The Scorpion WeatherActive is Pirelli's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of CUVs, SUVs, and pickups looking for comfort and confident performance in dry, wet, and light snow conditions. The Scorpion WeatherActive is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.

Scorpion WeatherActive callouts

The Scorpion WeatherActive's innovative polymer/resin compound is molded into a V-formation directional tread pattern designed to deliver dry, wet, and wintertime performance as well as quiet on-road comfort. A narrow, long footprint and rigid 3-rib block design provide lateral traction and stability through turns in dry and wet conditions. A central zig-zag groove and trumpet-shaped lateral grooves work together for wet weather handling and hydroplaning resistance. Multiple biting edges within the tread blocks combine with deep sipes and generous shoulder notches for increased snow traction sufficient to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

The internal construction of the Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive consists of a two-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. Two polyamide reinforcement plies enhance high-speed stability and performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...The wet traction is superb...

I have been highly impressed with these tires. I immediately noticed an improved steering response compared to the factory Hankooks and the ride is so much quieter. They are very smooth and have given much more confidence in cornering and control of my truck. I've only had these a short time so no snow yet, but I do think they can more than handle a couple inches of that no problem. The wet traction is superb. I highly recommend them.

So far they’re great. Used them in snow/packed/light ice conditions for the first time yesterday and the they’re inspiring in snow to say the least. I was able to go on some back roads and push beyond my comfort zone on the snow, packed and light ice conditions of the central Rockies. Dry and wet conditions were fine, I’m also not pushing tires to extreme limits. Just an average driver focused on a really good tire for variable winter conditions that we get here in Colorado and I may have found a gem!

...We've driven these in snow, rain & dry roads and had great traction and comfort...

These are the best tires I've purchased for any of my vehicles - hands down. I've already purchased a second set for another Acura RDX that we own. We also have an X7 and X3 BMW that, when the time comes, will be getting these tires also. We've driven these in snow, rain & dry roads and had great traction and comfort. Unfortunately, after about 5k miles, one of the tires got a screw that was too close to the sidewall to patch. The repair shop measured treadwear and the tires were like brand new still! The Tire Rack guarantee was fantastic also - replaced that tire and all it cost me was some labor. Will definitely buy more sets of these tires thru Tire Rack &, as stated, I already have!

...The dry and wet responsiveness is awesome...you have to learn not to oversteer or you'll find yourself inside your intended line pretty quickly...

I've always bought top-of-the-line tires either Continentals or Michelins, but these things smoke both. The dry and wet responsiveness is awesome....you have to learn not to oversteer or you'll find yourself inside your intended line pretty quickly. The wet traction is great, but the snow traction BEATS any on-road (or even on/off road or dedicated winter tires) tire I've driven short of studded tires. Being from New York snow country, I've driven my share of slicky, deep, slushy, packed, you-name-it snow, and as long as you know how to drive on snow these tires make life pretty easy (no more tire swapping every fall and spring). These things stopped our Jeep going downhill (3-4% grade) on snow that had been driven over a half dozen times and had frozen solid. Drove up the same without so much as a tire slip. The tread is a little noisier than typical radial tires, probably the atypical tread pattern; but is certainly acceptable. If you're disappointed with these tires, next time by a tank or snowmobile.

Sounds weird, but you can feel these tires gripping the pavement.
Very responsive. Totally satisfied. Plan to buy another set for my 2021 Nautilus when the stock Continentals wear out.

I replaced the OE Bridgestone Ecopias after 87,000 miles. What a HUGE difference with the Weatheractives. Wet weather performance is amazing, car feels so much more sure footed. Dry handling is great and road noise isn't too bad at all. I am looking forward to seeing how they do in snow. I would definitely recommend these tires.
