The P7 AS Plus 3 is Pirelli's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for the drivers of sedans, coupes, CUVs and small SUVs looking for confident comfort, with luxurious ride and noise attributes combined with good traction and control in dry and wet conditions. Engineered to suit the North American market, the P7 AS Plus 3 also focuses on durability and tread wear, along with enhanced winter performance with year-round grip, even in light snow.

Pirelli's P7 AS Plus 3 Callouts

The innovative tread compound utilizes a functionalized polymer and is molded into an asymmetric pattern designed to provide grip in all road conditions. Larger, outboard shoulder blocks improve steering response and dry cornering grip, along with a balanced distribution of grooves and sipes that limit void space in the pattern for more contact surface with the road. Deep sipes and zig-zag central sipes create biting edges for wet and slippery conditions, while generous circumferential grooves help increase hydroplaning resistance.

Pirelli's P7 AS Plus 3 Callouts

The full-depth features generate traction throughout the tire's life and combine with an optimized footprint that helps wintry weather performance while improving tread wear characteristics.

Internal construction of the P7 AS Plus 3 consists of a single-ply polyester casing engineered to provide durability along with a comfortable, controlled ride. Twin, robust steel belts and a polyimide reinforcement ply help support the tread and casing and improve handling and high-speed stability.

...The second thing was Wet Traction, the Pirellis were well above the Goodyear's in wet traction as well...

these Pirellis Scorpion's replaced the Factory Goodyear's and the first thing I noticed and hoped for was the road noise. The road noise was cut in half!
The second thing was Wet Traction, the Pirellis were well above the Goodyear's in wet traction as well. we have had two light snow falls since I had these installed and they are slightly better in the snow as well. I do feel a very slight loss of road feel. the tires are softer but I am ok with that. No regrets getting the Pirelli's

I finally got to drive in the snow and on ice , this is the finest tire I have ever had, Dry or wet it cant be beat. I will definitely be buying them again. They are very quiet at any speed, and a very soft ride.

...I am very pleased with these tires, I drive daily in Toronto and off road on weekends, so far they are amazing, very quite on the road, amazing traction in Canadian snow, rain, and dry pavement...

As most reviews on this site I was also hesitant to purchase these tires because there's not much info on them... However, I did buy through Costco and got a $80 cash card... I am very pleased with these tires, I drive daily in Toronto and off road on weekends, so far they are amazing, very quite on the road, amazing traction in Canadian snow, rain, and dry pavement. I was debating the KO2 and was convinced they were a good fit until I read more about Pirelli Scorpion, KO2 are heavier and loud (apparently) and my 2014 FJ cruiser is already "Thirsty" so I wanted a tire that's aggressive looking, great in snow, wet pavement and quite but good on gas. I recommend these tires for sure, however, I don't know how they will be in year so until then I would say definitely consider these tires if you want an all terrain that's ideal in all conditions.

...The grip in deep snow, 6+ inches unplowed over a mountain pass in CO, is unbelievable!...

Switched to a set of these after trying out the Geolander GO15 A/T tires. I was very pleased with those, but wanted a change. These are a more aggressive looking tire. The grip in deep snow, 6+ inches unplowed over a mountain pass in CO, is unbelievable! Very stable on dirt roads with this tire and the Outback's AWD. Seems to be wearing fine. Only 7000 miles in and towed a camper for a couple thousand of those miles. They still look like new.

The only negative is noise. Initially there was no noticeable noice on the roadway, but that changed after they were broken in. At around 45-50mph there is that unmistakable deafening (to me) hum. That said, I would still recommend these tires.

...Road noise is not noticeable and I have nothing to report on treadwear but I can say on my vehical traction was great while driving in anything from a trace of snow to a foot of snow. Ice traction was good but this is not a winter tire and it is ice but I have yet to feel out control while driving on these tires. Stopping and going is about as good as I could ask for and cornering in bad winter conditions is good with minimal sliding and no real loss of control...

I needed new tires last fall and living in central wisconsin means traction is crucial come winter. I decided to opt for these AT tires for my 2016 outback. Couldnt be happier with the tires. Road noise is not noticeable and I have nothing to report on treadwear but I can say on my vehical traction was great while driving in anything from a trace of snow to a foot of snow. Ice traction was good but this is not a winter tire and it is ice but I have yet to feel out control while driving on these tires. Stopping and going is about as good as I could ask for and cornering in bad winter conditions is good with minimal sliding and no real loss of control. I have tested these tires (where safe to do so) and they have impressed me so far. My outback is a great winter vehical but tires make a difference and these make a great difference.

Needed to ditch the stock tires on my car before winter. There were not a lot of reviews on these tires but I took a chance, I am so glad I did! I am extremely pleased with the cornering capabilities this tire has it sticks!...

I bought the pirelli scorpions because they were a Great Value at the time I desperately needed tires. I live in the Mojave and my driving is combination sand and highway. The noise level is very minimal I can barely hear any tire noise with all equipment off and the windows down. I am extremely pleased with the cornering capabilities this tire has it sticks! And that's it o know I can count on the set of scorpions on my sequoia and they look great as well.

...My rig is stock and these tires had me confident enough to go up and down Jeep trails, get out of the ditched I was trying to get stuck in like they weren't there... and it dry/set road manners remind me of my wife's touring tires, which is sort of ridiculous!

I purchased these sight unseen after already dismissing Pirelli from my search for AT tires for my X which I take off road when I can because I only knew of the AGE and it just didn't look as capable off road as most other AT tires.

I had KO2s on my previous truck and while a great winter tire, they weren't great on wet pavement and here, that's half of the year! I was settled on the Falken AT3s when I discovered testing showing this Pirelli AT+ as hands down beating the AT3s, which seemed like the best AT. I got the AT+ and have never been so impressed with a tire, and ask my wife; I like tires;)

My rig is stock and these tires had me confident enough to go up and down Jeep trails, get out of the ditched I was trying to get stuck in like they weren't there, drive through multiple, bad snowstorms and never leaving the road AND it dry/set road manners remind me of my wife's touring tires, which is sort of ridiculous!

The only noise i hear is when parking/in the driveway, with the windows down, they sound like l am driving on the tacky side of a giant piece of duct tape!

I call these my KO2-killers;) As good/better off road, but much better on.
These my wife call aggressive, but I do not. I think another tire aficionado termed Pirelli best by saying 'exemplary manners in all conditions make this tire like going off-roading in a tuxedo.'

...For an all terrain to be as comfortable and quiet as they are, I don't think there is any better...

Bought these tires to replace worn all terrains I had on my Jeep. Three days after I put them on I drove 1600 miles from PA to GA and back. All I have to say is they are OUTSTANDING... For an all terrain to be as comfortable and quiet as they are, I don't think there is any better. I have put about 2500 miles on these tires and couldn't be happier. I bought these 11/2020.

I just replaced these tires with the same exact tire after 60000+ miles put on them. Never had any issues and they were great on road and off road. Of course as they wore they did have noise but i never thought it was too bad. However after having the new ones installed I really forgot how quiet a ride these tires are. They do great in snow, I live in NE Ohio and even with the old set they still performed well. Towing boats is no problem either I have towed both my 17' duck hunting boat and my 19' fishing boat all over Ohio, Michigan and New York, tires performed excellent on all types of ramps including those steep ramps down on the Ohio River. Traction in all conditions was great! I don't have anything negative to say about this tire.

...I'm buying my second set of Pirelli's after 47,000 miles (just shy of the 50,000 tread warranty). I could probably run them to 50,000 but winter road conditions in Iowa are not meant for rolling the dice :) ... Treadwear became a little uneven and slight cupping began to occur at 40,000 miles. Tires were still drivable, but began sacrificing some grip in wet/snowy/off road conditions...

The Pirelli All Terrain Plus is the first truck tire I've purchased more than once. The OEM Hankooks on my F-150 lasted 70,000 miles but literally left me stuck in the mud when I went off road. The Yokohama Geolandar's I replaced them with had some decent off road traction and were terrific on icy/slushy roads, but were bald at 35,000 miles. I'm buying my second set of Pirelli's after 47,000 miles (just shy of the 50,000 tread warranty). I could probably run them to 50,000 but winter road conditions in Iowa are not meant for rolling the dice :) Strengths of this tire include:

- Incredibly quiet tires for the all-terrain category
- Responsive handling on dry pavement (just as sticky as the all season tires on my wife's SUV)
- No issues in wet conditions with ample tread
- Simply the best gravel/dirt road tire I've ever owned (amazing lateral grip when navigating tight turns on gravel roads)
- Some of the best snow tires I've ever owned
- Limited use in the mud but the results were encouraging
- Towed my 16 ft boat without any issues

Weaknesses:
- Ice traction could be better. The siping on these tires is fairly basic and it shows on ice.
- Treadwear became a little uneven and slight cupping began to occur at 40,000 miles. Tires were still drivable, but began sacrificing some grip in wet/snowy/off road conditions

Final verdict: These tires were a great option for someone like me who drives pavement 90% of the time but who needs tires that perform well in winter conditions in the Midwest and during weekend hunting/fishing excursions on gravel/dirt roads with occasional 4x4 runs through the mud. A great all around all-terrain option at a competitive price point both times I've purchased. Highly recommend if you're looking for a budget all-terrain tire.
