The Majesty 9 Solus TA91 is Kumho's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for the drivers of sedans, crossovers, and minivans who want a combination of smooth refinement and driving pleasure. The Majesty 9 Solus TA91 is engineered with a focus on providing a quiet and luxurious experience in addition to confident grip and responsive handling in dry, wet, and wintry conditions, even in light snow.

Kumho Majesty 9 Solus TA91 Callouts

A silica-reinforced, all-season compound is molded into the Majesty 9 Solus TA91's asymmetric tread pattern. The outboard section of the tread features less void area and stiffer blocks to deliver lateral stability and cornering traction, while the inboard elements are focused on wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. Chamfered block edges are designed for sound attenuation, and the pitch and orientation of the blocks help reduce perceptible airborne noise. Four wide, circumferential grooves work with high-angle and lateral notches to evacuate standing water from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance. Sipes in the pattern and the all-season compound help provide traction in slippery conditions, including light snow and ice.

The internal construction of the Majesty 9 Solus TA91 consists of a two-ply, polyester casing that helps provide comfort and durability, and the asymmetric steel belts are reinforced by spirally-wound nylon to enhance handling and high-speed capability.

...I am extremely happy and they did a great job in all weather, especially wet, snow and dry...

They lasted 48,000 miles on a performance SUV for that price. I am extremely happy and they did a great job in all weather, especially wet, snow and dry. I am very pleased with this tire for the money. These are similar to Michelin at half the price. South Korean tire manufacturer I trust them good people and making cost effective quality goods just like Japan. Thank you tire rack.

...Great all around tire, but surprisingly awesome in corners, hard turning, spirited driving in wet conditions...

This is a fantastic good wearing all around tire for the money, the only complaint was from my mechanic who hates Installing lower profile tires...
Great all around tire, but surprisingly awesome in corners, hard turning, spirited driving in wet conditions. I really don't remember this tire not doing what was asked of it, but I used Kumoh tires many times on my GTI and and burned the up on the track, so I have no complaints about anything I have ever bought from this company. For the money it's the best thing going for sure, or when I needed tires to be fair to Tire Rack because their agent suggested them, and the next time I call they might have a better suggestion? Go for it!

...They handle snow very well, and do ok accelerating on ice with 4wd but fishtail some while cornering on ice.

I am using these as winter tires in the middle of Alaska and they have done very well as daily drivers on reasonably maintained roads. They handle snow very well, and do ok accelerating on ice with 4wd but fishtail some while cornering on ice.

...for a grand touring tire, the dry grip and cornering performance is great. responsiveness is there and it offers great road feel. it can rival summer performance tires to a degree but you feel the limits of this tire far before that of a summer tire...

not a bad tire for the money, i do a lot of commuting to school and work and i do drive on backroads whenever i can in my car. for a grand touring tire, the dry grip and cornering performance is great. responsiveness is there and it offers great road feel. it can rival summer performance tires to a degree but you feel the limits of this tire far before that of a summer tire. overall a solid tire although they did wear considerably more than i would’ve thought given it’s only been a year since first mount. overall a solid 7/10

...They ride very comfortably...

I love my car. 178000 miles. But it eats tires. I’ve had my car for 10 years. I’m on the seventh set of tires before buying the Khumo. The most mileage I ever got out of a set of tires was 23,000 miles, with the Khumo Majesty I have gotten 40,000 miles. Very very good for my car. They ride very comfortably. They have great dry and wet traction and I have enjoyed having these on my car.

...These are the quietest tires I have ever owned and fit the personality of the A8L perfectly...

I've had various Continental and Pirelli tires on my five Audi's over the years, and I was a bit reluctant to move to the Kumho Majesty, but I couldn't be more pleased. Handling and good wear are important to me, but I wanted a tire that would also be QUIET (unlike the OEM Goodyears they replaced). These are the quietest tires I have ever owned and fit the personality of the A8L perfectly. The TireRack tests, ratings and reviews were a great resource in helping me select these tires -- thanks TireRack!

...Tread wear has been great (always set to the proper psi)...

Spent a long time shopping for tires, needed something that was gonna match the comfort of the car. After looking at tires that would have costed double I ended up landing on the Kumhos, Tire rack had excellent reviews and testing on this tire. After living with them for about 5k miles now I can fully believe the reviews and testing. This is the quietest tire I have ever experienced, This is my first l luxury barge as some would call it and these tire match the comfort and quietness the car can offer. They look very classy with a good looking side wall and have great turn in response. They handle the rain with ease and inspire confidence. I came from pilot sport 4s and they are a great tire but they are 4 times as noisy and maybe twice as stiff now those are a sporty tire so I cant knock them that much but the Kumhos are half the cost and provide the same level of confidence with a much more comfort. Absolute banger of a tire and I don't see my self switching to anything else as long as they are available. Tread wear has been great (always set to the proper psi) If you are looking for a tire on your luxury sedan or crossover do not over think or over pay these will treat you well !!!! Kumho killed it on this tire and I hope they continue to evolve it over time.

...At first I wanted to trash these tires in this keyboard dance because they only lasted 21,807 driven miles. However, I realized three things. First, because my tires are staggered, I cannot rotate them; I can only rotate side-to-side, which is useless.

I recommend these tires for those who live in a mostly dry climate, experiencing light snowfall, or switch to dedicated winter tires when it is cold, wet, and snowy. I live in the Colorado mountains and switch to winter tires and so these are driven when it is mostly dry, sometimes wet, and not commonly on deep snow. For instance, these tires do poorly at highway speed on slush. Otherwise, I recommend them and am on the second set. At first I wanted to trash these tires in this keyboard dance because they only lasted 21,807 driven miles. However, I realized three things. First, because my tires are staggered, I cannot rotate them; I can only rotate side-to-side, which is useless. Rotating front-to-back and diagonal is key to hitting that shelf life. Second, the Keumho Majesty Solus 9 longevity is not bad. Actually, given the context, it is in fact pretty good. I drove 21,807 miles and the two front pair cost me $294.44, or 1.3 cents per mile or, looking at it another way, I drove 75 miles per spent dollar. The Continental ProContact TX that preceded these lasted 24,311 miles (only 11% longer) but cost $694 per front pair (2.35x more expensive), which is 3 cents per mile or only 35 driving miles per spent dollar. Coming down to the bottomline number, I drove the Keumo twice as far per spent dollar than the Continental. They are economical. Third, my car is heavy. The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport 3.3T AWD weighs 4,453 pounds, which is more than both of our other SUVs, one of which is a three-row. I still can't wrap my head around that; a sedan that weighs more than a two SUVs, one of which has three rows. Anyhow, I recommend these tires and just bought a second set.
