The Assurance featuring Fuel Max Technology is Goodyear's mid-tier Passenger All-Season tire designed for the drivers of cars, coupes, vans and crossover vehicles looking for affordably priced tires offering long wear, wet traction and low rolling resistance as some of their top priorities. The Assurance Fuel Max is designed to provide year-round confidence in wet, dry and wintry weather conditions, including in light snow, as well as offers lower rolling resistance to enhance vehicle fuel economy over the tire's lifetime.

The Assurance Fuel Max molds a low rolling resistance all-season compound into a tread design featuring distinct zones. Inboard and outboard Dry Tread Zones feature strong shoulder blocks to enhance handling in dry conditions, while a central Wet Tread Zone features Dual Aquachannel grooves that evacuate water to promote traction in wet weather. A virtually continuous notched center rib combined with circumferential shoulder grooves blend dry road stability and even treadwear with traction in snowy conditions. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts (H-speed rated sizes are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon belt edge strips) on top of a polyester casing that enhances ride quality.

*Specific sizes featuring Fuel Max Technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Customers Say

Customer surveys indicate the Pirelli P Zero All Season delivers excellent dry traction and confident wet performance, with scores frequently in the 8-10 range. Winter traction shows mixed results, with many praising light snow capability but noting reduced confidence on ice. Ride comfort receives consistent praise for smoothness and low noise, aligning with its ultra-high-performance all-season design. However, treadwear feedback varies widely-while some report strong longevity, others mention rapid wear, suggesting driving style or conditions may impact tread life. Overall, it satisfies drivers seeking responsive handling in dry and wet conditions, though those prioritizing harsh winter performance may want to consider dedicated winter tires.

...They provide excellent traction in rain & dry weather conditions and noise level is non existent...

Pirelli PZERO All-Season Seal-Inside BSW size 245/50R20 are the standard 2022 Chrysler Pacifica AWD (all trims) OEM tires for 20” x 7.5” Wheels as well as 18” x 7.5” wheels. That’s the main reason I spend the extra money to purchase them for my new Pacifica AWD minivan.
I have found them to have great traction in all weather conditions except severe ice and high snow but then no tires I’ve ever used in those conditions are any better. They provide excellent traction in rain & dry weather conditions and noise level is non existent. Only thing to complain about is the 25,000 - 30,000 mile tread life. They get a bad rap with most reviewers because of the low tread life but mostly because they’re really expensive, ultra high performance self-sealing OEM tires. I will continue to buy them and don’t mind the 25,000 - 30,000 mile tread life or their high price because they provide an excellent ride on my Pacifica.

Bought these tires to replace a set of Falken CT60 tires. The Pirellis feel much more stable on the road. The wet and dry traction is impressive. We've been caught in some torrential downpours on the interstate and they showed no signs of hydroplaning. So far, they're a 10/10 for me.

These Pirelli P-Zero All Seasons came on my 2023 BMW X1 xDrive28i(all wheel drive). The were extremely quiet and comfortable. I encountered extremely heavy rain at 70mph on the interstate. They handled very well on the wet interstate and steering response was great. I detected no aquaplaning or drifting. I know it's wrong to judge tires based on their looks, but it's been a while since I've seen nice-looking sidewalls on all-season tires. :)

...They have served me well in snow and ice and hold great in the summer on backroad adventures... Three years and almost 28k miles and the tires are no where near the wear indicators. They have served me well in snow and ice and hold great in the summer on backroad adventures. My curiosity wants to try another tire when it comes time to replace but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. Not sure why some rate these so low for winter traction, I made it home from a 25 mile commute in 10"+ wet snow when 3/4 of the city ended up stuck and abandoning their vehicles. Drove in an ice storm the year before without issue. In heavy rain the car goes straight through deep puddles. They hold line well with spirited driving in the dry/wet in summer. I estimate I can get another 10-15K out of these tires no problem.

Great tires so far. Replace Yokohama Sport AS 245/50/18 after 50K (good tires no doubt) but I feel that Pirelli PZero 245/50/18 much better tires for Lexus LS 460 all around. Will see how long tires last but riding is most luxurious , plush, quite and responsive compare previously KumHo Solus and Yokohama Sport AS. Pirelli ProMotion special price was unbeatable for this deal.

Eco-Focused All-Season Tires: Do They Deliver on the Promise? - Winter Update (01:54)

Many passenger and touring all-season tires with an emphasis on low rolling resistance offer very good fuel economy. But the question is, how well do they perform in everyday conditions? Especially in the snow and on the ice. We found out in Sweden when we did some winter testing on these tires.

Eco-Friendly All-Season Tires - How Does Performance Measure Up? (03:56)

Eco-focused tires were initially made in sizes for drivers of hybrid and ultra-efficient vehicles. Today, a growing number are available in a wider variety of sizes in an effort to gain widespread use on more vehicles.

Our tests results show what impact these tires have on fuel economy and how they perform in everyday conditions.

When Round and Black Becomes Lean and Green (04:18)

Can eco-friendly, low rolling resistance tires make a difference in fuel economy, driving costs and the environment?

Tire Rack arranged to get a small fleet of the 2009 2nd generation Toyota Prius hybrids to test low rolling resistance tires. The Goodyear Integrity O.E. tire was the baseline we compared to other tire choices for the Prius. Tires tested included eco-friendly aftermarket tires for hybrid and fuel-efficient compact cars as well as the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred which prioritizes ride comfort and long wear over fuel efficiency.
