Eagle F1 Supercar tires are Goodyear's Max Performance Summer tires developed for the drivers of select performance cars, like the Chevrolet Corvette C-5 Z06, Chrysler 300C SRT and Ford GT. Eagle F1 Supercar tires are designed to emphasize dry road traction and handling. Like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Goodyear's warranty states: "Ultra high-performance summer tires are not recommended for winter use, and tread or shoulder cracking on those tires resulting from winter use will not be covered under our warranty."

Eagle F1 Supercar tires feature a high grip Goodyear AAtrax tread compound (the AAtrax name emphasizing that the Eagle F1 Supercar earns the highest "AA" Uniform Tire Quality Grade wet traction rating) molded into a slightly reduced tread depth (just 6/32" to 7/32" of new tread depth on Ford GT tires and 8/32" for Corvette tires) asymmetric tread design that combines large outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase initial steering response and cornering stability with a solid center rib to maintain constant road contact and enhance straight-line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves and smaller interior tread and shoulder blocks help water escape from between the tire and the road to maintain wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. The tire's structure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound Aramid to distribute the vehicle's load across the tire's footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Polyester body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.

Goodyear Reviews

Consumer experiences reveal the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar excels in dry traction, with scores consistently hitting 9-10 for sharp handling and grip, aligning with its max performance summer design. Wet traction shows variability, with ratings ranging 4-8: some praise its wet grip, but concerns arise around hydroplaning resistance in heavy rain. Comfort receives mostly 7-8 scores for ride quality, though noise levels split opinions. Treadwear is a notable weakness, with many ratings 4-6 indicating shorter lifespan than expected for a summer performance tire. Drivers prioritizing dry-road precision and cornering stability find it outstanding, but those needing all-weather confidence or long-term durability may have reservations.

Outstanding tire in warm dry conditions. Cornering and straight line acceleration are fantastic. I have no problem with the wear as I have about 75% tread remaining after 5200 miles. Noise levels are the best of any tire I have had on this vehicle.

Now the bad. If you drive in a cold climate (below 50 degrees) these tires are marginal. In wet conditions they are terrible. I would not recommend these tires in cold or mostly wet conditions.

However, if you are in a dry area, mild to hot, you will not find a better performance tire.

...The Goodyear F1 Supercar tires stick very well in these race speed conditions, never chunk and grip very well when hot...

These tires are on a C5 Corvette which is a daily driver to and from work. On eight weekends per year these same tires are used on one of three road courses in South Florida to run "hot laps" with a local drivers club (Performanc Drivers Club, a NASA affiliated organization). The Goodyear F1 Supercar tires stick very well in these "race speed" conditions, never chunk and grip very well when hot. I believe that they may be the best tire for this outside of the "R compound" tires yet I can drive these to and from the track and never have to change them.

Superior grip in cornering and dry traction straightaways. I chose never to smoke them (hard to believe!). Perfectly balanced from Dodge factory as original equipment. Tires wear quickly, especially since I did mostly highway driving at high speeds.

I read-up on a few surveys of these tires and was a little dicouraged but, I knew GoodYear

made a Quality Tire and decided to give these tires a try anyway. I am completely satisfied. As well, these tires are not noisy or loud, unlike the tires from the factory or like I read in a survey. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

Tried the Supercar water evac tread design on the front of Corvette Z06 last time and was never satisfied. Put the original tread Supercars on again this time and noticed immediate improvement in cornering and high speed comfort. German Autobahn driving provides the opportunity to run at over 130 MPH for long distances, and have never felt like the car was loose or short of positive control with these tires on the car. Width does present challenge when water is standing and care must be exercised to avoid hydro-plane as with any wide tire on a light car. Only tire I would buy.

Mixed wet traction scores (many 0-6) with frequent reports of hydroplaning and poor grip. Despite some 7-10 ratings, customers note slippery feel and mediocre wet performance, disappointing for a summer tire.

These tires were a good choice for the car when I bought it as I wanted to have fun. But as things changed and I needed to do a little more highway driving, these became an absolute nightmare when it rained. They hydroplaned like no other, and any water on the road made for a white knuckle drive. I've pulled over a few times and waited storms out just so I could keep going without fear of sliding off the road. Needless to say I'll never buy these tires again. Although If you never intend to take the car out for a long drive or with the chance of rain then these are probably tires for you. Great cornering, and they sure are sticky when its dry.

...Also if the road was even damp, there was no traction. And hang on tight if there is standing water on the road, the car would become a giant surfboard!! These tires hydroplane extremely bad...

I mainly drive highway and county roads to work and back home. I utilize cruise control as much as I can to help get better gas milage. These F1 Supercar tires gave out after 15,000 miles for the rears. The fronts were replaced under partial warrenty at 10,000 miles because they showed cords on the outer edge. Still had to pay $98 per tire under the partial warrenty!! Also if the road was even damp, there was no traction. And hang on tight if there is standing water on the road, the car would become a giant surfboard!! These tires hydroplane extremely bad. I replaced with Nitto Invo's, what a difference! Cheaper, better grip, no hyrdoplaning, longer tread life, less road noise, and an ultra cool tread patern.

These Goodyear F1 Supercar tires were factory issue. Treadwear was horrendous whereas I replaced the tires just shy of 15,000 miles under moderately aggressive driving conditions. Cold weather traction was terrible at anything under 40 degrees. Warm weather performance was OK but became noisy and hard riding after about 3 years. Replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ all season tires and saw night & day improvement in traction, handling, and overall performance.

...The rear tires are down to the wear bars at less than 10K miles. The fronts look good for another 10K or more miles... the abnormally quick tread wear is not acceptable...

I bought these as a complete set just over a year ago. My wife mostly drives the car around town and a short commute to work. My driving is usually longer distance and primarily highway. The rear tires are down to the wear bars at less than 10K miles. The fronts look good for another 10K or more miles. I love the handling and wet traction of these tires but the abnormally quick tread wear is not acceptable. The BMW 540ia is a heavy car for its size and these tires are not a good choice for it.

...At 8500 miles and after taking my car in for annual inspection I was told they will need to be replaced around 10K miles (currently at 3/32 front and 4/32 rear after their 2nd rotation)... there is nothing so impressive about them to warrant another purchase considering the abysmal treadwear.

These were the OEM tires on my Charger. At 8500 miles and after taking my car in for annual inspection I was told they will need to be replaced around 10K miles (currently at 3/32 front and 4/32 rear after their 2nd rotation). While they handle fairly well in good conditions, there is nothing so impressive about them to warrant another purchase considering the abysmal treadwear.
