The Scorpion is Pirelli's Street/Sport Truck Summer tire developed for drivers of crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks who want sharp handling and a sporty feel on the road. Designed for larger wheels and lower-profile applications, it combines confident dry and wet grip with responsive steering while maintaining a comfortable ride.
The Scorpion features a silica-enhanced tread compound blended with natural rubber for strong traction and braking in both wet and dry conditions. This compound is molded into a symmetric tread pattern engineered for sporty performance and all-season capability in warmer weather. Four circumferential grooves feeding the tire's lateral notches efficiently channel water away from the contact patch to help combat hydroplaning. A customized pitch sequence, combined with optimized groove spacing and inclination, significantly reduces road noise for a quieter driving experience. Solid shoulder blocks enhance stability and provide quick response to steering inputs.
The internal construction of the Scorpion features a polyester casing supporting two steel belts, reinforced with a polyamide cap ply for added high-speed stability and durability.
