Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

High Performance All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sporty appearance, predictable handling and H- or V-speed rated durability along with all-season traction, including in light snow. High Performance All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans.

O.E. High Performance All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Firestone Reviews

User feedback reveals the Firestone FR740 delivers excellent dry traction (scores 8-10) with responsive handling and confident cornering, aligning well with its high-performance all-season design. Wet traction shows mixed results, with some customers noting hydroplaning concerns and inconsistent grip (scores 3-7). Ride comfort receives criticism for harshness and road noise (scores 0-8), while treadwear ratings vary widely-many praise durability (scores 8-10), but others report premature wear (scores 0-5). While dry performance stands out, buyers prioritizing wet weather capability or long-term value may want to weigh these trade-offs carefully.

...Dry traction was very good with nothing negative to mention...

These tires came OEM on my new 2015 Toyota Corolla S. I had never driven Firestone tires before so had no idea what to expect. I experienced some hydroplaning in heavy rain and never trusted the tires in wet weather after that but had no significant issues. Dry traction was very good with nothing negative to mention. The tires were not quiet and became even louder and not as smooth as they accumulated more wear. The treadwear on this particular set of tires was phenomenal, at least based on my experience. I replaced them at 80,000 miles with tread still left. I did rotate the tires every 5,000 miles and the greatest majority of driving was open highway for a 100 mile one way commute four days a week. I replaced them with Cooper Zeon RS3-G1s. We'll see how these do.

...I almost never hear them squeal, and this is on a Corolla S- hardly a high-performance sports car suspension!...

In my opinion, this tire suffers from the same thing as other popular OE fitments: guys like to be critical of whatever the manufacturer put on the car and they want new, more interesting tires.

These tires came on a 2013 Corolla S I bought a while back. My first thought was, they must be cheap because the factory installs them and that's what this dealer chose to put on this lease turn-in. But I decided to give them a chance.

I've been amazed. Although they are a W rated tire, they ride smoother than many H rated tires I have owned. The tread pattern is pretty aggressive yet not very noisy compared to other W and H rated tires I have had from Michelin and Yokohama. I almost never hear them squeal, and this is on a Corolla S- hardly a high-performance sports car suspension! In rain, they are predictable and stable. I have not driven in much snow or ice but the few times I did, they were likewise solid and predictable. I notice folks often give a tire a very bad rating for snow or ice (a 1 or 2) as if any loss of traction means the tire failed. This is unreasonable. A studded snow tire is one thing; but an all-season tire cannot truly stick in ice, the best you can ask for is some warning when it's losing grip and some confidence in getting it back. These tires gave me exactly that and that's why I gave them good ratings for those conditions.

I recently traded in the 2013 for a new 2017 Corolla SE and was pleased to find the same tires on this car.

Wet traction ratings show concerning scores between 0-6, with many customers disappointed by slippery handling and tendency to hydroplane. Even some higher scores (7-10) can't mask mediocre wet performance for a High Performance All-Season tire.

These are some scary tires in wet conditions. They have a tendency to hydroplane at 55mph when you hit even the slightest amount of standing water on the highway. These are some scary tires in wet conditions. They have a tendency to want to hydroplane at 55mph when you hit even the slightest amount of standing water on the highway. My wife has had the traction control light come on in the rain once and we have both noticed the car wanting to get squirrelly in the rain. If you buy a Corolla with them factory you will want to replace them if you have had experience driving with higher end tires. I wouldn't feel safe with them in the winter if they feel this unsafe in rain! My wife is not a spirited driver and usually doesn't notice things like this but she picked up on it like a bad habit! Buyer beware!!

These tires are loud at all speeds, scary in wet conditions. They had little traction in light snow causing panic in the wife and me on the highway...

These tires came new on my 2017 Honda Fit, and I've driven less than 10,000 miles with these tires on. These tires are loud at all speeds, scary in wet conditions. They had little traction in light snow causing panic in the wife and me on the highway. I've driven on summer tires that had better handling in wintry conditions than these tires. I will fairly consistently lose traction when accelerating from a stop in all conditions if I am not extremely careful with my clutch control. This happens with my very conservatively driving wife on dry roads as well.

I would NOT recommend these tires to anyone as you can purchase tires with a higher level of comfort and (especially) control in the same price range if not cheaper. Piece of mind is forcing me to buy new tires after only four months in this new car.

These are the OEM tires on my CPO Corolla and they are the harshest, hardest, loudest tires I've ever had. Dry performance is better than average, but in the rain they might as well be slicks. The tires are the originals, and the wear it outstanding, but the performance isn't there.

Avoid these tires if you plan to drive in snow!

...With even a dusting of snow traction lessens significantly and requires very careful driving. Definitely not recommended for driving in anything greater than an inch of snow cover...

These are the tires that came on my new 2016 Honda Fit EX.

I love the car, but these tires provide a very firm harsh ride and very poor traction on wet roads or snow covered roads. With even a dusting of snow traction lessens significantly and requires very careful driving behaviors. Definitely not recommended for driving in anything greater than an inch of snow cover. Traction even on dry roads is acceptable if you drive carefully, but if you've got a heavy foot you'll likely burn through these tires quickly.

Initially, when the tires were new, the ride was acceptable, but the ride becomes increasingly very harsh and noisy as the tread wears. Although I've only worn 50% of the tread life, I'm looking forward to replacing them soon.

These tires came on my 2015 Corolla S. I live in Wisconsin and drive in snow. These are HORRIBLE tires in snow, light or heavy. I wanted new tires by the time I hit 20k but decided to hold out as long as I could. At 30k the car would barely go straight through the snow. Luckily the season was almost over and I decided to make them last through the non snow months. I am now getting new tires before this new winter. These are fine for no snow. But definitely don¿t last long. Fine summer tire for the first 20k. Don¿t waste your money on these

...These tires are noisy as heck. Even worse they are incredibly uncomfortable tires. You will feel EVERY bump in the road...

I agree with the reviews here. These tires came OEM from Toyota.

First the good.

Traction wise these tries do great in rain and snow. No problems there. So from a safety perspective they are great.

Now the bad.

These tires are noisy as heck. Even worse they are incredibly uncomfortable tires. You will feel EVERY bump in the road. Even on a perfectly smooth looking road you will find and feel bumps no other tire would. While I gave it high scores for traction, for noise and comfort it gets a 0.

Will not recommend this tire and would not buy after market.

...Noise and comfort, heh, well these tires are horrible!!! I will not buy them again for that reason.

These came stock on my new 2015 Toyota Corolla S. It is a decent tire as far as traction and treaswear. I have 60k miles on them, they have been rotated every 5k by toyota but they definitely need replaced now, actually prob about 5k ago. Traction wet and dry is pretty good when they were new, wet traction definitely slipped pretty fast after about 20k miles. Only had to drive it twice in snow and it wasn't horrible or great. Noise and comfort, heh, well these tires are horrible!!! I will not buy them again for that reason.

...Noisy, rough, no wet traction and no snow traction...

OEM tires on the Corolla S Plus and S Premium. Absolutely garbage. Noisy, rough, no wet traction and no snow traction. Short lived. Pricey for the subpar results and performance. Dry traction unimpressive. Easily the worst tires I've experienced in nearly twenty years of driving. Anyone praising these is either a shill or has never experienced truly good tires. Try Yokohama Avid Ascend GT for Grand Touring comfort and all-weather performance or Continental Extreme Contact Ultra High Performance All Season tires for highly refined and delightful performance if you live anywhere there's actual weather and want to have some fun. The Conti's are phenomenal.

...It is an OEM brand tire, but it WEARS OUT SUPER FAST!!! I drive very easy, and the tires have a mere 29K on them. They are down to the wear bars...

The FIRESTONE FR740 tires are tires I would NEVER BUY again. Firestone outdid themself on the CHEAPNESS of this tire. It is an OEM brand tire, but it WEARS OUT SUPER FAST!!! I drive very easy, and the tires have a mere 29K on them. They are down to the wear bars. What a waste of resourcs to produce a tire, ship it, have it installed, and then within 30K have to replace it. FYI, there is NOT a mileage warranty, the warranty is if there is a defect down to 2/32" of wear (aka the wear bars) then they will pro-rate the tires remaining value toward new ones. Whoopi! You still get to pay for mounting and balancing, and end up with the same cheap tire again. I always actually like Firestone, but after this set they are off the list completely. The tires ride ok and wore evenly but QUICK WEAROUT, but that is about all the good I can say about them. I think 4 donuts would last longer, and I am not joking on that. TERRIBLE. Did I mention these tires are junk? Firestone, wake up. You just lost a lifelong customer by being cheap. It is amazing to think these cost around $40 more per tire than ones that are far superior to them. JUNK FIRESTONE, I'd be ashamed to sell this product.

Well these came on my car when I bought it, a 2015 Toyota Corolla S. The ride ----s, the traction could be better, the road noise is horrible, the tread life is laughable, and I really would enjoy removing these tires from my car, setting them on fire, and watching them smoke and burn until nothing is left of them. If there's a bump in the road, or a pebble, you'll know because these tires will jolt the entire suspension and chassis in such a way that it feels like your rim must have been damaged. They truly absorb next to nothing. In the rain I lose all confidence in the cars ability to maintain grip, even with traction control. Just checked my tread depth today and found after 19,000 miles, that I have only 4/32" on the rear tires and 3/32" on the front tires. They come with 10/32" new and I've only had the car for 1 1/12 years. Seriously, if Toyota didn't put these pieces of crap on the car stock, I believe Firestone wouldn't have sold many of these at all.
