The Advantage Control is BFGoodrich's Grand Touring All-Season tire for drivers of coupes, sedans, crossovers and SUVs looking confident control along with a comfortable ride, long tread life and capable all-season traction, even in light snow.
The Advantage Control features an advanced, silica-rich, all-season tread compound molded into a touring-focused, symmetric tread design. The carefully engineered pattern architecture is designed to lower tread noise for a quiet and comfortable ride. A computer-optimized footprint manages contact patch forces, promoting longer and more consistent tread wear. Next Generation g-Wedge Sidewall Stabilizers reinforce the sidewall to retain crisp handling and responsive steering inputs. Wide, circumferential grooves combine with generous lateral notches that feature Aqua-Flume Technology, leveraging a curvilinear groove network to accelerate and disperse water from the contact patch, helping improve hydroplaning resistance and wet weather stability. Active Sipe Technology and full depth tread features are built into the tread blocks for consistent wet and wintry weather performance throughout the tire's life.
The internal construction of the Advantage Control consists of two-ply polyester casing focused on providing durability and comfort. Twin, robust steel belts support the tread package and combine with a single nylon reinforcement for reliability and high-speed capabilities.

User feedback reveals the Nokian Encompass AW01 delivers a smooth and quiet ride, with many praising its comfort (8-10 scores). Treadwear receives strong marks for longevity in its category, though a few note faster wear than expected. Winter traction earns consistent praise for snow performance (8-10), while ice grip shows more variability (4-10). Wet traction is highlighted for reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance (7-10), complementing its confident dry handling (7-10). As a Grand Touring All-Season tire, it balances year-round capability with comfort, though a minority mention treadlife inconsistencies. Overall satisfaction leans positive, aligning with its intended all-season versatility.

...Wet traction and hydroplane resistance is exceptional. 70 mph on freeway with standing 1/2 inch water in a downpour was solid. You could tell you were driving thru water but car was planted with out movement or much rolling resistance...
So first off the size difference looks amazing! I had to certify responsibility for the 225/60 not being testing to fit my car. Measurements and math does not lie. Tires fit fills the wheel well. No longer does it looks like a car wearing toy tires! Traction evaluation of dry smooth and bumpy blacktop and concrete, Michigan roads, is predictable and better than the Goodyear Assurance stock equipment ever was. Wet traction and hydroplane resistance is exceptional. 70 mph on freeway with standing 1/2 inch water in a downpour was solid. You could tell you were driving thru water but car was planted with out movement or much rolling resistance. Steering response is greatly improved with these tires over stock. The diesel sedan maneuvers better now. The size has changed the manual trans shifting points slightly. 1st gear is no longer so tall that you have to immediately shift to 2nd like it was. However you will need to re-learn the feel of which gear you want to be in. I will update review once winter arrives here in Michigan. I will also update the fuel mileage changes observed. Currently I get a combined 48 mpg with mixed city / highway commute. 12 ish minutes surface roads, 15-20 minutes freeway, followed by a few minutes surface roads. All freeway I typically see 60 mpg. I have just over 50,000 miles on this diesel Cruze manual and the mpg has been consistent from day one.

...Because it really never rains here when it does there can be quite a bit of built up oil on the roads which can make them slick when wet. These tires grab the road in those conditions and give you a real sense of security while driving...
I purchased these tires after doing a bit of research for my Mazda CX5 GT which came with Toyos. I immediately noticed the difference in ride quality, quiet and performance. Im in Los Angeles so winter conditions don't exist unless we go up to the mountains. I was looking for something that was quiet and smooth first and foremost and that handled well in dry and wet conditions. Because it really never rains here when it does there can be quite a bit of built up oil on the roads which can make them slick when wet. These tires grab the road in those conditions and give you a real sense of security while driving. They also respond well to cornering and hold the road well when pushed. I do a lot of inner city and freeway driving. I like the windows down and the sunroof open and I cant stand hearing tire noise when I am driving. These tires run quiet and seem to absorb the road noise whether the windows are up or down. Even my kids who tend to sit in the back mentioned that the ride is really nice and quiet and smooth. Lets face it sitting in the back seat above wheel wells in a car with noisy tires is awful!
When you think about it the purchase of a really good set of tires can make or break your driving experience. They can make an average car better and an above average car worse. In this case it's taken my Mazda CX5 which I already loved and brought the driving experience to another level making the Crossover even more enjoyable to drive. I highly recommend.

Nice quiet tire. Nice ride/comfort. Excellent on wet pavement. Exceptional on dry pavement. I bought these tires to replace the worn out Continental Pro Contact tires that were original equipment. Those worked well, but did not last as long as I would have liked, all of 30k non winter miles. I did not buy these tires for all season use. I have studded snow tires for winter use here in Maine, which account for about 5 months or more every year. I currently have put about 2,000 miles on these tires and am totally satisfied with their wear and performance thus far.

...With in snow (1-3in), there's some sliding but it's controllable. I've never gotten stuck but I had a close call when I had to stop in a 5in drift on an uphill ramp...
Bought these to replace dealership tires. First pair 35,000mi ago and the second pair 30,000mi ago. Mine are H-rated but otherwise the same (Pirelli Cinturato P7 all-season plus). Very satisfied. They do the job within reason. No complaints whatsoever in dry weather. In wet weather, I've never hydroplaned. Sometimes my front tires spin when I start from a stop, but I think that has more to do with my car's aggressive gearing. With snow on the road (1-3in), there's some sliding but it's controllable. I've never gotten stuck but I had a close call when I had to stop in a 5in drift on an uphill ramp. The tires were fairly new at the time. Keep in mind that my car is FWD and 2900lbs. As for ice, I've never driven on it, so you'll have to check another review. As for comfort, I don't hear the tires making contact. Potholes are jarring, but that's mostly due to my car's suspension.

...Pirelli Cinturato tires are quiet, grippy, great in the snow, and reasonably priced...
Buying tires is almost impossible anymore. All the tire makers claim to have the best tires on the market. I’ve owned them all Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Vogue, Cooper, Continental. Pirelli Cinturato tires are quiet, grippy, great in the snow, and reasonably priced. And how can you trust any of the reviews from people ? BTW no tires are good on ice......IMHO.....Pirelli, give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.....

I know I drive a low powered outback, but the only time I have spun the tires was in snow that almost bottomed out my vehicle. They handle great...
I drove these in Vegas-type desert weather. I purchased these as a change from Michelin Defenders because of the dry handling rating (personally accurate) and the ride comfort (personally accurate) and primarily noise levels (personally not accurate) rating. I partially agree with the ratings I see for these tires on tirerack.com, HOWEVER personally as speed increases the noise increases. These were supposed to be the quietest tires I could put on my vehicle, and for about the first 1000 miles it was 100% accurate. They were as quiet as I would have expected. Then at one point, I noticed a tire noise while getting off the highway on very new pavement. This progressed...now it gets louder with increasing speed no matter the age of the pavement. 0 mph, fine, quiet as can be. 70 mph, only the wind noise can drown out the noise, and just barely. I wish I were lying. I looked at so many tire rack and YouTube reviews on these tires before getting them. I wish I had the other reviewer experiences, but I can tell you that these are the loudest tires I have had on a car, and I drove an old 2001 Toyota Sienna on Cooper winter tires (don't remember the tire model) in the summer. These are louder than the winter tires on smoother roads. I told my cousin that I got pirellis and he experienced the same thing. He said, "pirellis are great for sporty drivers and that's it." He is correct, they handle great. I know I drive a low powered outback, but the only time I have spun the tires was in snow that almost bottomed out my vehicle. They handle great. I was honestly surprised at the review of the other outback on the review list for these tires. ANYWAY... many clearly recommend these tires, I do not. Take it with a grain of salt...sorry Pirelli, your tires will give me the tire equivalent of teen angst for however long they last (and I hope they don't).

...Traction on dry surfaces and responsiveness are excellent...
Put these tires on my 05 Camry XLE. They replaced a set of Michelin Premier A/S, only received 36,000 on the Michelins in three years. My style of driving leans towards aggressive. These tires are comfortable and quiet, quieter than the Michelins. Traction on dry surfaces and responsiveness are excellent. I have found no problems driving on wet or rain soaked surfaces. We only had some light snow this year, but traction was as good as Michelins, if not better. If these Pirelli's give me better tread-ware than the Michelin's I'll be happy. I like to see at least 50,000 or five years from these tires. So far I'd highly recommend this tire!! First time purchase of Pirelli's for my car.

After the OE set of Continentals and a set of Continentals Pure Contact with Eco Plus Tech I tried these Pirelli P7 plus 2. The first impression is the quietness and the reduced impact harshness. These are better tires for a smoother more comfortable ride. The Continentals had sharper steering. Over all they feel less sharp but more refined. The bumps just feel less harsh and the quietness level is noticeably reduced causing less fatigue. I drive on average 200 miles per day. This is what I was looking for in a comfortable street/summer tire and I got just that. I'll check in again after the summer is over.

Love these tires. Put them on my Grand Marquis. Ride is a little more sporty than the Michelins I replaced, but the traction is great, handling is much better and they have stayed in balance, which so many tires have problems with now. Treadwear is good. I'd buy these again in a second.

This is the second set of Cinturato P7 tires that I have mounted on my Mazda3 Hatchback and I will likely go for the third. They deliver solid traction around turns and when facing inclement weather (wind, rain, snow, ice). Also the treadwear is cost effective; I rode the first set for over 80,000 miles before my service department recommended I switch them out.
