The Scorpion AS Plus 3 is Pirelli's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, SUVs and pickup trucks who want a smooth and comfortable ride with all-season confidence designed to go the extra mile, mile after mile. Specifically built for North American drivers, the Scorpion AS Plus 3 focuses on increased ride and noise comfort and longer tread life along with consistent traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
Utilizing functionalized polymers, the advanced tread compound is designed to generate higher levels of traction and provide longer mileage than previous-generation tires. The carefully engineered, asymmetric tread pattern features minimized void space for maximum contact with the road surface to increase overall grip and improve wear characteristics. Larger, sequence-tuned shoulder blocks help improve dry handling while minimizing tread noise, and the optimized mold profile helps further distribute forces for even wear and enhanced wet performance. Evenly distributed grooves and channels are designed to work in unison for predictable wet performance and hydroplaning resistance. The Scorpion AS Plus 3 employs a variety of full-depth and 3D sipes focused on retaining slippery and inclement weather traction throughout the tire's life. Horizontal 3D sipes combine with vertical sipes in the shoulders for increased biting edges while retaining good clear road handling characteristics. Zig-Zag and deep sipes on the inboard tread blocks offer consistent traction as the tire wears through wet conditions and in snow and on ice.
The internal construction of the Scorpion AS Plus 3 consists of a two-ply polyester casing designed to blend handling with comfortable road manners. Robustness and high-speed stability are ensured by twin steel belts which are reinforced by two polyamide cap plies.

...I haven't experienced any slipping at all in wet conditions... They even feel secure hitting deep puddles...
My first time trying Pirelli. These are by far the best tires I've had on any of my vehicles in the last 20 years. Noticeably improved my Outback's steering feel (less numb!), predictable handling and traction. I haven't experienced any slipping at all in wet conditions, and they have lots of bite in snow too. They even feel secure hitting deep puddles. They're also wearing very evenly while staying quiet throughout their life, which I definitely can't say about all the other brands I've tried lately. I would 100% buy these again.
...Exceptional traction in both dry and wet conditions...
Tread depth measures well above the normal threshold, indicating minimal wear. These tires offer an incredibly smooth and quiet ride. Excellent value for the price—long-lasting and dependable. Exceptional traction in both dry and wet conditions. Responsive handling and stability make them a great choice for daily driving. Installed a set on my 2022 Edge ST and my 2021 Ford Explorer XLT. Very satisfied. Will buy again.

...Very good on snow, too.
This is our 3rd or 4th set of the Pirelli's and I won't switch. They are great tires. The only reason they got a 9 on hydroplaning was I had a tiny slip when I was driving through 2' of a torrential train storm. Very good on snow, too.

...We had considerable snow here in GA this year, we drove my car to the church to teach my kids to do "donuts" in the snow... Not a bit of issue. I am "---- Yankee", so I was driving like I owned the roads. Not a bit of skid or slip.
These tires are going on my wife's car as soon as hers can justifiably changed. They are quiet, as sure as a mountain goat's feet, and last way longer than they should. Quite a bargain, all things considered. We had considerable snow here in GA this year, we drove my car to the church to teach my kids to do "donuts" in the snow. I had to drive my Southern Belle to work as she had never driven in snow. Not a bit of issue. I am "---- Yankee", so I was driving like I owned the roads. Not a bit of skid or slip.

...Overall the traction is very good in all conditions (northern Ohio) compared to other tires in this category...
These were purchased to replace/upgrade the factory Michelin Latitude tires that came on the car. Immediately noticed how much quieter and smoother these tires are. They absorb small cracks and bumps well, and are very smooth driving. Overall the traction is very good in all conditions (northern Ohio) compared to other tires in this category. Do not expect snow tire performance in snow/ice, but these are about as good as all season tires can get in the snow. Tread wear has been minimal and even. I researched a lot before making this purchase and have not been disappointed. I would not hesitate to purchase these again.

...With 53,000 miles on them they are still at 5/32... I am going to run these things 60k before I pull them...
I went to a 255/50/19 instead of a 255/45/19 as Tesla always undersizes their tires. With 53,000 miles on them they are still at 5/32. I drive mostly on chill as I have kids but I do ALOT of driving. They just started getting noisy around 50k. I am going to run these things 60k before I pull them. With EVs the largest maintenance cost is the tires. I will DEFINITELY be buying these again. I live in California and have no winter experience with them.
