The HTR Enhance LX2 is Sumitomo's Standard Touring All-Season tire designed for the drivers of coupes, family sedans and small crossovers and was developed to combine responsive handling and long life with all-season traction, even in light snow.
A high-silica, super microparticulate carbon compound enhances both strength and flexibility for improvements in wear and wet traction, while the asymmetric tread pattern focuses on all-season performance and reliable handling even as the tire wears. Optimized groove depth and even pressure distribution throughout the contact patch help prevent irregular wear, improving the usable life. The compound's high silica content enhances grip in wet conditions, while the straight, circumferential grooves and wide, lateral notches evacuate water from the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance. An increased number of sipes in the tread pattern create more biting edges for traction in snow and on ice, and utilizing 3D zigzag sipes helps retain tread block rigidity for handling, while cross-designed chamfers retain snow in the tread for snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the HTR Enhance LX2 consists of a 2-ply polyester casing beneath two wide, high-rigidity steel belts. A spirally wound, nylon reinforcement enhances high-speed stability, and the high modulus bead insert improves steering response.

...exceptional grip on wet roads - have not hydroplaned in deep standing and heavy rainfall...
I replaced a set of Toyo Open Country that cost $400 each, with these tires and found them to have a smooth ride, exceptional grip on wet roads - have not hydroplaned in deep standing and heavy rainfall, and quiet ride for about half the price. I have gravel roads as well as paved roads with several different driving conditions at times in the same week and hands down, these tires have out preformed the Toyo tires when they were new. As I've only driven 1,000 miles on these I can't tell how long the tread will last but they still look new and handle the as they did when mounted.

...Also, just yesterday, I had to get away from somebody that wanted my lane more than I did. I had to do an instant 70 mph lane change and these tires performed beautifully.
I mount and balance my own tires. I lined up the dot with the valve stem and these needed almost no weight to balance. I probably could've just left them as mounted with no weights added at all. I've had to use more weight to balance a motorcycle tire in the past. Also, just yesterday, I had to get away from somebody that wanted my lane more than I did. I had to do an instant 70 mph lane change and these tires performed beautifully.

A lot of spinning out on wet roads when starting out. Tread feels very hard which is probably why. They are very good on dry roads, but would not purchase again.

This tire is slightly larger and has a stiffer sidewall than the oem tire size but it has vastly improved the cars handling and has been significantly better on tread wear. They leave a bit left to be desired in wet conditions but just take it easy and it’s fine. They perform about as good as you can expect an all season to perform in the snow but they aren’t hopeless if you have experience in wintry conditions. I haven’t exactly been easy on these tires and they’ve held up really well. Pleasantly surprised

Noise levels also earn strong ratings (7-10), though a few note slightly higher noise. Overall, it delivers the quiet, comfortable experience expected from a Grand Touring All-Season tire.

...I'm well satisfied with ware, comfort, and price...
I bought these tires based on reviews and price on your site. I only ordered 2 for the front of my vehicle. The Sumitomo appeared the best bang for the buck. It's been a year, need to order 2 more for the front and roll these to the back. I'm well satisfied with ware, comfort, and price. Thank you for helping keep prices down. Just my opinion, but our economy is in the tank and any savings is a blessing...

...The change in the ride, handling and noise was IMMEDIATELY obvious that I had made a good choice...
We have two 2019 Subaru Foresters. My wife drives a long winding road down to her volunteer work and her tires were replaced last year. (Continentals at the dealer, 70,000 mile warranty, wheels aligned, $1155!) I still had some tread on mine so I waited. The Sumitomo was on my short list and when Tire Rack put them on sale. I clicked the buy button. The change in the ride, handling and noise was IMMEDIATELY obvious that I had made a good choice. And, so far, gas mileage shows about 1.5 miles gallon more than the Falken OEM. Plus, I did it all for $748, tires, mounting, alignment and the same 70,000 mile warranty as my wife's Continentals.
