Most customers rate wet traction highly with scores of 8s and 9s, praising strong grip and hydroplaning resistance. While a few lower scores exist, the majority find it reliable in rainy conditions.

...Wet traction is fantastic and better than expected hydroplaining resistance.
These tires are great for under 500hp. Great cornering, handling and traction. Wet traction is fantastic and better than expected hydroplaining resistance.

Customers consistently rate the Yokohama ADVAN Apex V601's dry traction highly, with most scores between 9-10. High marks highlight excellent grip and responsive handling, delivering confident performance in summer driving conditions.

...The V601 was grippy but lacks compared to the ECS02, especially once they wear down. I don't know why but they seemed to lose a lot of grip, to the point where they gripped like UHP all seasons by the time they were at wear bars. They're great tires when relatively new, though, and still feel very controllable...
These were my first set of summer tires, but now that I've moved on to the more refined and newer Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02, I feel like I better understand the pros and cons of this tire better. Overall, they were great value at the time of purchase, being about 25% cheaper than the top brands. I was considering getting these again but the price went up at the time of replacement and I wanted to try something else.
That being said, I really loved the steering feel of the tire, and it had a nice weight to it. You got a good feel for what the tire was doing underneath you compared to the ECS02. The ECS02 did have better overall cohesiveness and felt more balanced during weight transitions, so it's a trade off. The V601 was grippy but lacks compared to the ECS02, especially once they wear down. I don't know why but they seemed to lose a lot of grip, to the point where they gripped like UHP all seasons by the time they were at wear bars. They're great tires when relatively new, though, and still feel very controllable. It doesn't rain too hard here in the Denver area, so I don't have the most experience in the rain, but they felt planted during normal driving. I did do one canyon run in the rain, and it had more of a tendency to feel a bit unsettled in hard cornering.
Overall, the V601 is a sharp handling tire that seems to break into understeer a bit earlier than the Continentals. It's a tighter feeling tire but also a bit more edgy and less refined. Cracks in the road translate through the wheel more and it turns into corners sharper. Some people may prefer that as the Continentals are a bit more slow to respond.
Unfortunately, the mileage you get considering the grip levels is a bit disappointing. My driving on these tires consisted of 90% regular street driving, 10% fast canyon driving, with 2 autocross events sprinkled in. I got 15k miles before they hit wear bars which isn't terrible but definitely below the 20k I was hoping for.

Most customers rate comfort highly (scores 7-10), praising smooth handling and refined road feel. Aligns well with max performance summer design. A few note occasional harshness, but overall satisfaction remains strong.

...my favorite part is the ride comfort and lower road noise. I have them on my daily driver, and the v601 is very smooth on the highway as a summer tire. You may expect some road noise for tires in this category, but the v601 is on the quieter side...
Tires have excellent dry and acceptable wet traction, and my favorite part is the ride comfort and lower road noise.
I have them on my daily driver, and the v601 is very smooth on the highway as a summer tire. You may expect some road noise for tires in this category, but the v601 is on the quieter side. The wear is good too. I got about 25k miles for my front tires and 17k for my rear(I have always have this wear problem in my stationwagon).
On the other hand, because of the soft sidewall, you lose some steering respond. Wet traction can also be improved. They are slippery in a cold foggy morning on back roads, yet still acceptable on a rainly highway for commute.
Highly recommend for people looking for a daily driver summer tires without sacrifying comfort.

First time buying high performance tires and these did not disappoint. Compared to my stock Michelin Primacies these are much more responsive, smoother, and comfortable. The ride quality is actually very nice, road noise and bumps are much less noticeable than before. And if you know how to, it's not too hard to let the tail out with these tires.
No experience yet with wet driving.

Most customers rate treadwear highly, with many scoring 8s and 9s. The ADVAN Apex V601's durable compound excels in summer conditions, though a few note variability in longevity.

...Treadwear so far and performance are excellent for this price.
The tires offer a good grip in both dry and wet conditions, along with a solid steering feel. Rides better and are slightly quieter than the OEM Yokohama tires.

For the performance level of this tire and how will it grips, they wear like iron... These tires last probably twice as long as the OEM tire, and probably twice as long as a 200 treadwear high performance tire...
For the performance level of this tire and how will it grips, they wear like iron. Very quiet and smooth for use on an electric car. These tires last probably twice as long as the OEM tire, and probably twice as long as a 200 treadwear high performance tire. They probably have 80 to 85% of the grip of a 200 tread wear high performance tire. Also for some reason they wear super evenly with minimal tire rotations.
