Primacy MXV4 tires are Michelin's Grand Touring All-Season tires developed to meet the needs of coupes and sedans, as well as family minivans and crossover utility vehicles. Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires are designed to offer a quiet, comfortable ride, long tread life, responsive handling and all-season traction, including in light snow.

Primacy MXV4 tires feature an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric design that combines notched shoulders, independent intermediate tread blocks and continuous center ribs. Michelin's Active Sipes alternately lock together and open as needed to provide increased biting edges that grip the road to provide all-season handling, especially in rain and snow.

Michelin's Advanced MaxTouch Construction results in a tuned footprint shape that allows for long-lasting, even treadwear while their Comfort Control Technology uses computer-optimized design and precision manufacturing to reduce vibrations and road noise to deliver a comfortable ride. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with Michelin's BAZ Technology (spirally wrapped polyamide, Banded At Zero degrees) to reinforce the Primacy MXV4's twin steel belts and provide high-speed durability while enhancing ride comfort.

*Specific sizes featuring Green X technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...So far, very happy with the handling both wet and dry and the steering and cornering... they handle very well in the rain...

I had these tires installed on 9/21/12. So far, very happy with the handling both wet and dry and the steering and cornering. I have been a Michelin fan and replaced the original tires on the car bought (Bridgestone... ??) with the Primacy's. I am very happy with the performance the noise is very low, as low or lower than the originals and they handle very well in the rain. That's about it, for me, I would definitely buy them again and of course recommend them.

These tires were purchased to replace the OEM Toyo's. Major reason for buying these tires was due to the reviews that state that these tires are all around great performers. These tires are great in wet conditions, it was a big difference right away and the ABS was not going off all the time compared to the OEM tires. They are very predictable and definitely a step up compared to the OEM tires in terms of traction. They are also very comfortable, which is very noticeable in a Mazda3 that really does not have much insulation from the outside world. They are good in snow; however as any all season tire if the snow is deep enough they will lose traction. They are on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for and with these tires you definitely get your money's worth.

...Holds like winter tire on ice and snow ( very close performance to the Michelin X-ICE 3 that a have on my other vehicle)...

Just bought this tire last week, put about 500 miles on it. I am amazed, this is best tire I've ever had.
Holds like winter tire on ice and snow( very close performance to the Michelin X-ICE 3 that a have on my other vehicle), very quiet and comfortable ride, very well balanced, pretty good handling.
Lets hope that tread-wear will be as good as all the other characteristics of this tire.

The Michelin Primacy MXV4 are the best tires I have ever owned. At 31,000 they are
finally giving up tread. These are also the best gripping tires I have ever owned. Through Chicago winters, rain, instant stops, and sharp avoidance turns, they have exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

...These tires have good control. On this car, if you dive into a curve or rapidly maneuver, there is no squeal, they just bite and go faster smoothly!...

This tire was recommended by the Tire Rack and Michelin sites for this vehicle, a 1999 MB CL500 coupe with 110,000 miles in exceptional condition, incl suspension.
Tires are 100 H series (135mph max).

I have owned many brands (eight by count) and buy Michelin's, due to the consistent performance, durability and quality. Car has the M119 high performance engine (4 valves/cyl, DOHC), and is surprisingly fast when requested, with a 156mph top speed capability, so will sprint or run fast to pass, etc., as desired.

Tires Performance: I drive from 55 to as high as 110mph (shh), but usually 70-85 in a daily commute, under various mid-western weather conditions: dry, wet, ice, snow.
In long drives on freeway, I may run up to 90-95 to get around trucks and avoid being blocked in. I have driven for 50 years with long commutes, no accidents, and esp. with today's erratic drivers, avoiding the other cars is paramount; note that this includes being completely run off the road, more than once on two lane highways, including by a semi-truck, plus I have observed fatalities. So good evasiveness and stability at all speeds is important to me.

These tires have good control. On this car, if you dive into a curve or rapidly maneuver, there is no squeal, they just bite and go faster smoothly!
Adverse Conditions: I recently drove straight into a 50-60mph wind/rain storm with tornado warnings (no, not aware then) running at 55-60 side roads and 70-75mph freeway. So equivalent to 110-130mph cruising. Car & tires were very stable, no hydroplaning and very controllable.

Noise: In steady state freeway running, they are very smooth and quiet The tire's quietness contributes to this being the quietest car I have every owned, at all speeds, and all road types. This is per my sound meter, and double paned side windows and very good aerodynamics helps.

This MB CL500 is a high performance grand touring car, and I rate these tires a "10" for what I ask them to do.

...Well this tire exceeded everything I wanted... If you are looking for good gas mileage and compfort etc. these tires will meet all your expectations but if you are looking for a real handling tire for cornering than I would sudjest you look at the Exalto's...

I purchased these tires after trying out the Michelin Exalto's, which is a good tire but not for my kind of driving and for what i need it for. I wanted something for all around tire dry, wet, compfort, and low noise. Well this tire exceeded everything I wanted. What really impressed me was in the rain coming from a stopped position that there was no tire spin and on the highway I felt i was driving on dry road. I had Toyo Versado LX and these tires I have now don't even compare. But I must say that the Michellin Primacy's are a Grand Touring Tire not a High Perfromance tire even though they have a H rating. If you are looking for good gas mileage and compfort etc. these tires will meet all your expectations but if you are looking for a real handling tire for cornering than I would sudjest you look at the Exalto's. I am glad I put these on my car and would buy again, better than the OEM'S the car came with.

...Noise is nonexistant and the comfort level at over 60,000 miles is still first class.

I don't suppose anything is really perfect, but this Michelin tire is close enough to award it a 10. Quite simply, it responds to every situation a driver might ever face, even in severe winter driving. Noise is nonexistant and the comfort level at over 60,000 miles is still first class. I've never owned another tire and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one to anybody. It's that good.

Amazing tire for a 2010 Toyota Camry XLE. Replaced the stock Energy Michelin's MXV4 S8 with the Primacy MXV4 H speed rated tires. They ride fantastic, are extremely quiet and make the vehicle feel like a luxury car. I doubt you will find a better tire for a 2010 Camry. Highly recommended.

...QUIET! Wow...huge difference from the Goodyears. From day one the old tires were loud, which over time became monotonous. New tires are a nice change...

OK....just purchased a set of these tires, replacing a set of Goodyear tripletreads. First impressions as I have only had them a week:

QUIET! Wow.....huge difference from the Goodyears. From day one the old tires were loud, which over time became monotonous. New tires are a nice change.

Responsiveness.....not so much. Most of my cars are shod with performance rubber. This is my first venture intot he land of "luxury touring". While not a deal breaker, these tires are soft.....you can feel the sidewalls squishing on sterring/cornering input. Cant feel the road through them either....as I describe it, like driving on marshmallows.

Fuel Economy.....on my instant average display, these are getting 3-4 higher MPG than the Goodyears. Nice. This wil save some serious scratch if it holds up over the life of the tires. Thats a 10% bump in mileage!

More to come in time, but overall....so far the tradeoff for my typical 60mile each wau highway commute is worth it. Im getting old as the quiet is actually more appealing on this daily drive than the performance handling.

I purchased the Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires in January '08 and currently have 72,700 miles on them... I will get at least 80,000 miles on my current set. Tread wear is very even...

I drive in the Chicago area on combined highway, city and suburban roads. Concider myself an average driver with the occasional need to have some fun. I purchased the Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires in January '08 and currently have 72,700 miles on them. I aquired the car "used" with 30,000 miles on it. It came with the Primacy MXV4 tires and I replace those at about 75,000 miles. I will get at least 80,000 miles on my current set. They have seen many pot holes and hard road bumps but they continue to perform well. I have been very happy with these tires as they are quiet (hate road noise) and provide a smoothe ride. Traction is great in dry, wet and, most any snow if you use your head. In snowy conditions slower starts and when stopping, I sometimes down shift a gear so the engine helps me slow down. These tires have performed very well in all conditions!

Tread wear is very even. I do notice a bit more wear about 1" in from the outside shoulder right at the first deep tread cut that circles the tires. I feel there is still good tread left as I am not down to the wear marks yet and my traction feels very good. Air is kept at 32psi all around. tires rotated about every 7,000 miles (give or take)as I think of it.

The reason I am even rating these tires is that I am looking for tires for my daughters 2002 Camry. Just had to see what was out there. And, after reading all these helpful reviews, decided to put my 2 cents worth in since I have high milage on my tires. I hope it helped.

I will buy these again and again.

I drive about 130 miles daily, almost all highway. This tire has made my commute vastly more enjoyable...quiet, good traction even in light snow, and excellent wear. The best part is that, at nearly 70,000 miles, it still has pretty good rain traction and is still very quiet. I am close to the wear bars, so will be replacing them by the end of the month with the same tire. If you are a high performance driver (as I used to be), you will be disappointed, as they are not as tight as a performance tire. But for my current driving style, the tradeoff is definitely worth it.
