The Scorpion AS Plus 3 is Pirelli's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, SUVs and pickup trucks who want a smooth and comfortable ride with all-season confidence designed to go the extra mile, mile after mile. Specifically built for North American drivers, the Scorpion AS Plus 3 focuses on increased ride and noise comfort and longer tread life along with consistent traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
Utilizing functionalized polymers, the advanced tread compound is designed to generate higher levels of traction and provide longer mileage than previous-generation tires. The carefully engineered, asymmetric tread pattern features minimized void space for maximum contact with the road surface to increase overall grip and improve wear characteristics. Larger, sequence-tuned shoulder blocks help improve dry handling while minimizing tread noise, and the optimized mold profile helps further distribute forces for even wear and enhanced wet performance. Evenly distributed grooves and channels are designed to work in unison for predictable wet performance and hydroplaning resistance. The Scorpion AS Plus 3 employs a variety of full-depth and 3D sipes focused on retaining slippery and inclement weather traction throughout the tire's life. Horizontal 3D sipes combine with vertical sipes in the shoulders for increased biting edges while retaining good clear road handling characteristics. Zig-Zag and deep sipes on the inboard tread blocks offer consistent traction as the tire wears through wet conditions and in snow and on ice.
The internal construction of the Scorpion AS Plus 3 consists of a two-ply polyester casing designed to blend handling with comfortable road manners. Robustness and high-speed stability are ensured by twin steel belts which are reinforced by two polyamide cap plies.

...They are quiet and grip wet pavements very well.
I bought these tires because of their high 800AA UTQG, as I was looking for long lasting tires that are quiet. After 24k miles, I would say I am very satisfied. The tires, when new had 11/32" of tread depth. They now have more than 7/32" of tread depth remaining. They are quiet and grip wet pavements very well.

Purchased these tires mainly for the quiet ride. I have been pleasantly surprised by how well they handled in rain and snow. Had to make an emergency trip at the end of January 2026 from NC to IN got caught in a snow storm in WV and Kentucky these tires handled the snow like a champ when other cars were slipping and sliding they held the road very well and I made it through with no problems. Tire wear is yet to be determined but they seem to be wearing well 10k miles in. These are a huge improvement over the oem Toyo tires that were noisy and easily hydroplaned.

Very good product. Excellent on dry highway, wet, braking, swerving, road noise, feeling of being in control, especially at higher speeds.Tires have good even treadwear created by correct tire pressure, rotation every 6000 miles & periodic wheel alignment. All the tires had the same tread wear at 45k miles. Estimated to have about 15k more miles of life expectancy. Southern California highways/freeways, mostly faster driving usage.

...I can safely say they are smooth, quiet, comfortable, and in our current snow instills better confidence, less slipping and sliding!...
So much to be said. Purchased my Ram 1500 just over a year ago. OEM Bridgestone Duelers wore out after 27k miles. And I mean starting to bald, slip, drift in wet and snow. Figured I’d try to make it until fall. Nope, it was just too unsafe for Michigan winter. I stopped at my local dealer to price out tires. Then started researching tires on tire rack. I love the ratings and reviews from their team. I wanted an all around performer that is comfortable and good enough in wintery conditions. I broke it down to two, Defenders or the Pirellis. I was skeptical because most reviews were for SUV’s for the pirellis. Does it belong on a truck? Yes! Compared to the Duelers oem, load weight, speed, performance, treadwear is rated better in every category. Very similar to the Defenders and I enjoy getting the best for less so I went with the Pirellis. Plus the $80 instant rebate from tire rack. Tire rack shipped the Pirellis straight to my preferred tire place in 2 days. Got them installed with a road force balancer. I can safely say they are smooth, quiet, comfortable, and in our current snow instills better confidence, less slipping and sliding! I am impressed so far and I’m very happy with them. I’ve only had them for a day but I will come back to comment on dry/wet weather and treadwear once spring hits. If you told me the tires would make such a big difference, I would have replaced the duelers much sooner. I’m very happy with my decision. Thanks Tire Rack and Pirelli.

Comfortable, study tire which delivers without fail. My wife is the primary daily driver (city) but day trips < 300 miles are common. Braking and accelleration are plenty for this little 4 cylinder car and I feel they would perform well with the larger, heavier 6 cylinder.

Drastic improvement from the stock Toyos. Handling, comfort, and quietness is superb. Maintains traction in heavy rain with no problem. Light snow is no problem either. Moderate/heavy snow and ice require more caution (they can break traction) but they are capable. Tread is 12/32 after nearly 14k miles

Most customers rate treadwear as excellent with scores of 9-10, highlighting long-lasting durability and impressive mileage for Crossover/SUV use. A few lower ratings exist but overall satisfaction remains high.
