The Nomad Grappler is Nitto's On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for drivers of CUVs, SUVs, Jeeps, and pickup trucks seeking a versatile, stylish and comfortable on-road tire, also capable of light off-road duty. Engineered for traction in dry, wet, and loose surface conditions, the Nomad Grappler also provides light snow traction sufficient to earn the tire industry's severe snow service certification and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
The Nomad Grappler's all-season compound is molded into a symmetric tread pattern and a broad contact patch featuring interlocking tread blocks with tapered edges for additional bite and effective dry grip. Variable pitch tread blocks of slightly different sizes reduce road noise for enhanced on-road comfort. Two wide, staggered circumferential grooves efficiently evacuate water to lateral notches for hydroplaning resistance in wet weather. Triangular sipes within the tread blocks generate traction on wet and icy roads and assist light snow traction.
Internal Construction of the Nomad Grappler consists of a two-ply polyester casing engineered to provide comfort and reliability. Twin steel belts are wrapped with a single, nylon reinforcement ply for durability and high-speed capability.
As with all Grappler tires, each tire features two unique sidewall designs. One side resembles a mountain range, while the other is designed after a carabiner.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Excellent wet, ice, and snow handling, never got stuck or encountered any difficulties during the past winter...
The Nitto Nomad Grapplers matches very well with Honda’s i-VTM4 AWD system. These AT tires were specifically chosen for their light weight to aid with unsprung weight. I would consider the tires to be mild or not as aggressive compared to other AT tires which is not a bad thing since comfort was a priority when choosing tires for the vehicle. I don’t have a decibel meter to measure the difference in noise; very negligible in my experience, but tire noise is subjective so my observation will not be the same as others. Excellent wet, ice, and snow handling, never got stuck or encountered any difficulties during the past winter. Tires were priced appropriately and made in the USA is a plus. Will buy again when the time comes.

After 10k miles the tires became louder but still manageable. Handled all seasons well. Wear was on par with all season tires while winter traction was on par with dedicated snow tires. Ice and snow was handled with confidence.

I live in Alaska wheee the snow and ice are plentiful. I felt extremely safe with these on my car during our 8 months of winter! They handle deep snow super well!...
I love a Nitto tire. I love them on my midsize SUV. I live in Alaska wheee the snow and ice are plentiful. I felt extremely safe with these on my car during our 8 months of winter! They handle deep snow super well! Only thing I don’t love is I went from 430miles per tank to about 325….thats quite a difference! But safety is a hard thing to give up for better fuel mileage.

...Very impressed with the ride quality and lack of road noise...
Bought these tires for a lifted Jeep Wrangler mostly on road. My number one concern was noise so I read reviews and purchased these based on that. Very impressed with the ride quality and lack of road noise. Plan on purchasing another set for my lifted Nissan Frontier.

High performance tire for an SUV if off road and snow capability is important. Tread on sidewall looks good and protects tires when off road or scuffing a curb. Tread wear is exceptional for all terrain design. This is the second set, first set came close to 100k miles. You get what you pay for with these tires.
