Most customers rate wet traction as excellent, with scores of 9-10 highlighting confident grip and hydroplaning resistance. A few 7s suggest minor variability, but performance remains strong in winter conditions.

...They're also very good in wet...
Living in the steep hills of Vermont, we get to test lots of winter tires in ice, snow, rain, cold and dry, etc. on steep windy roads in various conditions. These are not super sporty tires in the dry such an H or V rated snow tire, but they're competent and grippy enough. They're also very good in wet. But in packed snow and ice, they are the best tires I've tried in 40 years of driving this stuff! The tur- in response is truly excellent, allowing me to generate mild oversteer even with AWD with a slight lift off throttle. They are stable and predictable in snow and ice, and when they do slide, it's easy to stay in control and guide the slide, allowing big confidence. They brake, accelerate and turn better in nice and packed snow than anything else I've tried. For a sportier car, I use H rated snows, but you give up a little grip in ice and snow. If you don't need a highly responsive tire in the dry for spirited driving, you can't go wrong with this tire. Would definitely buy again and again.

We drove on this tire in about all conditions: ice, light snow, deeper snow, dry, wet, hot in summer, city and highway. Excellent in all conditions, would definitely buy it again for this BMW X5. For ice and equivalent extremely slippery surfaces and for deep snow, I think the Bridgestone DM-V2 is still better...

For ice and equivalent extremely slippery surfaces and for deep snow, I think the Bridgestone DM-V2 is still better. For everything else, the Michelin is as good or better.

...My car tracks better than some of the decked-out SUV's and trucks maximized with snow configurations for the snowy region where we live. Great, and very sophisticated, new-age winter radial.
Just turned 10K on these Michelins - great snow tire. I live in the Rocky Mountains and run 4 of these in the set up I drive every day. My car tracks better than some of the decked-out SUV's and trucks maximized with snow configurations for the snowy region where we live. Great, and very sophisticated, new-age winter radial.

...Very quiet on the highway and the tread-wear for a soft tire has been very good...
These are literally the best tires I’ve ever owned. Amazing in snow and rain. Very quiet on the highway and the tread-wear for a soft tire has been very good. Highly recommend this tire especially for larger SUV’s.
