The Goodyear Eagle Sport delivers excellent wet traction, with most scores 9s and 10s. Customers highlight confident rain handling and strong hydroplaning resistance, aligning with its all-season design. While a few lower ratings exist, the majority praise its reliable wet-weather performance.

...Wet traction is very good but like any tire there are limits; they'll hydroplane even with AWD if you're accelerating beyond what the conditions allow, e.g. heavy rain or pooled water...
OEM tires that came with my AWD SUV (performance/AMG43) and replaced originals with the same tires @35K miles. Now at 45K across the two sets mostly commuting 80 miles a day. For all-season run flats they''re surprisingly great on performance. A little on the noisy side and you feel every road imperfection, but that barely registers now even on a 400 mile drive from NorCal to SoCal. That experience will be mostly about your expectations. To me it''s a good trade off for having runflats that can corner at any speed with total confidence. Wet traction is very good but like any tire there are limits; they''ll hydroplane even with AWD if you''re accelerating beyond what the conditions allow, e.g. heavy rain or pooled water. Always prefer Michelins on sportier cars (not SUV) - have had Pilot Sport max summer (PS2, 4S) or all season (A/S 3+) across 5 or 6 vehicles. But with limited options for tire size on this one, I decided to stick with these Goodyears and a year/10K later I''m still happy with the choice.

These came as OEM set on our 2017 BMW 5 series with sport suspension. The traction in the dry and wet has been really good, more than needed to match our occasionally-spirited driving. I have never felt like traction was squirrelly or about to give way. Traction control rarely comes on, and when it does, it is more likely due to my driving line than the tires breaking loose. I echo what others have said about stiffness, but with the 704 sport suspension we have, it is difficult to tell which is more responsible for the stiffness. They are very quiet, however, at all speeds - a good mix of luxury and sport, befitting the 5 series. The only other downside is snow traction - carefulness is required - even at a light dusting. We put winter tires on seasonally for that reason, but that is our climate. In a climate with no or little snow, these can be used year-round. We recently had a screw puncture into the middle of the tread, and the tire never lost more than half its pressure, and we were able to drive it to a shop to get it plugged and repaired. The promise of run flat was met - it kept us driving until we got it repaired a day later. These are really good tires and meet their mission very well - high performance all season.

...It rains a lot in the Pacific Northwest and the wet grip is great...
Came standard on the 2018 MB GLC. Have put 35,000 miles on the tire in all weather conditions. It rains a lot in the Pacific Northwest and the wet grip is great. We also had a blizzard with 20+ inches of snow and the tires (along with the all wheel drive) handled it much better than I thought it would. My only issue with this tire (both good and bad) is the stiff run flat sidewalls. The good, it really gives it quick sporty handling the feels great in the curves. The bad, the stiff sidewalls provides a harsh ride and the additiinal cost of run flat tires. Roads that have any imperfections and small bumps make themselves known. I had considered putting regular tires on the vehicle but there is so much debis on the roads here, I often see female drivers in SUV's on the side of the road with flat tires here. And it always happens when its dark and rainy or in snow and/or the most inopportune of times. Not even going to chance my wife being in that situation if it can be avoided. Overall, these are great tires if you are willing to live with the loss of some road comfort. I would definitely recommed these tires if you are looking for a safe tire for all weather conditions and want the peace of mind of not be stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire.

Most customers rate winter traction highly with scores of 8-10, highlighting reliable snow performance. While ice traction shows some variability (scores 4-7), the tire delivers confident all-season capability for most drivers.

...Driven in TN, so limited driving on snow and ice - traction was fine on both, although Audi Quattro certainly played a role...
Great tire. Second set purchased for the Q7.
These are MUCH quieter than the OEM Continental and the Pirelli run flats (both were previously used on this car).
Driven in TN, so limited driving on snow and ice - traction was fine on both, although Audi Quattro certainly played a role.
The Q7 is heavy, although these tires still perform well when cornering and steering is responsive.
If you're replacing run flats on a Q7, this tire is a great option

...The tread width is wider than the Pirellis and it manifests in feeling more planted and responsive...
Much better run flat tire than the OEM Pirellis. The tread width is wider than the Pirellis and it manifests in feeling more planted and responsive.
As a rear wheel drive car, the Pirellis would break loose easily in the rain from a standing start. While I haven't driven in the rain yet, I think that the Goodyears will have more "stick".
As a run flat, the ride quality is a bit harsh, but after debating about the virtues of not having to worry about a flat , I decided to stay with the run flat.
I know that the Mercedes would ride quieter and softer with a non run flat, but I take the Merc on highway trips regularly and want the security of the run flat style.
I will review again after a few thousand miles.

...Quiet, comfortable and the performance given up from the Michelin Pilot Sport P4S was acceptable...
Well, they were pretty promising at 10,000 miles. Quiet, comfortable and the performance given up from the Michelin Pilot Sport P4S was acceptable because they are 100% better than the Michelin below 40 degrees and in the snow. (Note: the Michelin is a summer tire and these are all season). However, at 17,000 miles one tire is down to 4/32 on the tread. I did put in a warranty claim with Goodyear and they are going to reimbursement a percentage (yet to be revealed) AFTER I buy new Goodyear tires and install them and show that these have been disposed of. So I ordered 4 new tires, the new version of these, which no longer have a tread wear warranty. Next time, I will have to choose something else. These Plaid's eat tires. Too much torque for any tire. And if you buy a Plaid, wouldn't you use it too? I mean 1050 ft-lbs of torque has to wear something out, right? The Michelin's were done at 11,000 miles the second time and 9,000 miles the first time. But being that half the year, they were not good, it was not worth it. Maybe I will see of they make one for this car that is all season, even if I have to slightly change the size.

OEM tires. Run flats are getting better but cannot match regular tires for comfort. Still, these are pretty good. Performance in the dry and wet is overall very good for its category. Comfort is better than any other run flat I have experienced. Tread life is excellent and surpasses my expectations. I will buy again.

The Goodyear Eagle Sport excels in treadwear, with many customers scoring 9s and 10s for long-lasting performance. Most ratings fall between 7-10, highlighting strong durability in all-season use. A few lower scores suggest isolated concerns, but overall wear resistance impresses drivers.
