The Assurance ComfortDrive is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for drivers of sedans, coupes, crossovers, and SUVs looking for a sensibly luxurious tire that delivers a smooth ride and premium noise comfort. Assurance ComfortDrive tires are developed to provide a satisfying grip on dry and wet roads along with confidence in wintry weather conditions, including light snow.
The Assurance ComfortDrive features an all-season tread compound that utilizes soybean oil for increased traction without sacrificing fuel economy and tread wear. The symmetric tread design employs Evolving Traction Grooves and TreadLock Technology that yields consistent grip and stability combined with responsive dry handling. The optimized tread pattern is engineered to reduce tread harmonics and airborne noise for a luxuriously quiet ride. Symmetrically balanced AquaChannel Grooves and large, lateral notches help evacuate water from the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance and enhanced wet performance. Large sipes built into the tread blocks increase the biting edges necessary for grip in snowy or icy conditions.
The tire's internal construction features Goodyear's ComfortFlex technology, designed to absorb impacts while providing ultra-refined handling and steering response. A two-ply casing supports twin steel belts, along with a reinforcement cap ply for increased high-speed capabilities.

...These tires were fantastic, quiet, comfortable, great grip dry and VERY sure-footed in rain and even medium deep snow...
Bought these to be "all-season" as I was tired of swapping to Blizzak's every winter. There aren't too many touchless tire change shops in my area and rim edge damage happens with each changeover. I was gambling as Cleveland can be unforgiving in Winter and sloppy in Fall and Spring. These tires were fantastic, quiet, comfortable, great grip dry and VERY sure-footed in rain and even medium deep snow. My wife commented after one week with them in snow and said she couldn't believe how much traction she had and how well the SUV stopped in snow/ice. Tires are always a compromise, but I couldn't find one here. These did everything very well or better. I will put these on my new Audi SQ5 and MB GLE350 as they are the best tires (All-Season or Winter) I've found for a sport SUV. I haven't driven them more that 12,000 so far with only moderate, expected treadwear, but they have kept their performance to date and don't see why they'd fall off with more miles. I'm 69 and have a number of performance cars over many years, I'd recommend these to anyone with an driving environment like CLE.

...Ride is quiet and smooth, and traction during rain is good...
After one month and a thousand miles, these tires are doing well and above expectations. Ride is quiet and smooth, and traction during rain is good. If they last 60k miles, no doubt that I will repurchase. Very happy so far. These tires replaced a set of noisy Michelin Defender T+H.

...These Goodyear Assurance tires do admirable in snowy conditions, for an all-season tire. Granted, they are not winter/snow tires, which would be better in the winter snow and ice, but, they do fine...
Best tire we have had on this older Honda Civic to date. Very comfortable tire with excellent handling and traction in both dry and wet conditions. These tires are holding up well for longevity, I expect to get at least the rated mileage out of them. I recommended these tires to two other friends with similar vehicles and they purchased them and love them as well. These Goodyear Assurance tires do admirable in snowy conditions, for an all-season tire. Granted, they are not winter/snow tires, which would be better in the winter snow and ice, but, they do fine. I recommend these tires.

I have these on my Saab 9-3 Convertible and my daughter per my recommendation has them on her Subaru Ascent which does get snow up in Framingham, Ma. I don't have many miles on them so far but their wet performance has been great, dry performance also very good. I may see snow once or twice a winter. Gas mileage dropped a little bit but it may be due to thicker tread compared to previous tires rolling resistance nearing wear indicators. The only time these tires seem off is crossing a metal grate on a drawbridge of which there are two in my area. Both vehicles wander left and right on these surfaces. Initial evaluation was that the car felt lighter on its feet if that is something to take into consideration.

...Smooth over most bumps, solid wet and dry traction...
About 3,000 miles on these and they have been great. Probably as quiet as a tire can be for my Camry. Smooth over most bumps, solid wet and dry traction. Never hydroplaned in these and I don't drive slow. Only thing that I can't comment on is tread ware or winter weather traction.

...In the dry and wet conditions I rate this tire as a 10 because it is the best performing tire I have ever used...
I have always been a summer tire / winter tire abuser in the past. I never thought I would stumble across an all season tire that performed this good. The tires I replaced were Michelin Pilot all seasons that came with this second hand car and I was not disappointed with there performance so I decided to replace them with a fresh set. When I saw the reviews and was offered the rebate on Tire Rack, I decided to give these Good Year Comfort Ride's a try. I only use these tires for summer use so I cannot attest to there performance in snow or ice. In the dry and wet conditions I rate this tire as a 10 because it is the best performing tire I have ever used. Extremely quiet like an 11 on a 1-10 scale. Be cautious driving in someone's blind spot, they will not hear you. The one other feature that is outstanding is there straight forward tracking ability. I find driving on the interstate so enjoyable now because the car just wants to drive straight. No fighting the wheel. I will add, this 2010 Honda Accord has 197 k miles with all original tie rods, ball joints, a-arms, and wheel bearings. My driving experience is 40 years of hooligan when I can. I highly recommend these tires to all drivers, your traveling speeds will increase 10 mph instinctually.

Amazed with the ride comfort and silence in the cabin. Quiet tire, comfortable tire and has shown to be resistant to potholes so far.

...They are now wonderfully quiet on the freeway and strike a fine balance between great ride comfort while still maintaining confident control of the vehicle and steering...
I have never bought a set of Touring or Grand Touring tires before, so I am more accustomed to the extra performance you get from ultra high performance tires. Because the car I am using these on is not high performance, I thought it would be a good idea to sacrifice some grip for additional ride comfort and road noise.
Initially after putting the tires on, they seemed a little noisy and the ride was a bit rough. After checking the air pressures, I put on some more miles to allow everything to settle in. They are now wonderfully quiet on the freeway and strike a fine balance between great ride comfort while still maintaining confident control of the vehicle and steering.
There is certainly less grip from these tires than I’m used to on UHP Summer and All-Season tires, but I welcome the comfort and refinement gained in the tradeoff. I am now a fan of Grand Touring tires and will choose them for any car that doesn’t get driven aggressively. Best of all, the Goodyears still feel dynamic and fun! (Albeit with less grip)

Most customers rate treadwear as excellent, with scores predominantly 9s and 10s. The Assurance ComfortDrive demonstrates long-lasting durability in all-season conditions, with many noting consistent wear patterns even after extended use. Some 7s suggest minor variability, but overall satisfaction remains high.

...If you need a quiet, comfortable tire with good treadwear that performs well in both wet and dry conditions...
These tires have met my expectations and have been a good fit for the car they're on. They have softer sidewalls, and while that does lead to a more comfortable ride, there's little to no "performance" in these tires. If you need a quiet, comfortable tire with good treadwear that performs well in both wet and dry conditions—and can handle a bit of light snow—this may be the tire for you. Just don't expect a quick turn-in or anything in the way of responsiveness. Again, for my Volvo XC70 wagon, they're a great fit.

There's has been very little wear, so if this continues, I expect to get approximately 75,000 miles out of these tires. My nephew who had the exact same set got 78,000 miles out of his and was very happy with this tire performance as well.
