Michelin's Classic tires are designed for vintage automobiles. Using modern materials and manufactured to original specifications, these tires are manufactured in small batches and designed to preserve the vehicle's driving character and provide period-correct aesthetics.

The TRX GT-B is Michelin's Ultra High Performance Summer tire designed for the timeless sports cars of the 70s and 80s. Originally designed as the exclusive fitment for BMW 635 Csi, its focused design prioritized precise handling and the kind of quiet ride owners expect from a luxury vehicle. The TRX GT-B brings classic driving performance and traction to warm, dry and wet conditions.

New compounding techniques augment the TRX GT-B's storied low-void symmetric tread pattern. The design features three notched continuous ribs in constant contact with the road for a stable, quiet experience, delivering the strong longitudinal traction needed for acceleration and braking. The angled lateral channels in the TRX GT-B's shoulders work with four circumferential grooves to move water out of the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance in the wet.

The TRX GT-B's internal construction consists of a two-ply polyester cord casing and lightweight, high tensile strength steel belt wire for strong, light construction, while a polyamide reinforcement ply augments high-speed capability. The TRX GT-B's internal construction consists of a two-ply polyester cord casing and lightweight, high tensile strength steel belt wire for strong, light construction, while a polyamide reinforcement ply augments high-speed capability. TRX tires and wheels were developed together in order to meet the demands of their original equipment fitments and eliminate the uneven distribution of tension resulting from a traditional wheel and tire assembly. This achieves both superior ride comfort (typically resulting from high, flexible sidewalls) and precise handling (normally found in low, rigid sidewalls).

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20° Fahrenheit (-7° Celsius) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40° Fahrenheit (5° Celsius) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Michelin's warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking due to use in ambient temperatures below 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius) because it occurs as a result of improper use or storage. Tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.
