Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires are for drivers who want a combination of sophisticated low-profile tires/large rim diameter wheels to enhance their vehicle's appearance with all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD light- and medium-duty crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers Say

User experiences show the Toyo A36 delivers a smooth, quiet ride with many praising its comfort (scores 7-10). However, rapid tread wear is a common concern, with some reporting disappointing tread life. Winter traction receives mixed feedback-decent in light snow but struggles on ice. Wet performance shows adequate grip but hydroplaning resistance varies, with some noting reduced confidence in heavy rain. Dry traction stands out as a strength, offering confident handling and stability (scores 8-10). While suitable for all-season touring, those prioritizing longevity or frequent winter driving may find limitations.

...They are impressive in taking corners and tight sweeping turns. Quite enjoyable!...

I worried a little when I saw Toyos on my new cx5 because I considered them an off brand and I have had little luck with those. Usually such
tires are good for a few thousand miles, lose balance, wear out and then need to be replaced with Michelins. I am pleasantly surprised that these Toyos
are performing extremely well and show little wear. I think I will be able to get 40k out of them and would definitely buy them again. They
are impressive in taking corners and tight sweeping turns. Quite enjoyable!

...I like the firm ride, and the tire tread is holding up well...

When we purchased our 2019 CX5 my wife and I were originally disappointed to hear that they came with Toyo A36 tires because we were not too pleased with the A23 tires that came with our 2015 Mazda CX 5. Those were across the board mediocre at best and frequently lost air on all four tires. So given that experience I was not optimistic and was prepared to endure the A36 until they were ready to be replaced with something else. Anyway,22,000 miles plus later, I must say these tires are head and heels better than the old A23s in every way possible. I have not yet driven in deep snow yet but they did not disappoint in any other category thus far. I like the (not too) firm ride, and the tire tread is holding up well. For someone who loves to shop and by new tires frequently (from Tire Rack) I might actually buy these again, especially if the tread wear holds up and if they perform well in deep snow.

...In general, these tires are comfortable, display minimal tread noise, and handle well...

Came as stock tire on new car. My Cx5 has been used for several trips exceeding 2000+ round trip miles. In general, these tires are comfortable, display minimal tread noise, and handle well. They weren't to bad in the snow when new. Tire pressure is critical as their personality changes significantly with a 2 to 3 psi over or under Mazda's recommended pressure. The downside, the tires wore very quickly. At 23K miles the fine siping is nearly gone so the tires are now struggling in wet conditions and light snow. All the tires have worn evenly (no alignment or balance issues) and will have to be replaced soon.

...But the tires' true colors become obvious in wet or snowy conditions. They are scary in the wet and terrifying in snow...

These were the original equipment tires on the CX-5. They seem to be engineered to provide a comfortable, quiet ride. Beyond doing that, they are the worst tires I have ever owned. The traction on dry roads is only fair--the front tires will often squeal under even minimal acceleration. But the tires' true colors become obvious in wet or snowy conditions. They are scary in the wet and terrifying in snow. I have dedicated winter tires, so these tires experience light snow only in the late fall or early spring. Even at that, they cannot handle any slick pavement. We endured them for 20,000 miles and then replaced them with a set of Michelin Cross Climate2s, even though there was plenty of tread left. The difference is night and day. I can't understand why Mazda equips a nice SUV with such dangerous, subpar tires.

...Dry traction is merely OK while wet traction is below average. Hydroplaning resistance is fair but honestly I'm afraid to push this tire hard enough to chance exceeding its limits...

This is my second set of A36. Both came as standard on Mazda CX-5s. Overall, this is at best a mediocre and overpriced tire. Dry traction is merely OK while wet traction is below average. Hydroplaning resistance is fair but honestly I'm afraid to push this tire hard enough to chance exceeding its limits. After about 50% wear (15k to 20k miles) they get noisy, hard and unbalanced. My first set got 30k miles, this set miraculously went 48k. I get regular alignments, rotations and am careful about tire pressure, especially in very hot or cold weather. Mazda could do so much better for the price. I get that they want a Japanese brand tire on a Japanese car, but they must buy these for $20 each to make the disastrous decision to put such a crummy tire on a nice car. I've been using General Altimax RT43 and now Altimax RT45 on cars for years and years with great results. Same price range as the Toyo A36 but a much better tire.

These were the original equipment tire on our 2022 CX5. They are quite possibly the worst tires I have had to experience on the many, many cars I've owned. They are quiet enough when new, but quickly deteriorate into obnoxiously loud once they start to wear. For reference, our dedicated winter tires are far more quiet. The comfort over bumps is average. The scary part of these tires is their wet performance. Once they have a few thousand KMs on them, they quickly become dangerous in anything more than a light drizzle. Major hydroplane danger. Wet grip was also poor, as the vehicle would slide VERY easily on wet pavement. Useless in snow or ice if you are unlucky to get caught in a late spring snow. Tread life was highly disappointing, as they were completely toast after one summer season and had to be thrown out when the winters went on. Would not recommend these tires to my worst enemy. Shame on Mazda for even equipping these tires of terror in the first place.

Original tread depth: 10.2/32. Measured tread depth at 10,200 miles: 6/32. This is unacceptable...

Original OEM supplied tires. Horrible tread wear: Original tread depth: 10.2/32" (per mfg). Measured tread depth at 10,200 miles: 6/32". This is unacceptable. Mediocre to poor snow/ice performance despite the "M+S" designation. Due to Colorado law (tread depth requirement 3/16" on I-70), I now have to get new tires after only 10,000 miles of mostly highway miles! I would never buy these. I definitely don't recommend them.

I figured them to last at least 40k being on the grand touring edition, but these are barely making it to 25k before they wore right out, definitely would not recommend, they are the super low-end tires.

Typical basic OEM tire performance. Not bad as far as everyday driving, no issues in all driving conditions. Treadwear on the other hand is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Brought my car into the dealer for an oil change and was informed after 18K SHORT miles that the tires should be replaced, I seriously thought it was a joke. 2 tires at 4/32 the other two at 3/32. With such low miles I honestly never looked at them, when I did, I was shocked! Contacted Toyo, they begrudgingly offered a small, prorated credit (since these tires have NO warranty), but I would have to buy more Toyo tires, No Thanks! I have NEVER had tires wear out that fast, even decades ago as a kid when I would drive very aggressively, I think I had a set of Pirellis wear out around 30K. I'll keep driving on them until late Autumn before winter sets in, I don't put many miles on anyway and it's all local driving. Pathetic wear on these Toyo's, I've had other tires from them in the past and was happy with them, these A36's are a complete joke!
