The Kumho Solus TA31 earns strong wet traction ratings, with many customers scoring 8-10. Positive feedback highlights confident grip and stable hydroplaning resistance, aligning well with its Grand Touring All-Season design for dependable wet-weather performance.

...For a street tire in the rain they almost grab the road as good as my Rain tires...
I did not have Kumho's B4 so this was my first set. I could not believe how good they gripped the road. I have raced Road race cars and done high speed AX. For a street tire in the rain they almost grab the road as good as my Rain tires. On the dry they have very good corner grip. I would buy again. Ron

...The ride was instantly better and I changed the Firestone tires early because my child was taking this car to college and didn't want them losing traction in rain or snow like would sometimes happen to me with the original tires. My 2021 Kicks had 32,000 miles when I bought it and OEM Firestone FT-140 tires that were relatively worn out. I went with the Kumho Solus TA31 at about 58,000 miles and could not be happier. The ride was instantly better and I changed the Firestone tires early because my child was taking this car to college and didn’t want them losing traction in rain or snow like would sometimes happen to me with the original tires. Happy so far with the Kumho wear and the traction and ride are top-notch. You cannot go wrong with these Kumho Solus TA-31 tires for your Nissan Kicks.

...I'm more than happy with the ride quality and traction I have experienced in dry and very wet driving.
These tires are OE on my Nissan Kicks. I’ve only driven 1200 miles. I used to make Goodyear tires in Topeka, KS so I know about different rubber compounds and the different components that go into the tire building process. These use a softer rubber compound in the tread which usually means better traction but can lead to short tread life. With these being rated at 380 A A also leads me to believe that they won’t make the 60k advertised tread life. The only thing that could help extend this is the A rated temperature rating. Generally in my experience, 380 rated tread life would last about 38k miles. The A rated temperature might extend this to 45k - 50k miles. If they do indeed reach the 60k miles claimed I will definitely purchase another set of these as replacement. I’m more than happy with the ride quality and traction I have experienced in dry and very wet driving.

...I was surprised how well they gripped in the dry during some spirited driving. However that's about the only positive I have for them...
These were the OE tires on my car and I’ve been patiently waiting for them to need replacing. Overall it’s not a terrible tire but I can only describe it as decent. I was surprised how well they gripped in the dry during some spirited driving. However that’s about the only positive I have for them.
The road noise is way more than I like. Having previously used Falken and Yokahoma for years these were a shock to my ears at highway speeds. Of course after 40k miles you tend to set used to it, but I just know there’s better out there in that regard for the price.
Wet weather performance has never been great. In the city they’re fine and will grip from a stop, but on a wet interstate they can be scary. And now at 40k miles they’re just dangerous. I was out the other day and it was raining moderately I’d say. Not a storm and not flooding, but a steady rainfall. I couldn’t get above 60mph without my traction control heavily kicking in.
I will be very happy to move on from these tires.

...Tread depth at that point was still 7-8 so problem. Got to 60K, still at 4-5. I'm currently approaching 75K and it appears they may finally be getting to 2-3...
These were OEM tires. Never heard of this brand before I got the Hyundai. Heading into my fourth decade as a drive I've tried a lot of tires on a lot of vehicles and these are by FAR the best tires I have ever owned. I had no idea what the warranty was, but around 40,000 I figured I'd need to look at replacement like any typical OEM. Tread depth at that point was still 7-8 to so problem. Got to 60K, still at 4-5. I'm currently approaching 75K and it appears they may finally be getting to 2-3. I have used almost every other brand and currently have high end Michelin's on another car of ours that my garage was telling me to replace after 10K because they had already worn to 3-4 in 12 months. Being as upset as I was with that, I have been very impressed with the Kumho wear.
I am very confused with the snow comments and the road noise. Live in the snow belt, so think Buffalo, NY levels of snow at times, we average well over 100 inches a year. While they are not perfect, it has been rare that I would complain about these tires. Not sure if other raters expect a tire to never spin or what, or if they drive too fast for conditions. Sure if I'm trying to go 60 on an unplowed road this tire will not handle that. That's not the tires problem, that's the driver not knowing how to drive in snow. If you drive appropriately I would say you'll love this time in snow. I have had to head to work on unplowed roads with over 6 inches and was doing fine. I do not find the road noise to be anything I even notice even at this late stage as the tire is getting to end of life. I am getting ready to order another set, which is why I was on Tire Rack, to check prices. Was totally surprised by the overall low scores for a tire that has been the most awesome set I have ever owned. Felt I needed to offer up a contrary viewpoint as this is a tire I never want to see go away. I'll likely buy it for any car it will fit for the rest of my life.

Customers report poor winter traction, with many scores 0-5 in snow/ice. Frequent mentions of slippery conditions, getting stuck, and lack of snow grip. Despite being an all-season tire, winter performance disappoints with unstable handling and sketchy traction.

These tires were installed by the dealer as a condition of the purchase. I regret that I agreed to this particular tire. I have not been able to drive the car at all with snow on the ground. It has ZERO snow/ice traction. I can put the car in the driveway and spin the tires without touching the accelerator. Kuhmo needs to recall these tires and recycle them into something more useful. They are absolute trash. Unsafe in wet weather and dangerous in snow. Save your money and buy something else.

...Dry, the tires were ok, wet they were prone to hydroplaning, and snow/ice is just poor.
These Kumho Solus TA31 were OEM on 2019 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition Bought the car used with 13k, so can't speak to tire rotation before then, but was done every 7.5k thereafter. One got a sidewall puncture & was replaced with same TA31. A little over 40k, two original tires are down to wear bars, third is at 3/32 (this tire struggled to hold air the last 10k and required inflation weekly, even with replacement valvestem). Even though PA roads aren't the best, can't imagine how these could ever make it to 60k manufacturer rating - the Elantra isn't a very heavy car. Dry, the tires were ok, wet they were prone to hydroplaning, and snow/ice is just poor.
