Michelin's Classic tires are designed for classic automobiles. Using modern materials and manufactured to original specifications, these tires are manufactured in small batches and designed to preserve the vehicle's driving character and provide period-correct aesthetics.

The X is Michelin's Grand Touring Summer tire built to fulfill the needs of vintage vehicle owners looking to keep the feel, performance and style of their car without compromising its original look and specifications. Michelin engineers developed the radial tire and was originally marketed as the "Michelin Radial X" in 1949. The X was designed to deliver traction in warm, dry and wet conditions.

Offering a number of advantages over traditional tires at the time - the X's vintage tread pattern retains the spirit of its traditional design, while updating the compound for reliable on-road use. The center rib design ensures that drivers can experience the solid on-center feeling and handling response they expect. The lateral grooves on either side feed into the outboard shoulder channels for efficient water evacuation, and combined with the wavy siping in those same tread blocks, maintain grip when the roads are wet.

Internal construction of the X utilizes a polyester casing supporting two steel belts for comfort and consistency; taking advantage of compound advancements while maintaining a build that holds true to the original feel and characteristics of the original tire it replaces, thanks to revolutionary design of the radial tire.

Pirelli Reviews

Customer ratings showcase the Pirelli P Zero Rosso's excellent dry traction (9-10 scores) and very good wet performance in its intended summer use, with most scores in the 7-8 range though some note reduced grip in heavy rain. Comfort receives praise for a smooth, quiet ride, though a few find it stiff. Treadwear is a notable concern, with many scores in the 3-5 range indicating premature wear. Overall, drivers appreciate its confident dry handling and summer-focused capabilities, but those prioritizing longevity may find tread life disappointing.

...I owned a set of regular P-Zero's before, but the Rosso's are much better in the wet.

If you are going to have a dedicated set of Winter tires, this is the way to go for your "Summer Fun". I owned a set of regular P-Zero's before, but the Rosso's are much better in the wet. The tread is also a lot softer then the regular P-Zero's, so you get a much less harsh ride.

...The PZero Rossos are by far the most refined of all of these tires, and their performance in the wet Pacific NW has been exceptional...

Same tire size as on our Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon. Have now run Michelin MXMs, PZero Yellows, Bridgestone RE730s, and *Dunlop SP Sport 8000s in this size on one or both cars (should buy stock in TireRack). The PZero Rossos are by far the most refined of all of these tires, and their performace in the wet Pacific NW has been exceptional. Buy these tires if you wish to have a smooth, comfortable ride to go with your max performance. Still toying with the idea of trying the S-03s when these wear out, but in all honesty these are very close to ideal for a 4-dr sport sedan. *Dunlops were 205/55ZR-15 (great price, but rubbed front springs on big bumps).

...These are made for driving hard. Champions when it comes to dry traction and cornering...

When buying this performance tire, you know youll only get 12-13k miles out of it, so thats how I rated it. Forget snow traction and hydroplaning resistance in a heavy rain. These are made for driving hard. Champions when it comes to dry traction and cornering. Had to give it a 5 for ride comfort and the same for treadwear simply because you must have known what youre getting into when you buy this rubber. Im putting a new set on after 13k miles and 3.5 years with the vehicle.

...When nice and sunny out, these tires are amazing, but when cold, you had better forget it...

My WS6 has 460rwhp and 442rw-tq. Regardless of that fact, these tires are close to bald at 5000 miles. When nice and sunny out, these tires are amazing, but when cold, you had better forget it. Wet traction is satisfactory. I have these all the way around in 265/35/18 up front and 295/30/19 in the rear. I assumed that for the price, these would last me a good while. Wrong. I didn't look up the treadwear rating before purchase. If you HAVE the money to buy new ones every 7,000-10,000 miles, I would HIGHLY recommend these. But at almost $2000 for all 4, I may be looking at something else.

...Very comfortable and quiet tyre, good for a daily driver with a bit of spirited driving on weekends...

Not a cheap tyre, and it does wear faster than some but the predicability of this tyre when driven close to the limit is impressive. It doesn't just "let go" like some other tyres I've driven on, it makes you very aware when it approachs it's limits.

Good wet weather tyre until the last 10-15% of tyre life when it drops off quickly (most tyres would anyway).

Very comfortable and quiet tyre, good for a daily driver witha bit of spirited driving on weekends.

Have taken them to the track and they handled it without any problems, not as much grip as a dedicated track tyre but still very good.

...Ride comfort is probably an oxymoron with this suspension and tire setup but precision control is what I`m after and ride harshness is of no consequence to me. And I drive the car daily. Road noise is also a nonissue for me but isn't bad in my opinion nonetheless...

I drive a 2001 Porsche Boxster S with the European M030 sport suspension (purchased as parts and installed by Porsche specialist since it was not available as a factory installed option on a USA car). I love the N4 PZero Rosso Asimmetricos far more than the OEM PZero Asimmetricos that came from the factory. The grip is better, the tires are more communicative, the lateral grip is astounding and the traction is phenomenal. Ride comfort is probably an oxymoron with this suspension and tire setup but precision control is what I`m after and ride harshness is of no consequence to me. And I drive the car daily.

Road noise is also a nonissue for me but isn`t bad in my opinion nonetheless. Tire wear is rapid; I am on my fifth set of tires at 37,000 miles and yes, the alignment is checked regularly. I am more than willing to trade longevity for the performance these tires provide and besides, it is alwasy a thrill to install a new set of tires, break them in and then have some serious fun! I intend to keep buying PZero Rosso Asimmetricos for my car for the foreseeable future and will likely install them on subsequent sports cars. I highly recommend these tires.

I have had these tires on my 06 Cobalt SS/SC for a little over 11,500 miles. They are great all around(even snow). My only complaint is the horrible treadwear. I procrastinated on getting my tires rotated and now it is to late...not enough tread left to legally rotate. Long story short Ill now have to spend close to $600 for TWO tires. There are cheaper options out there but who wants two differant kinds of tires on their car. I wouldnt recomened them for anyone who dosent want to do alot of tire maintenance.

Only had these tires for 2 months and not even 3000 miles later the Rear tires are Howling like crazy. I have Full Exhaust Headers, Cat Pipes & Tubi Mufflers and i can hear the Tires insted. They have become very loud now which is really annoying. I am Suprized to how much tread wear has occured in 3000 miles. Will definatly not buy agian, stay away. Will follow up later in the Summer.
