Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Rating patterns indicate the Goodyear Wrangler HT delivers strong dry traction (scores 7-10) with reliable cornering stability and responsive handling, aligning well with its highway all-season purpose. Treadwear receives praise for longevity in many cases (8-10), though some report rapid wear (3-5). Comfort stands out with a smooth, quiet ride (7-10), though a few note inconsistent noise levels. Winter traction shows significant concerns (0-5), particularly on ice and in deep snow, with wet traction also mixed (3-8) due to hydroplaning risks. While it excels in dry conditions and comfort, drivers seeking confident winter or wet performance may find limitations.

This tire has supreme wet traction and dry traction as well.Beside that i was amazed how good those tires were on on light snow.I did drive all winter season without any traction problems.Being in construction business and getting to the job cite a do drive on unpaved road a lot.Never got stuck in a mud.Have used a lot of different brands and models before.
These are the tires i will definitely be using on my cargo van again and again.

...Compared to other tires I have used on this vehicle, the Goodyear HT are superior in dry traction, handling, and treadwear, none of which I expected from an OEM tire.
After 68,000 miles of use, much of it towing 12,000 pound trailers, these tires still have significant tread left.

Since replacing the stock Firestone Wilderness AT's I have been extremely happy with this tire! My biggest complaint about the firestones was that they wander all over the road on the highway. The Goodyear Wrangler HT's DO NOT WANDER. Cornering is excellent (for a truck). Noise also dropped when replacing the firestones. Ride may be stiffer. My original priorities in selecting a tire was highway/on-road performance but I have been pleasantly surprised with this tire in offroad situations. In the snow I popped into 4x4 and went up an icy driveway where other 4x4's were slipping. Pulls the horse trailer out of the mud just fine. At 40000 miles I still have lots of tread life left (I rotate them religiously). I will definately buy this tire again- Good job goodyear!

...Ive been very happy with the ride and comfort in dry and wet conditions... Also appreciate the quiet ride...
These were OE tires. Ive been very happy with the ride and comfort in dry and wet conditions. I tow 5,000lbs of boat. Great traction at the launch ramp. Also appreciate the quiet ride. Just wish I could get more than the 2400 miles of treadwear. Its time for new tires.

...the tires are quiet and make the truck ride like a luxury car...
We have bought 2 sets of H/Ts in 35,000 miles. They are a good traction tire with suprising grip in the rain. But The first half of the tread wears rapidly, leaving worn tires for most of the tires life. The H/T is performance rubber on a heavy duty application. Good grip, but soft rubber. Beware of gravel roads, as they will eat these tires tread. The last set looks like Ive driven them on the Baja 1000, not on 80% street 20% gravel.

Many customers report excellent tread life with scores of 9s and 10s, highlighting long-lasting performance for highway all-season use, though some note inconsistent wear with lower ratings.

...The treadwear has been great and traction has been excellent.
I have these tires on the front of my 4x2 truck. I love these tires. I would imagine that if they were on the rear as well the traction would not be as good in the snow. On the front these tires have performed much better than I expected. The treadwear has been great and traction has been excellent. I cant think of one complaint I would have with these tires. Im definately going to buy these again for the front. I run the Goodyear M/Ts in the back and have had no problems with combination. I have a locking rear and with the tires combination I go where all the 4x4s go!

Wet traction scores range widely with many between 3-6, indicating mediocre performance. Customers report sliding on wet roads and hydroplaning concerns, showing disappointing grip for a tire marketed as all-season. Some note floaty handling in rain.

Although acceptable in dry conditions, these tires are simply horrible in the wet. Even driving very carefully I have had several heart-stopping moments in the rain with these tires even at very low speeds (I kid you not - even at 10 MPH I have found myself wondering if the van was going to stop). These tires are very dangerous in my opinion and are coming off my van even though they still have 75% of the tread left.

...The yokahama y356 is a far superior tire!... The y356 also has mutch better wet traction.
I will never buy these tires again! These tires (load range c 6 ply version)came on a toyota 1ton dually box truck I bought from uhaul. I had to buy 1 untill I found tire rack since they are the only locally available in this size and load rating. They have REALLY weak sidewalls. I ruined 3 dropping off curbs. EVERY TIME I tried to drop off a curb or hit one I'd loose a tire. The yokahama y356 is a far superior tire! I've never lost a side wall yet, even after a 40mph hit of a curb with no damage. The y356 also has mutch better wet traction.

...Honestly, it makes a person scared to drive in any kind of wet weather!...
These are the worst tires I have EVER owned. Came with the truck and honestly, it makes a person scared to drive in any kind of wet weather! Not only would I not buy a set of these again, I will NEVER buy Goodyear again!!

Winter traction receives concerning ratings, with many scoring 0-5. Customers report slippery in snow, loss of traction, and getting stuck. Lack of winter handling makes this tire unsuitable for severe conditions.

...They spin out like crazy... They would make terrible off road or winter tires...
I just got a new dodge ram 4x4 sport and these were the stock tires. I can't wait to get them off. They spin out like crazy. They are not a good pair with the 5.7 HEMI. They would make terrible off road or winter tires. I don't understand why they are so popular on new vehicles.

...On even the slightest amount of snow or, --- forbid, ice these things turn into sleds. It took me more than 200 feet to come to a complete stop last night, at 20 MPH, on a quarter inch of fresh snow. Later on I went out to move the truck and as soon as I let it roll about a foot (no gas) it slid down the length of my 60 foot driveway (moderate slope) at a 45 degree angle!...
The vehicle is a GMC C3500 dually service truck but TireRack doesn't have it in their selection. These tires were on the truck when I bought it used about 18 months ago. At the time I bought the truck the tires had about 6,000 miles on them and I've put another 6,000 on. These are, bar far, the worst tires I've ever driven on in more than 45 years of driving everything from cars to trucks. Handling on dry pavement is okay, but anything other than bone dry roads and you better leave plenty of stopping distance! On even the slightest amount of snow or, --- forbid, ice these things turn into sleds. It took me more than 200 feet to come to a complete stop last night, at 20 MPH, on a quarter inch of fresh snow. Later on I went out to move the truck and as soon as I let it roll about a foot (no gas)it slid down the length of my 60 foot driveway (moderate slope) at a 45 degree angle! This was on a very heavily salted asphalt drive with a little bit of slush on it. I will be replacing these things ASAP, even though they have good tread left, and I'll be cutting the sidewalls on them before I dispose of them so no one else tries to use them and maybe gets hurt. Terrible, terrible tires!
