The Ultrac Pro is Vredestein's Max Performance Summer tire purpose-built for drivers of sports cars, coupes, and luxury vehicles looking for high speed thrills and precise handling in both dry and wet environments. The Ultrac Pro, like all Max Performance Summer tires, is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Utilizing a high-silica tread compound designed for traction and speed and molded into an asymmetric pattern, the Ultrac Pro blends performance with comfort. The sidewall design features a special flexible zone built to cushion the ride alongside adjustments to the tire's contour and AI-sequenced tread pitch to reduce noise so drivers can focus on a smooth journey. Taking advantage of both a low-void outboard shoulder and angled tread blocks that are designed to minimize deformation in cornering, the Ultrac Pro is made for hanging on through turns. On the inboard side, the wide, circumferential grooves flow water straight through the contact patch to fight hydroplaning and maintain performance.

Engineered to be stylish outside, with a unique "Chrono" sidewall design, and performance focused inside, the Ultrac Pro features a two-ply, rayon casing for strength and durability. Twin wide, steel belts join the nylon reinforcement ply for lightweight, yet dependable performance at the highest echelons of speed. The Ultrac Pro features dedicated all-wheel and rear-axle variations, with the all-wheel version focused on precise steering using a lower belt angle compared to the lower void ratio and wider belt angle on the rear-axle design.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle. Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. While compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

Wet traction earns consistent praise (8-10), with strong hydroplaning resistance and reliable wet-road stability. Comfort scores (7-10) reflect a refined, quiet ride, though a few note slightly firmer feedback at higher speeds. Treadwear ratings (7-10) suggest durable performance for a summer tire, with many users reporting minimal wear even after extended use. ...We recently experienced one of those storms and did not shy from testing these tires in heavy to moderate downpours. Wow! The handling is absolutely is top notch in the rain. I did not experience any hydroplanning in spots I normally would. The Ultrac Pro's are confidence inspiring in the rain and make driving in wet conditions fun and quite safe...

I was in need of replacing the oem 22" Pirelli P-Zero's. I was almost positive I'd replace the factory shoes with my regular go-to's, Michelin PS4's, but that was until I realized how expensive they were. I did some research and decided on the Vredestein Utrac Pro's. They were almost half the cost of PS4's!

Hoping I hadn't settled, I put the set of tires through it's paces after break-in. I am pleasantly surprised at their overall performance (in dry & wet conditions). More accurately, i am thoroughly impressed with these tires. The P-Zeros (factory) were ok but pretty uncomfortable and a tad too loud. I'm sure the 22" wheel size and the 30 tire profile has something to do with that. But that doesn't appear to be a detriment to the Ultrac Pro's as they're super comfortable and are very quiet/zero drone. You'd think performance would suffer, but it's quite the opposite. Tests and reviews have given these tires above average marks in handling in wet conditions, high marks in hydroplaning resistance, and average to above average in dry handling.

They're right about the hydroplaning, but in my experience so far the dry handling is excellent, as is cornering in dry. I live in So Cal so we dont have much of a winter season, except for the occasional heavy winter rain storm. We recently experienced one of those storms and did not shy from testing these tires in heavy to moderate downpours. Wow! The handling is absolutely is top notch in the rain. I did not experience any hydroplanning in spots I normally would. The Ultrac Pro's are confidence inspiring in the rain and make driving in wet conditions fun and quite safe.

All-around dry performance is also excellent! The downside is that I always want take the car for a spin, and volunteer to take care of errands. The tires are that good! I'm trying not to put a ton of miles on my car but it's a blast to drive!

...They're VERY similar to the class leaders (PS4s & Extreme Contact Sports) in terms of dry and wet grip. I think you'd be hard pressed to feel a significant different between these and the Michelins and Contis...

Great tire that’s comparable to a PS4s and Extreme Contact Sport. Incredible value given, at the time of my purchase, it was cheaper than Indy 500s with the rebate and significantly cheaper than PS4s and Extreme Contact Sports. I’ve run them on my Stage 1 (high torque) 2016 GTI and they’ve been nothing short of great.

I’ve run the following tires on my car from new until they were bald (20k+ miles).
1. Michelin PS4s
2. Continental Extreme Contact Sport
3. Pirelli P Zero
4. Firestone Indy 500s

I drive aggressively on NorCal backroads and already put 12k+ miles on these tires. My experience mirrors the Euro Journalists / Tire Reviewers. They’re VERY similar to the class leaders (PS4s & Extreme Contact Sports) in terms of dry and wet grip. I think you’d be hard pressed to feel a significant different between these and the Michelins and Contis. I found them to be better in terms of road noise and comfort (also what the Euro reviewers mention).

I’m a fan for life and will recommend these to any car enthusiasts.

Quiet, comfortable, responsive tire in wet and dry conditions, and costs less than half of its closest competitor. This review is for a staggered set (245/35/20 & 285/30/20) on a '24 Tesla M3P, This tire is one of the best replacement summer tires I've driven to date, and I'd highly recommend them to those looking for a dedicated, high performance summer tire, as they outperform their direct competitors at a much better price point.

...Quiet and comfortable...

I have had these tires on my car for 1 year, about 5000 miles. I drive mainly in dry conditions. I find them very similar to my previous Michelin PS4S. I don't track or race them. Excellent wet and dry traction. Quiet and comfortable. Good tire wear thus far. Would buy again.

Bought the Vredesteins (staggered sizes) to replace Michelin Pilot Sport 4S set. Vredestein pros: *tread wear *sport/comfort balance *lower noise (compared to loud Michelins). Vredestein cons (compared to Michelins): *Not as lively, especially with turn-in *less feel.

Basically Vredesteins are truly solid, ---- fine tires. Always feel secure and surprisingly comfortable. To be fair, the Michelins were a real joy when driven hard -- they made the big Lexus feel like it could pounce and confidence inspiring. But the Pilots were also exhausting in the city and urban highways, both noisy and overly sensitive to road irregularities. The Vredesteins just handle these things with more solidity and ease. The Lexus feels more sturdy and easy to drive quickly, simply less direct but always robust.

In sum my wife is much, much happier with the Vredesteins. For me, the balance needed for everyday driving is very good.

...Great treadwear and very good grip in the dry...

These are the best tires for the Emira if you are interested more in spirited road driving. They resist hydroplaning much better than the two OEM options and give the car that nimble light feeling that is still connected. Great treadwear and very good grip in the dry. Excellent noise abatement as well. Would not recommend them for the track as the steering precision is a bit more dull than the OEM Cup2s. All around, the best road tire for this car hands down.

Better road feel than Pilot Sport+ Good traction and cornering. Awaiting treadwear assessment, hoping for 18K...as my Pilots' generally show at 18-20K . As they are substantially cheaper will try to adopt.

You want a summer tire, but again, which summer category? In this special demonstration, we took six all-season tires from three all-season categories and three summer tires from two summer categories to lay it out for you. Category-leading tires from the Standard Touring All-Season, Grand Touring All-Season, Ultra High Performance All-Season, Max Performance Summer, and Extreme Performance Summer categories are tested so you can see exactly what each "step up" gets you as a driver and what trade-offs were made along the way.
