The Alenza AS Ultra is Bridgestone's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of SUVs, crossovers, and light-duty trucks looking for a quiet, luxurious ride; good performance; and long tread life. The Alenza AS Ultra is designed to combine good dry handling with enhanced wet traction and all-season capability for confident performance, even in light snow.

An advanced, high-silica compound is molded into a symmetric pattern for inclement weather traction and noise comfort while allowing for flexible rotation options to maintain even tread wear. Wide circumferential grooves reduce hydroplaning and feature Quiet Tracks at the tread base to help reduce pattern noise and improve driving comfort. Tread blocks feature Snow Vices that create powerful biting edges for winter performance, along with generous siping for slippery surface traction.

The internal construction of the Alenza AS Ultra utilizes a two-ply, polyester casing that balances a luxurious ride with durability. Twin, steel belts provide stability along with a single, nylon reinforcement for enhanced high-speed capabilities to suit modern luxury vehicles.

These tires have been excellent so far. They’re very quiet on the road and offer strong traction, especially in wet conditions where the control feels solid and predictable. I switch to dedicated snow tires in the winter, so I can’t speak to their performance in heavy snow, but for the rest of the year they’ve been outstanding.

Despite being so affordable these tires haven't let me down. I've never hydroplaned in them and it took some very fast cornering to finally make them lose grip in the rain.
My most recent "panic stop" from faster-than-I-should to zero really proved their worth and made me want to write a review. My car doesn't have ABS and not for a moment did I feel like I was losing control.
I haven't put many miles on them but I've had them for about 5 years now and they show every little signs of aging. No signs of tire rot and they're still a deep black rather than a fading black (I never use any tire dressing or anything like that. I don't even clean the sidewalls of my tires when I wash my car). However, while I do store my car outside, I always keep it under a car cover and there's no freezing temperatures in my climate.

...The 500 treadwear rating provides excellent longevity and the 6 out of 10 stiffness of the sidewall provides very crisp turn in...

These are a great all rounder for any climate. I have these mounted on multiple cars in the driveway both an Audi A5 and a Mercedes C 300 Sport 4matic. The 500 treadwear rating provides excellent longevity and the 6 out of 10 stiffness of the sidewall provides very crisp turn in. The ultimate grip is of course compromised compared to a high performance tire but is so far in my experience one of the best in it's class. Snow? No problem again top of its class. I had the opportunity to Lap the C300 at Watkins Glen for charity immediately following a deluge of rain. While traveling above highway speeds aquaplaning was minimal and the tread still provided a respectable slip resistance in the corners. Watch out for that curb paint though its worse than Ice. Overall these are great tires and I will replace them with another set without reservation.
