The Dimax All Weather is Radar's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sedans, coupes, station wagons, crossovers and SUVs looking for daily driving comfort combined with confident performance in dry, wet and light snow conditions. The Dimax All Weather is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance and is intended to function as a one-tire solution for drivers that experience all four seasons but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.

The Dimax All Weather utilizes a silica-enriched all-season tread compound molded into a V-Formation directional tread design engineered to deliver long-life and dry, wet and wintertime performance. Longitudinal dry grip is buoyed by alternating the center tread blocks for uninterrupted contact when accelerating or decelerating. The blocks are connected shoulder-to-shoulder with embedded support in the tread for ideal stiffness and cohesion to support precision steering. Aqueduct Grooves channel water away from the contact patch, to fight hydroplaning with the aid of circumferential grooves designed into the pattern. The sawtooth design of the central grooves, alongside the stepped design of the shoulder blocks, create traps for ideal snow-to-snow traction in winter weather while enabling stiffer tread blocks for excellent dry and wet performance.

Radar Dimax All Weather

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...I am especially impressed so far with the Wet traction. When accelerating from a dead stop, 2 different OEM tires would skip while trying to gain traction. These tires grip the road immediately with no hesitation or slip...

This was my first purchase with Tire Rack and while I couldn't find a vendor to install the tires immediately in my area, their website did have a Mobile Tire installation option. Even after paying the separate Mobile Tire installation charge and the cost of the Tires from Tire Rack, my overall cost was less than if I purchased better known name brand tires or even OEM tires for my vehicle. I find these tires to be more quiet, handle better in both dry & wet conditions. I am especially impressed so far with the Wet traction. When accelerating from a dead stop, 2 different OEM tires would skip while trying to gain traction. These tires grip the road immediately with no hesitation or slip. In addition, I have passed through numerous puddles of standing water with ease while driving on the highways. I will definitely purchase this brand again and from Tire Rack in the future.

I am extremely impressed with these tires. I’ve driven on them in both heavy rain and snow, and the traction has been outstanding, no slipping at all. They feel very stable and secure, even in poor weather conditions, which has given me a lot of confidence behind the wheel. The ride is smooth and quiet, and handling feels solid and responsive. These tires have already exceeded my expectations, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable performance in all weather conditions.

Just drove through curb-hiding snow. Tires maintained traction beyond expectations, only slipping momentarily in the worst spots. I'm wholly impressed.

Otherwise, there's a minor amount of squirm to them, especially when the weather is warmer, compared to the summer tires that were swapped. Traction in wet conditions was excellent. Traction on gravel/debris was as-expected.

I haven't paid attention to tread wear as much, but nothing egregious has been noted.

I'm really impressed with these tires. I drove through a snow blizzard late night and I did not feel i needed to adjust my driving for the conditions, the tires performed excellently. Rain has not been an issue. So far, my Subaru outback is the perfect vehicle for them.
It's also a very soft ride. I got then in the heat of the summer and I was blown away by how noticeably soft the ride was.

Il try to update again after I drive in deep snow. Yesterday's storm was 3-5" deep.

...yet I'm so amazed on how this tire... performs both on city and highway on dry traction...

The cheapest brand and tire spec on tirerack for my 96 Nissan Gloria GranTurismo Y33 yet I'm so amazed on how this tire (I bought just one and will plan to buy one again this week) performs both on city and highway on dry traction. The road noise is less compared to the rest of the the 3 tires that have been on since I purchased the car 3 years ago in Japan. I haven't been run and tested on wet and snow traction since it's summer right now in Southern Californian but based on the thread and the reviews that this tire brand and model is great for wet and snow. The best bang for the buck and I'm about to purchase the same tire again this week.

...it is a huge comfort knowing that I have something reasonably competent to get through any oddball October (or September!) snowstorms that might hit us...

I've only driven these tires about 1000 miles, and not in any snow or ice conditions yet -- though one reason I chose them was their very good rating for ice conditions. Before now, I was not really aware that "all weather" tires were a thing, apart from "all season" tires. I still plan to switch to actual snow tires for our long Upper Michigan winters, but I usually switch in early November and it is a huge comfort knowing that I have something reasonably competent to get through any oddball October (or September!) snowstorms that might hit us.

What I really wanted to say at this early point is, WHAT A DIFFERENCE these tires made in how my car handles and behaves! Maybe this is more a review of how bad my old tires were than how good these new ones are, but WOW. I was 99% convinced my car had serious wheel alignment problems before, though my mechanic assured me otherwise. Turning a corner from a stop sign was sluggish, steering always felt dead and begrudging, and when backing/turning from my driveway the old front tires were fighting each other to the degree that I could hear and feel one or the other slip and scuff on the asphalt. If not alignment, I thought my differential must not be working right. But miraculously these problems went away when these new tires went on... yeah the old ones were really bald, but I don't even know how this degree of improvement is possible.

...Time will tell what mileage to expect from them...

They were surprisingly good in heavy downpour. Can't comment how good they will be in snow as we only get snow a couple times a year.

Otherwise they are pretty comparable to Michelin Defenders, General RT45, etc. Time will tell what mileage to expect from them. Pretty round took only 1/4oz to balance.

On the negative side they seem to be pretty slippery when new; at least until rubber hairs wear off, and rear has tendency to stip out in turns. Perhaps it will improve with mileage. Generally they're better at stopping than cornering but well within category. Pretty comparable to other offerings at x2 price

...The tread is really wild and super sticky. Remains to be seen how long they last...

First of all kudos to Tire Rack! I ordered the tires online and they were at my house from their warehouse several states away in less than 24 hours! Incredible speed and service. Secondly, the price I paid for these tires was super super reasonable. Who sells a tire like this for $100? Crazy inexpensive. Lastly, I love these tires! Haven’t driven them that much in the rain but they seem good. Dry weather and roads on a warm day and these things grip like a cat on shag carpet. The tread is really wild and super sticky. Remains to be seen how long they last. Won’t know about snow because I swap out for studded snows. The only thing I don’t like is that my driveway isn’t paved and has many small stones, these tires gobble them up into the treads like crazy then spit them out once you get up to speed. So kinda concerned about chips in the paint. But the tires themselves are pretty awesome performers for such little money.
