The Pilot Sport 4 SUV is Michelin's Street/Sport Truck Summer tire developed for the drivers of powerful and performance-focused crossovers and SUVs. The Pilot Sport 4 SUV is optimized for enhanced comfort and low noise and designed to deliver outstanding grip in warm, wet and dry conditions. Like all Street/Sport Truck Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored, nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
A summer-focused tread compound utilizes functional elastomers and thin silica for improved traction in wet and dry conditions and is molded into a performance-oriented, asymmetric pattern. High pattern stiffness and a rigid design help provide strong lateral grip in the dry, and the optimized notches enhance dry braking performance. The inboard side of the tread features a wider circumferential groove and greater pitch count for enhanced wet traction, while the deep, straight channels help evacuate water from the contact patch to improve hydroplaning resistance.
The internal construction of the Pilot Sport 4 SUV consists of a high-density, polyester casing that provides a robust and durable structure and supports two wide, steel belts. An aramid and nylon hybrid reinforcement ply enhances driving precision and high-speed capability.
Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Street/Sport Truck Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage. Tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

...Rain traction is perfect and I feel they are the best tires I can put on the car to keep my family safe...
Great tires for the money. The wife put about 12-14,000 miles on them last year and they seem to be about half worn. Even wear amount all 4 tires and very little road noise compared to the OEM hankooks. Hoping to get this year out of them and will definitely purchase them again. The 10spd trans in the expo can get a little spirited and these handle the high torque very will. Rain traction is perfect and I feel they are the best tires I can put on the car to keep my family safe. Blizzaks in the winter, pilot pros in the summer. Winning combination for a 7,000lb tuned SUV.

...I run Pilot Sport tires on my GT3 so why not try them on the Macan S. Enjoyable difference in driving and they are very quiet...
These tires on my Macan S are SUPER. I run a set of pure winter tires and wheels. So, why just run all season tires the rest of the time when not needed. I run Pilot Sport tires on my GT3 so why not try them on the Macan S. Enjoyable difference in driving and they are very quiet. I’ll borrow from Steppenwolf here — it’s like you are on a magic carpet ride. Thanks to Jim at Tire Rack.

...They dramatically improve the cornering and braking performance of your car. For me, the additional cost of these tires is a small price to pay for the exceptionally improved driving performance that these tires offer.
These Michelin Pilots are a driving tire for someone who values performance over tread wear. I love these tires! They dramatically improve the cornering and braking performance of your car. For me, the additional cost of these tires is a small price to pay for the exceptionally improved driving performance that these tires offer.

Great comfort, quite tire and really impressed with the treadwear...
Great comfort, quite tire and really impressed with the treadwear. Would buy again without researching new to market tires. Simply an awesome tire!

Love the grip, ride and quiet of these tires. At 30,000 miles the original tires (Pirelli) were half worn and I couldn't see spending another 30k, much less 10k miles on them. I could predict when they would start to give up traction, in the dry and wet. I have been a Michelin Man for decades and couldn't wait to get off the Pirellis and onto some sporty Michelins. The Pilot Sport SUV's are what I have been wanting for a while now.

Most customers rate treadwear highly with scores 8-10, highlighting excellent durability in summer conditions. Some lower scores (5-7) note mixed longevity experiences, but overall performance remains strong for sport-focused SUVs.

...Was a little worried about wearing early but surprisingly they have very little treadwear!...
Wow what a tire this is!!! These tires are super sticky! Can really feel the deference when I'm romping around town in my minivan, taking tight corners at speeds that shouldn't be possible. Was a little worried about wearing early but surprisingly they have very little treadwear! I rotate the tires every 5k to help keep the wear even. Great dry handling in the city or freeway, wet handling was way above what I expected. I got caught on the freeway when it stated raining buckets, like a flash flood type of rain, these tires didn't once loose grip or slip during the few minutes of that, very scary but these tires handled like a champ. I know these aren't off road rated but I did need to take it out into the country with long dirt roads with sharp rocks, was worried about tire chunks coming off, well I'm glad to report not even a darn scratch in treads or sidewalls. I did take these through mud too when it rained, but to be fair I had cables installed on the front. Overall this minivan handles amazing, full potential unlocked with these Pilot Sport 4 SUV's and I can't imagine going to a different tire when these are due for replacement.
