The Latitude Tour HP ZP (Zero Pressure technology) is Michelin's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season run-flat tire developed for the drivers of premium crossover and sport utility vehicles that offers temporary extended mobility (up to 50 miles at 50 mph) in the event a puncture results in complete air loss.Used as Original Equipment by BMW, Latitude Tour HP ZP tires are designed to combine run-flat confidence and comfort with handling and all-season traction, even in light snow.
The Latitude Tour HP ZP features an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric pattern that helps balance dry, wet and wintertime traction. Stable shoulder blocks and a continuous center rib boost responsiveness and highway stability, while wide circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning and 2-D Active Sipes improve handling in rain and snow.
The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with Michelin FAZ Technology (Filament At Zero degrees) that winds polyester and aramid/nylon cords spirally under the tread area to provide a stable feel and crisp steering, while polyester cord reinforced sidewalls enhance ride quality.
Sidewall reinforcement using low hysteresis rubber provides self-supporting strength at zero pressure, helps combat sidewall damage, and maintains cool temperatures to allow longer zero pressure driving while a special bead design helps tires stay securely seated on conventional rims.
NOTE: While Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires offer all-season versatility including traction in light snow, tire sizes featuring extremely wide tread widths may limit the traction this type of tire can provide in deep snow.

...Excellent in dry and wet. Handles very good in both...
Very good tire. Excellent in dry and wet. Handles and rides very good in both. Too early to tell on treadwear. Slightly better than stock Michelin LTX's for ride and road noise. Snow traction is not great. Tire balls up in wet snow, but I rotate off in winter. Not terrible in snow, but really more of an excellent 3 season tire.

...in the worst of rain I couldn't break them even slightly loose...
The original set of Latitude Tours lasted 52,000 so when I saw these on special on Tire Rack I snagged a pair. I must say I am very pleased. These are the perfect tires for the 10-13 MDX. They are very quiet, have excellent traction in all weather and have fantastic steering response. Even in the worst of rain I couldn't break them even slightly loose. They mounted and balanced out perfectly and even with 8000+ miles I feel no balance issues which to me is a very big deal.

I live in South Louisiana and we get torrential rainstorms. These tires have performed extremely well in slick conditions...
I am about to purchase my third set of these tires for my Q5. These were the OEM tires, and I could not be more pleased. When I first bought my car, I was driving about 35,000 miles per year, all highway. Now I drive mostly in town with some highway miles, but I am a very aggressive driver!
I live in South Louisiana and we get torrential rainstorms. These tires have always performed extremely well in slick conditions. I cannot comment on icy conditions as we just don't get that down here. Dry conditions are excellent, even when I'm in "sport mode" - my Audi feels like it is stuck to the road.
I don't get much road noise from them, but I really feel that is highly dependent on how well your car is insulated for sound. In any case, I have yet to find a tire with such *outstanding* tread wear. I got more than 50k miles on my first set, and I am nearing 70,000 with this set. I've even had a screw in the center of my front tire for two weeks while I order the new set and wait for my installation appointment - and no problems, only a very, very slow leak. Time to buy new ones again, but I don't mind - I will definitely purchase again.

These tires are phenomenal in the snow with my Rav 4
These came as OE on my Toyota. I am always skeptical of "All season " tires because in upstate NY we need to run studs or snow tires to get around. These tires are phenomenal in the snow with my Rav 4

...Light to moderate snow it will plow through it with predictable slide from time to time. Have not driven it on heavy snow as of yet...
OEM for my MDX, It pairs pretty well with the SH-AWD. I am actually surprised that there is an OEM tire that works very good at everything. It is very good in DRY, WET and SNOW. Wife drove it in a blizzard and she came away impressed. Now I am not really sure if it is entirely because of the tires or just because the SH-AWD is a better system. What I know is that this tires is very quiet and comfortable. Little soft on turns but still confident. Now Winter conditions, Light to moderate snow it will plow through it with predictable slide from time to time. Have not driven it on heavy snow as of yet. Driven by my Brother in Law to NJ from Boston and he came away impressed of the Car's overall quiet and comfortable ride. Again, I cannot solely attribute it to the tires but also of the MDX's suspension. As I have said. This tire pairs pretty well with the MDX

...We routinely drive up to OH, PA, NY, and other areas with rougher winter weather. These tires have consistently performed beautifully in the worst conditions, including in snow and ice...
67k on this set and still about 1/3 tire life remaining. Replaced Pirelli Scorpions, which were OE on the X3. The Pirellis were shot at 55k.
Over the full life of the Pirelli's the X3 averaged 21-22mpg, and since putting on the Michelins the fuel economy has increased almost 10%. This is not comparing a bald Pirelli to a new Michelin, but truly over the life of the tire.
With these tires the X3 drives like it's on rails, with outstanding grip and traction in varying conditions. We routinely drive up to OH, PA, NY, and other areas with rougher winter weather. These tires have consistently performed beautifully in the worst conditions, including snow and ice.
I couldn't possibly justify looking into any other tire for the X3. My wife tells me that she's starting to feel the steering wheel pull in puddles now that they're near the end of their life, but the performance is still much better than the Pirellis they replaced.
Only gave 8 on ice and comfort because I know studded tires would do much better on ice, and regarding comfort the early years of the X3 had a pretty stiff suspension, which makes this hard to judge. Incredibly quiet though.

...The tires handled very well, low road noise, great dry traction, above average wet traction, and I would say average snow/ice traction...
This was the OEM tire that came with my 2011 Acura MDX off the lot. The tires handled very well, low road noise, great dry traction, above average wet traction, and I would say average snow/ice traction. I expected better performance. Noticeable step down in snow/ice performance from my prior vehicle, Chevy Trailblazer which had a more aggressive tire (Firestone Destination A/T) - though really not a fair comparison. The Lattitude definitely had a firm ride where you felt most cracks/bumps in the road. Overall I was pleased with the tire - 52,000 miles on an AWD vehicle is about all you can ask for, but couldn't bring myself to pay $300+/tire to replace them. I went with Toyo Versado CUV for about $160/tire. Only 2,000 miles on them but they seem very comparable and have gotten good reviews.

After the lst 1,000 miles the HPs are more responsive, quieter, and more comfortable than the original equipment Bridgestones. They also seem to stick better in the dry. To date my experience in the wet is limited here in San Diego (and no experience in ice or snow). At this point I would not hesitate to buy another set. I have no regrets.

...The ride is very comfortable and smooth sailing...
We are very happy with our purchase of these tires...the Michelin Latitude! There is no tire noise since first purchased until now, and we're looking to purchase our second set of tires. The ride is very comfortable and smooth sailing. We experienced other brands of tires, and by far, these tires are the best in terms of performance and quietness on our Lexus. We would highly recommend these tires, as they meet all of our standards and expectations in tire quality.

...what a huge difference a set of Michelin tires can make on the comfort noise and handling...
This is my second set of Michelins for this auto. Originally it came with Continentals that I barely got 20,000 miles on. what a huge difference a set of Michelin tires can make on the comfort noise and handling. michelin are a bit more money than others however when you factor in 50,000, 60,000 mile wear it's well worth it along with a good alignment in the beginning

While 95+% of my driving has been done on the highway I can't believe the mileage I have got out of these OEM tires. I'm at over 70K miles with still 4-5/32nds still remaining. I was initially looking to move to Bridgestone Dueler Ecopia 422's, but this mileage is making me think twice. Road noise has obviously increased as the wear is getting down there, but even in snowy conditions on the highway in the past month I've just been passing almost everybody. I must add my Venza Limited's AWD handling manners have been impeccable and maybe even better than my Audi A4 2.0T Quattro I had doing the same route...that's really saying something about Toyota's AWD.

If your looking for a tire with long treadwear this tire rates as one of the best I've ever had. My only complaint is once the tires had about 25000 miles on them I noticed the road noise was almost unbearable. Other than that these tires performed well and were very reliable. I'll probably replace the with the Continental Pure Contacts.

This is an update of my initial review on 10/13/08. Unlike some of the other Land Cruiser reviews on this tire, I now have driven over 42,000 miles and the tires are just over half worn. It is unclear why other Land Cruiser owners have experienced much shorter tread life. Perhaps my upgrade to 285/60VR18XL makes a difference? These are still wonderful tires!
