...Rain was fine, and even towing was fine in the rain...
I instruct at HP Driving schools, and took my F150 STX 2WD Supercab on a roadcourse (yeah, Mustang was broke) with these tires. Amazed at the confidence that you could corner. Rate dry cornering a 10 (surprised).
Put 60,000 miles on these tires, and still had some 10K to go. Wear factor was great a 10.
In snow, they did well. Not a Blizzak snow tire, but Michigan winters did just fine, and rate them a 9.
Rain was fine, and even towing was fine in the rain. I gave them an 8.
Overall, outstanding tire. Would definitely recommend them, and buy again.

Great tires! I have had none of the grip problems other people say they had during rain or snow. With my old Explorer with Firestones I could easily spin the wheels if I used aggressive acceleration when wet. I cannot with these tires. Last winter we had a lot of snow for VA, and these got me through it all. I go up and down a lot of large hills to get to work, and even with snow or slush, I had no problem driving even though there were plenty of other cars and pickups that werent able to make it. My moms BMW X5 got stuck in my flat driveway, and I had to pull her out with my Explorer with no slippage on the same sand-like ice pellets. Very satisfied.

These are the best tires for the money, period. Towed my 6000+# boat for over 4k miles. No noise, ride is great, no issues in the rain, aggressive tread - Nothing left to be desired here.

The Goodyear Wrangler AT/S earns strong snow traction ratings, with many customers scoring 8-10 for reliable deep snow performance. While ice traction shows some variability, its winter capability aligns well with all-terrain expectations, delivering confident handling in snowy conditions.

...I live in Northern Minnesota and our winter roads are always iced and snow covered... these tires are one of the best all season tires out there with no road noise on the hiway...
This is the perfect all around tire. I live in Northern Minnesota and our winter roads are always iced and snow covered. I also do a lot of ice fishing and these tires are one of the best all season tires out there with no road noise on the hiway. It's the very best all season tire out there. Yea it won't go through deep mud or sand but the average Joe doesn't drive that either. It's just a good all around tire. If you drive city and hiway in a lot of snow, rain or ice this tire will perform great for you

This tire has been just great, wasn't a Goodyear fan until having these. 40,000 and just over half tread. Push snow with the grill and have no problems, mud not an issue either. Definitely buy them again

Dont know what the hub-bub is about these tires, I love em, they handle and wear great. No hint of ever wanting hydro plane during heavy S.F. Bay Area rains even when Im going 70-80 on the freeway. I cant say that about the BFGs All Terrians I had on prior these tires. (Scary Tires!)Also havent noticed any more road noises from these tires then I do from the set of Contis on my Quattro. Just my take, sounds like Im in the minority.

...Dry traction is fine and ride quality is good...
Im amazed to see how many people get so many miles from these tires. They are factory originals with my vehicle with 20K miles and I have half or less of tread wear left on these tires. I dont smoke them, burn them or any thing of that nature. I pull a 5,000 lb boat and work in construction where the truck goes off road but nothing more then gravel and some mud. Dry traction is fine and ride quality is good. If you were to spit on the ground these tires dont hold and any snow worse then a dusting is a joke unless the roads have some salt on them. I would never buy these tires as a replacement, unfortunatley they are the only tires that fit my factory wheel combination without lowering my truck (smaller ratio)or going to a wider rim.

...Driving over 25,000 miles a year in varied vehicles, I find the quiet and smooth ride of the Wrangler ATS very surprising as do my guests...
The Goodyear Wrangler ATS tires mounted on the E150 Starcraft Conversion High Top van provide outstanding overall performance. The Starcraft equiped with a towing package with load levelers enhance performance with the Wrangler ATS tires. Driving over 25,000 miles a year in varied vehicles, I find the quiet and smooth ride of the Wrangler ATS very surprising as do my guests. As for off-road, these tires move through loose gravel, mud and snow like the proverbial "hot knife through butter". With these tires you must work to get stuck as many who borrow my van exclaim. Quiet, smooth, rough, tough and heavy hauling easily describe the Wrangler ATS tires - one of the best values on tires.

...The wear has been excellent, 61,000 mi and still a lot of tread remaining...
These are the OEM tires that came with my F150. The wear has been excellent, 61,000 mi and still a lot of tread remaining.
However, wet traction is terrible; they are unsafe. I use 4WD in rainy weather to keep the truck somewhat under control.
I had a blowout while driving in Alaska (10,000 miles on the tire). Goodyear gave me a 50% refund on the tire after I hassled them for several months, so I give Goodyear some credit for that.
Goodyear makes some good tires, but the Wrangler RT/S is not one of them.

These are are my second set. My first set I put on 51,000 miles on them. Probably would have gone further if I didn't hit a curb--tire then developed a sidewall bubble. I have 45,000 on the current set. Will replace them probably after the summer. both sets have had very even treadwear, no cupping. I rotated every 6,000 miles. They are very quite for how knobby they look. Might try the Good Year Fortera Triple Trend next.
