid wear.

Tire seems fine if your driving in the city, but I found it poor in wet conditions and getting worse as the miles pile up. Very poor in icy conditions or hard packed snow. I dont trust them on corners or stopping in wet / icy conditions. Worst tires Ive owned. And expensive to buy.

...After 23,500 miles and Im down to 4/32nds!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE! ... Thought they would last A LOT longer!?...
OK, I admit, I didnt do my homework! I saw the "Goodyear" name & a super deal & I bought them to replace worn out Dunlops on my daily driver car (I go from PA to CT 2x a month, sometimes NJ & NY). ASSUMED the Goodyear name would be of good quality, WRONG!! These Eagles LS(205/60r15) ---- *#@^ing dog food. 23,500 miles and Im down to 4/32nds!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE! When new, did ok in dry, had to get into a turn kinda fast for them to scream, but wet was always lousy & just got worse as time went on! Got to the point lost confidence in driving comfortable wet speed & found myself slowing down dirving like Grandpa. Thought they would last A LOT longer!? Like I said if I didnt get them so cheap Id be more pi**ed, Now I know why I got them so cheap. OK so this is my 2nd time ever buying Goodyear, so yeah Im slow but learned my lesson... GOODYEAR has LOST me as a customer for 4EVER!!!! Going back to DUNLOP(SP Sport A2) or BRIDGESTONE(Potenzas 910 or 950) : )

These tires seem to be a soft compound. At 35000 miles I am replacing them at about 40% tread remaining. Am replacing with the same tire because I like the improved handling and feel of the softer tire. They are very good when new in the wet. Dont buy them if you are looking for longer wear....
