The Solus KH25 (so'lus) is Kumho's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sporty coupes and touring sedans. Solus KH25 tires are designed to blend noise comfort, ride comfort and balanced all-season performance with dry, wet and wintertime traction, even in light snow.

Solus KH25 tires mold a silica-enhanced all-season tread compound into a symmetric tread design that features full-depth circumferential grooves and variable-pitch lateral grooves to enhance hydroplaning resistance and snow traction while reducing noise. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to promote stability and high-speed durability while polyester body plies provide casing strength and a smooth ride.

Kumho Solus KH25 Reviews

User feedback reveals the Kumho Solus KH25 delivers strong dry traction (scores 8-10 dominate) with responsive handling in ideal conditions, aligning with Grand Touring expectations. However, comfort receives mixed ratings (common scores 4-6), with some noting excessive road noise and inconsistent ride smoothness. Treadwear shows polarizing results-some report premature wear (scores 0-5), while others cite average longevity. Winter performance falls short (frequent 0-3 ratings), struggling in snow/ice despite its all-season designation. Wet traction proves adequate for light rain (scores 5-7 typical) but shows hydroplaning concerns in heavy downpours. Best suited for drivers prioritizing dry-road competence over all-weather versatility.

...they performed fairly well in wet conditions but broke lose A LOT in dry conditions...

Stock tires that came with vehicle, we purchased the car 10,000 miles ago so we pretty much got the short end of the stick with the tires. But based off on 38,000 miles, they are worn down to the bone, literally hovering around 2/32. My girlfriend and I drive like bats out of -------- sometimes but mostly it's cruising and high end speeds on the expressway. They weren't great but they definitely weren't downright terrible. They roar with noise and are fairly uncomfortable, but that's mostly due to the design of the Veloster Turbo. We didn't experience too much snow but they performed fairly well in wet conditions but broke lose A LOT in dry conditions. All in all, I wouldn't purchase them again because I expect at least 50k miles off of tires but for cheaper ones, they were okay at best.

...confident in the rain and dry handling was excellent...

I have had these tires on my 2016 Hyundai Accent for over 46k miles.
They have performed excellent considering the car they're mounted on.
They wore very well and evenly. I'll get atleast 50k miles out of them, maybe
55k. They were quiet, wore great on the front, confident in the rain and dry handling
was excellent. I'll purchase again if there's nothing better for cheaper.

...My Dart has the turbo charged engine and from time to time I punish my tires and have found them to be very durable and responsive in all types of weather conditions...

I bought my 2013 Dart new and I have found these tires to be better than the other brands I have owned. My Dart has the turbo charged engine and from time to time I punish my tires and have found them to be very durable and responsive in all types of weather conditions. Considering that these are the factory original tires,I never expected to get much over 25,000 or 30,000 miles out of them,so I am impressed with the fact that I'm at 52,000 miles and and just getting to the point in which I am thinking of replacing them, but I still have tread left and could probably go another 2,000 or 3,000 miles. I highly recommend these tires!

2nd set of factory OEM tires for my 2011 Sonata. These (like the original set on the car) have poor snow/wet traction. To the point that I have to slow down 10-15 mph in the rain and even more than that in the snow. I only put the second set on the car as they were nearly free when I purchased a new set of rims from the dealer (Ohio pot holes ate the other set of rims).

Will not put these tires on the car again. Far better options available

...On rainy days even at the lightest bit of acceleration you will peel out...

These tires are the original set on my 2014 Dodge Dart SXT. Im the 2nd owner of the vehicle and I really wished I had pushed for a tire swap before purchasing it. On rainy days even at the lightest bit of acceleration you will peel out. On snowy days you're SOL and better hope no one stops in front of you and you get all green lights. I use snow tires in the winter but my mom mistakenly bought these for her Pontiac G6. She completely regrets purchasing them as well. She says they are the worst tires she's ever had in her 40+ years of driving. Did I also forget to mentiom how loud they are? If you want to save money, purchase a used tire just as long as they're any brand but these. Buyer beware.

...Felt like I was driving on completely bald tires. I'm very cautious in the winter but these tires made driving in snow and ice nearly impossible.

I live in Wyoming and travel the roads in winter time. Felt like I was driving on completely bald tires. I'm very cautious in the winter but these tires made driving in snow and ice nearly impossible. Felt like being on an inner tube behind a boat when rain was heavy, which is out of control, for those you who have never been on a tube behind a boat. You can simply look at the tread on the tires and debate if its a summer only tire intended for perfect street conditions.
At 34,000 miles on these tires and in dire need of replacing, I am very disappointed to say the least! I do traffic control for road construction and understand wear and tear on tires as I spent 90% of my time in a vehicle.

...Definitely not recommended if you live anywhere that gets snow or ice, these tires are really quite terrible in the snow. I had a drive to work where the road was almost entirely iced over, and the tires made that drive extremely difficult to maintain control. The backend of the car saw no traction, and you could feel that at the steering wheel.

Rough ride, loud, quickly wearing, barely acceptable on snow, down right frightening on ice. Definitely not recommended if you live anywhere that gets snow or ice, these tires are really quite terrible in the snow. I had a drive to work where the road was almost entirely iced over, and the tires made that drive extremely difficult to maintain control. The backend of the car saw no traction, and you could feel that at the steering wheel.

These are noisy and wear quickly. Highway driving is pretty harsh. In 12,000 miles, I've lost 3/32" on two of the tires, both of which are at opposite sides and ends of the vehicle; tires are regularly rotated. I'm not doing burnouts folks, just driving back and forth to work!

Breakdown - Scale: Terrible, OK, Good, Great/Excellent.
Snow/Ice: Terrible. DO NOT BUY if you will be driving in an area prone to these conditions.
Rain/Wet: OK. Definitely not the best and not all that confidence inspiring, but good enough. Accelerating in the wet quickly gets the wheels spinning.
Dry: Good. Noisy, but otherwise good.
Highway: OK. Would be passable if you needed tires right now, but they are noisy and ride is harsh over bumps.

Summary: Relatively crappy OEM tires that, sure, they'll get the job done, but are not comfortable and are relatively useless in the snow and ice.

...They are noisy and wet/winter traction in below average...

These tires are the worst. They are the O.E. for my Dart. I commute 60 to 90 miles daily(65% highway/35% city) . The only reason I still have them on my car is my wheel and tire warranty, I have gone through sixteen(16) tires since 2/17/14 . The miles listed is the total on the car I have only bought/replaced one tire since I have owned them because of wear, the rest were all potholes, speed bumps, and cracks in the road. They pop the same way small blow out in the dead center of the sidewall, I have never had a failure through the tread. They are noisy and wet/winter traction in below average. The only positive thing is dry weather performance is good.

These came stock on my 2011 Sonata. After 11 months and 40,000 miles and am trading up to the Michelin Primacy. Last winter, even new, they never felt like they had a real good grip in light snow. And they are LOUD! Unfortunately, they did not drown out the complaints of my girlfriend on a recent trip to the Outerbanks NC. I am the second owner of this 2013 Dart. It had 44k miles on the tires when I purchased the car. It now has 110,700+ miles before the wear reached the tread wear marks. The DOT labels are 11/14. Dry traction is good to excellent even with very little tread. The wet traction leaves a lot to be desired.
