I drive city/highway but dry and wet traction is excellent and traction in light snow is good...

I replaced Wrangler SRAs with Fortitudes. Surprised to see others write negative reviews as these have been fantastic tires. I currently have 57,544 miles on them and it appears they will go another 15,000 to 20,000 miles. Treadwear has been very even. I rotate around every other oil change. I drive city/highway but dry and wet traction is excellent and traction in light snow is good. I give them two thumbs up.

...Wet traction is still very good.

Decent tire all round especially when new. At 60k snow traction is terrible. 4 wheel drive is a must in snow conditions. Expect to get another 10 -15k out of this set of tires. But will not drive them thru another winter. Wet traction is still very good.

Best Tires I've ever had on a Truck. They don't slide or spin when it's wet, they are quiet, they grip the road extremely well, can handle a load in my truck bed and have lasted 67,500 miles so far and aren't done yet. I will buy this tire again for my truck when these finally wear out.

...Excellent dry traction...

.Overall, a good 3 season tire. At 29k I have about 1/2 of the original tread left. Rides very quiet on highway. Excellent dry traction. Good wet traction. Not too good in the winter. I would not run these tires in a New England winter.

...they are comfortable, quiet, and offer excellent traction in all conditions that I have encountered ( snow, rain, etc, haven't done any off roading so can't say there)...

oem tire on my '15 ford f150 ,
I was deeply sorry to see that ford put goodyear tires on the f 150s,
I expected to replace them with michelins @ several thousand miles and give them to
someone that I don't like...
Shockingly, these have been great tires so far,
they are comfortable, quiet, and offer excellent traction in all conditions that I have encountered
( snow, rain, etc, haven't done any off roading so can't say there)
I just turned 10,000 miles and so far tread wear is excelllent,
and tire performance is the same as new.

I am very curious to see how these tires continue to perform with more miles
and will update this review(if I can remember).
So far these have been excellent, though.

Oh boy, these tires are so quiet and smooth. Great shoulder lugs with great sippings for superior cornering traction and handling in wet and dry weather conditions. Very sporty and responsive steering feedback. Offers great interaction with the driver. It organically connects with the driver in confidence. It's soft and strategically engineered center rib provides maximum comfort and steering response on the highway and city driving. This isn't a 3PMS rated tire but will provide good traction on untreated roads in light and deep snow. It's good on ice and slush as well. Very efficient on fuel. Treadwell is rated very high as well, so this will safe money in time for everyone. This tire just tracks so well and offers so much grip overall. I drive my truck for work and personal use. Travelling through various terrains ranging from easy to difficult. Hills, mountains, highways, city roads, washboard roads, unevenly paved roads, gravel roads, downtown streets, ABSOLUTELY a champ in all weather conditions. It handles very sporty and well in small tight spaces as well. I ocasionally tow old vehicles with a trailer and these tires perform SUPERB. It provides such a high level of comfort, I look forward to buying my next set!

Original equip on my 2016 2wd Colorado Z71. Was concerned when I saw GY's on the truck since I have never been a big fan. Now I am pleasantly surprised. Tires are much quieter than I thought they would be and are VERY smooth. Can't comment on treadwear yet but will as the miles accrue. So far very pleased.

...Comfortable riding tire, absorbs bumps, expansion joints, and uneven pavement very well. Very quiet even at freeway speeds...

These are the OEM tires on my base model GMC Canyon, and the first set of Goodyear tires I have had on any vehicle. So far I am satisfied with the tires after 1,000 miles, and would recommend them to drivers who want a quiet, comfortable riding tire with the ability to confidently tackle the occasional dirt/gravel road in dry conditions. As others have commented, this is a highway tire with a bit more aggressive tread pattern--I would describe it as the truck version of Goodyear's Assurance model.

What I Like:
- Comfortable riding tire, absorbs bumps , expansion joints, and uneven pavement very well.
- Very quiet even at freeway speeds.
- Excellent fuel economy; while I am a conservative driver, I am consistently beating the EPA estimates by 3-4 mpg city and highway.
- Good dry weather traction, and handles dirt and gravel roads better than a traditional highway tire.
- Aesthetically pleasing look; the tire looks like it belongs on the truck. Several new truck models today come with awkward looking or unsightly OEM tires.

What I Would Improve:
- Substantial body roll during cornering. Part of this issue is the truck itself, and part of it is the larger sidewall of the tire. However, despite the reasonable weight of the truck and large relative width of the tire, they do not inspire confidence in corners.
- Mediocre wet weather traction; not as good as other tires I have had in the past, but certainly not the worst either.
- Hydroplaning resistance; I suspect much of this stems from the fact that the Canyon is lighter than my prior F150, but regardless, the tire does not inspire a lot of confidence when I see puddles ahead of me.

As I have only had the tires for just over 1,000 miles, there are many variables I cannot comment on, and I will update this post at 25-30 k miles. So far the tires are solid on the highway and on dry dirt/gravel roads, and leave a bit to be desired in wet conditions.

...VERY IMPRESSED with the ride comfort, handling, braking, and traction of these tires! ... Smooth, quiet highway ride, with confidence-inspiring handling (cornering), and braking.

These tires came as OEM on my new 2015 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4. I've been a truck and SUV owner since 1988, and have always had Goodyear or Michelin tires. I had Michelin Latitude Tour tires on my most recent Chevy Avalanche, and have Latitude Tour HP tires on our 2011 Acura MDX. In the past I've had Michelin LTX and Cross-Terrains, and several sets of Goodyear Wranglers including TripleTred tires. I never buy "cheap" tires and consider myself well-versed in all-season truck/SUV tires, if not an outright subject matter expert.

I came to TireRack to learn more about these Fortitude HT tires, and, finding no reviews, figured I'd add the first.

Overall, I am VERY IMPRESSED with the ride comfort, handling, braking, and traction of these tires! I do not feel Goodyear is "reaching" by advertising these as premium tires. They really are very good.

We've had a record-braking winter for snow in New England, so I've had plenty of opportunities to use my new truck in slippery conditions. Very good acceleration and braking in snow and slush.

I had to go on a business trip to Vermont, and put 600 highway miles on them in a matter of just a couple days. Smooth, quiet highway ride, with confidence-inspiring handling (cornering), and braking.

I have not yet towed anything, but did load up my truck with over a thousand pounds of cargo, and didn't notice any issues. Some tires feel "squirrely" under load. Much of this may be due to the truck itself, but I thought it worth noting.

I cannot yet comment about treadwear life, but based on the UTQG ratings, I'm very hopeful these Goodyear tires will last a long time.

I live in New Hampshire and this tire came stock on my Chevy Silverado. Do not select this tire for winter driving. Doesn't matter if it's 1/4" or 6", absolutely useless. If these tires encounter any type of ice conditions, begin to pray. This tires are only good for summer driving and nothing else. Doesn't matter if I'm in 4wheel mode or not, there completely useless. My Toyota Camry handles 100x better in the winter.

They came on my truck when I bought it. The tires were brand new but ice and snow traction was horrible. Wet traction is marginal. They also squeal super easy. ...Worse in 1-2" of snow. Poor in more than 1-2" of snow, even in 4WD with an auto-locking rear diff...

Strengths
- Very smooth and quiet tire to the end
- Long-wearing (still had 5/32" tread at 60k miles)
- Wore very evenly across the tread
- Never needed to be rebalanced
- Very controlled tire (responsive to steering, no squirming even with a half ton of material in the bed or pulling a trailer)
- No change in behavior in either cold or hot weather

Weaknesses
- Not good on wet surfaces (Rear tires would break loose easily with mildly aggressive acceleration)
- Worse in 1-2" of snow
- Poor in more than 1-2" of snow, even in 4WD with an auto-locking rear diff

Other thoughts
- The tradeoff of having a little thump over bumps, but having no squirm with a full load, was a good one
- One of the lighter tires in this size, which contributes to the good fuel economy I've gotten with my truck. It would hit more than 29 mpg on a long, flat highway drive, and still better than 27 mpg on a highway drive across the Pennsylvania mountains. A heavier tire would pull those numbers down a bit.
- Fine on gravel and hard dirt roads, but mud was too slick for them

In short, great for half-ton pickup truck duty pulling full loads on dry pavement or gravel roads. But they quickly would lose their composure outside those parameters. In the right, limited environment, these would be great tires. But they're not a great fit for the mid-Atlantic states.
