Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The Energy Saver A/S is Michelin North America's most fuel-efficient All-Season Passenger car tire developed for the drivers of hybrid and fuel-efficient passenger cars that want to exploit their vehicle's fuel economy without abandoning dry, wet and wintertime traction. Representing the forefront of Michelin Green X technology, Energy Saver A/S tires can enhance vehicle operating efficiency and environmental impact by reducing fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions while delivering year-round traction, even in light snow.

Expanding on the technologies of the Michelin Energy Saver summer tires introduced in Europe during 2007, the Energy Saver A/S All-Season Passenger car tire introduced in North America during 2009 offers exceptionally low rolling resistance at or below the levels offered by its European summer tire counterpart.

The Energy Saver A/S features Michelin's EnergySaver Construction combined with a unique silica-based tread rubber that helps improve engine fuel efficiency by keeping the tire cooler. This compound is molded into a symmetric design that features siped, independent tread blocks to combine predictable handling, no compromise stopping performance and all-season traction without trading fuel efficiency. Circumferential and lateral grooves direct water through the tread design to help resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction.

Michelin Comfort Control Technology uses computer-optimized design and precision manufacturing to reduce vibrations and road noise to keep the vehicle quiet. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide on top of a polyester cord casing to combine strength, efficiency and comfort.

*Specific sizes featuring Green X technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...After the tires wore down, wet & snow traction significantly diminished, but that's of course to be expected with any tire...

Great tires, 40,000 miles already and still have about 20% of tread remaining. The tires are still quite, smooth, and have no vibrations. The wear is even on all 4 tires. Dry road feel is equivalent to when tires were new. After the tires wore down, wet & snow traction significantly diminished, but that's of course to be expected with any tire. Overall, couldn't be more pleased and will most likely re-purchase again.

Tires were good in dry an wet traction...

Tires were good in dry an wet traction. At 20k miles poor stopping ability in light snow. Very harsh ride. went to non-run-flat Pirelli Ice and Snow winter tires. Smoother ride. Will go with non-run-flat Continental crosscontact LX 20 in spring.

...These tires have provided very predictable dry traction/acceleration grip...

Hard to believe but only after about 12,000 miles (one year of normal driving) these tires are already so worn that the service technician recommends replacing them. Most of my driving is highway miles to and from work (about 25 miles each way). They are absolutely horrible on snow/ice of any depth, and if you have to drive on any highways that have concrete grooves in them, the tires want to swerve and handling of your vehicle gets very difficult. This experience with Michelin tires is one I will not forget and will not be looking to buy Michelins in the future. Buyer beware!

...Reasonable comfort; less than average noise.

Purchased run-flat tires to return the vehicle to the configuration as originally equipped. After 15,000 miles on these tires, I am very pleased with the performance in all conditions. Treadwear so far barely noticeable. Reasonable comfort; less than average noise.

...The harder ride, but worth it.

This is the second set of these tires. The first set lasted for 65,000 miles and true fully I could have gone another 10K but I would rather be on the safe side.
I do rotate the tires about every 6000 miles, a pain but it keeps the tires from uneven wear, and accounts for the longevity of the tires.
The run flats are a bit harder ride, but worth it.

almost "eerie" how smooth and quiet these tires are - this was the OEM tire and was so impressed with how quiet and balanced they were - even with virtually no tread remaining - made my decision to purchase same tire. most times I replace tires before they are used up, because they are noisy and unbalanced, not these, ran em done to almost bald.

Most of you may find this difficult to believe, but I have driven 91,000 miles on these original tires. Three (3) of the 4 tires have been patched. The Thread is roughly about 70% worn and based on just a visual look at the tire I can easily get to the 100,000+ mile mark on all 4 tires.

Most of you may find this difficult o believe, but I have driven 91,000 miles on these original tires. Three (3) of the 4 tires have been patched. The Thread is roughly about 70% worn and based on just a visual look at the tire I can easily get to the 100,000+ mile mark on all 4 tires. These are the original Run Flat tires.

Needless to say I am considering replacing the tires and my only consideration is to replace with the same exact tires. These tires have delivered to me 91,000 miles and it works for me so no need changing them.

My driving style is easy going. I would say that roughly 70,000 of the 91,000 miles have been highway miles taking the family to Boston, Florida, Virginia and driving frequently to my job weekly in DC. I live in NJ. I treat my car with care; no sudden stops, no fast starts and I go around corners without much tilt on the vehicles. Once in a while I go for a thrill drive and put the car in sports mode and go for it.

These tires are great. I would recommend them. I am not affiliated with Michelin or any other interests. Just love these tires because they have delivered 91,000 miles and are still in good conditions besides being patched.

...It looks like I should be able to get another 10K to 15K out of the tires (wish it were more). I think that would probably be good wear due to the weight of the vehicle, sport package, and AWD.

I purchased my X5 used (01/09) with 7,800 miles on it. These are the OEM tires. I do not do a lot driving anymore and average about 5K to 6K a year (current mileage is about 17,600). So far the tires are great, very quiet and handle very well (love the sport package). Took a 2K road trip last year and the tires performed very nicely and were quiet. Picked up a piece of metal in the left rear this week, but the tire shop was able to repair it. This was my first experience with run-flats and I think they are great. It looks like I should be able to get another 10K to 15K out of the tires (wish it were more). I think that would probably be good wear due to the weight of the vehicle, sport package, and AWD.

...My current set has 60k on them and I wouldn't be changing them if it wasn't such a icy snowy winter...

I just ordered my third set of these tires and honestly I TRUST them. My current set has 60k on them and I wouldn¿t be changing them if it wasn¿t such a icy snowy winter. I¿ve had 3/4 tires patched and never had a issue afterwards. I¿ve driven with one flat over 30 miles and parked it overnight till I could fix it in the morning. I drive a diesel so I don¿t know if these tires are loud, I¿ve never noticed them. I¿ve had my fair share of road rage so I¿m really surprised about all the reviews saying the tread life was low... my first set was used mostly in city. My second set was used on mud, gravel, dirt roads, highway, country, and city.
