Eagle F1 Supercar tires are Goodyear's Max Performance Summer tires developed for the drivers of select performance cars, like the Chevrolet Corvette C-5 Z06, Chrysler 300C SRT and Ford GT. Eagle F1 Supercar tires are designed to emphasize dry road traction and handling. Like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
Goodyear's warranty states: "Ultra high-performance summer tires are not recommended for winter use, and tread or shoulder cracking on those tires resulting from winter use will not be covered under our warranty."
Eagle F1 Supercar tires feature a high grip Goodyear AAtrax tread compound (the AAtrax name emphasizing that the Eagle F1 Supercar earns the highest "AA" Uniform Tire Quality Grade wet traction rating) molded into a slightly reduced tread depth (just 6/32" to 7/32" of new tread depth on Ford GT tires and 8/32" for Corvette tires) asymmetric tread design that combines large outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase initial steering response and cornering stability with a solid center rib to maintain constant road contact and enhance straight-line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves and smaller interior tread and shoulder blocks help water escape from between the tire and the road to maintain wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. The tire's structure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound Aramid to distribute the vehicle's load across the tire's footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Polyester body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.

Ratings Charts & Reviews Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar
Consumer experiences reveal the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar excels in dry traction, with scores consistently hitting 9-10 for sharp handling and grip, aligning with its max performance summer design. Wet traction shows variability, with ratings ranging 4-8: some praise its wet grip, but concerns arise around hydroplaning resistance in heavy rain. Comfort receives mostly 7-8 scores for ride quality, though noise levels split opinions. Treadwear is a notable weakness, with many ratings 4-6 indicating shorter lifespan than expected for a summer performance tire. Drivers prioritizing dry-road precision and cornering stability find it outstanding, but those needing all-weather confidence or long-term durability may have reservations.

Superior grip in cornering and dry traction straightaways." Wait, let me re-examine: " Superior grip in cornering and dry traction straightaways...
Superior grip in cornering and dry traction straightaways. I chose never to smoke them (hard to believe!). Perfectly balanced from Dodge factory as original equipment. Tires wear quickly, especially since I did mostly highway driving at high speeds.

These were OE on my SHO. When the tires were new, they were amazing! Lots of grip in corners. I had all the confidence in the world. At about 20,000mi their performance decreased drastically. They became loud and rough and hydroplaning was normal with small puddles. I cant say exact milage because I had snows on for 5 months, but at about 26,000mi, they are worn to the point they would not pass inspection. Great tire for about 15,000....if you can afford it.

I bought this set not for their longevity but for their performance. I was NOT disappointed at all. These tires are very confidence inspiring until you hit the wear bars. At just under 20K and I am looking to replace, which I had expected. This time I'm trying the Michelin Pilot Super Sport just so I can compare but would not hesitate getting the GY/F1s again.

Most customers rate the Eagle F1 Supercar's comfort between 7-10, highlighting excellent ride quality and noise control. High scores suggest it maintains a refined driving experience expected in max performance summer tires, with some noting minor trade-offs for its sporty focus.

Mixed wet traction scores (many 0-6) with frequent reports of hydroplaning and poor grip. Despite some 7-10 ratings, customers note slippery feel and mediocre wet performance, disappointing for a summer tire.

...They just plain ---- in rain, fog, snow, ice, leaf covered roads, roads at the beach with sand on them, etc...
I drive a 2016 Dodge Charger RT Scat Pack. It has been 'tweaked' and RWHP on the dyno is in excess of 521 HP. When I drive in a straight line in perfectly dry conditions on a pristine road surface, these F1's are an awesome tire. Sadly those perfect and ideal road conditions occur maybe 10 days of the year. My car has only 18,500 miles on it and the tires are sloppy and bouncy. The tread wear is poor despite rotating my tires at every oil change and never performing intentional burn outs. They just plain ---- in rain, fog, snow, ice, leaf covered roads, roads at the beach with sand on them, etc. I am finally switching from the F1's to the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06. Yes, there are trade offs going from summer season to all weather tires. But when you are tired of being out performed by a Yugo or a Pinto on bad weather days, you will likely make the switch away from these horrible tires. Really Goodyear, Super Car tires? More like Super ----y tires. I will never buy another Goodyear tire for a muscle car.

...they were completely terrible in wet/cold/snow/anything but warm dry road and it was beyond frustrating...
These were the tires from the factory and as I understand they are a bit softer than when purchased separately; but, I cannot fathom how they made a tire which was only able to get 17000 miles with rotation every 5k miles. Alignment wasn't perfect; but, not enough to cause excessive wear. Had them on my stock R/T Challenger for less than 2 years. I am highly disappointed. Add to that they were completely terrible in wet/cold/snow/anything but warm dry road and it was beyond frustrating. Honestly, I'm glad to be rid of them; but, would have appreciated at least 2x the lifespan of a tire.
Buyer Beware!

...8k on these tires and tread depth is at 6/32 and I almost died from hydroplaning when I got caught in the rain the other day...
I just want to start by saying, the only reason these tires come factory equipped on most of these sports cars is not because of their performance it is simply because Good Year wins the bid when the order is put in. There are many other summer Tires and all season tires that are similar and price if not cheaper with better all-around performance. These tires are excellent in high temperatures and high-speed straight-line driving. High grip= High treadwear. These tires come factory equipped on a lot of high performance sedans throughout the Midwest and it just makes no sense. The manufacturer claims that the warranty is void on these tires if driven near freezing temperatures. 8k on these tires and tread depth is at 6/32" and I almost died from hydroplaning when I got caught in the rain the other day. If you own a high performance car that you plan on driving only on hot summer days then this is a great Tire otherwise remove them.

Despite some 9s and 10s, numerous scores between 0-5 reveal rapid wear and disappointed customers. Frequent mentions of premature wear, early replacement, and treads wearing down faster than expected.

Only got 40,000 km on the vehicle, half of which winter tires were utilized. The Taurus SHO is by no means alight car, however, more treadlife was expected from the tires as they aren't driven aggressively by any means. The car is tuned and running around 350 ish AWHP,which may have lead to accelerated wear. Regardless, these tires won't be going back on. Look elsewhere for options other than this tire.

...the only issue i have is the treadwear got so bad after only 4000 miles on the front tires they dont even look like the same tires. im at a cross between replacing the front tires or just rotating them but i didnt want what they became to look like worn out tires as back tires. i have never had tires that wears out so fast...
Sounds Great ,Looks Great ..Brand New. To be fair, i have to say on my Range Rover this tire rides very smooth and is very responsive, the sidewalls are also thick enough to maintain stability and hard corners.. the only issue i have is the treadwear got so bad after only 4000 miles on the front tires they dont even look like the same tires. im at a cross between replacing the front tires or just rotating them but i didnt want what they became to look like worn out tires as back tires. i have never had tires that wears out so fast.. ..i may have to purchase 4 new tires of another brand.. This is very dissappointing because, ive always used smaller Goodyear tires for all my other vehicles with no problems
