The Celsius II is Toyo's Grand Touring All-Season tire engineered for drivers of sedans, CUVs, and SUVs looking for a versatile platform able to adapt to a variety of conditions while providing a smooth, quiet ride. The Celsius II meets industry severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and as an all-weather tire, is designed to be a single tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.

Celsius II callouts

The Celsius II's updated polymer blend is molded into an asymmetric tread pattern to provide optimal performance in variable conditions. The outside portion of the pattern features larger, more solid tread elements and carefully positioned multi-wave sipes to improve dry traction while minimizing irregular wear. The full-Silica compound is designed to enhance performance when the weather turns wetter and has been optimized for snow, maintaining flexibility and grip in cold climates. The Celsius II's inner tread features zigzag tread blocks and high sipe density to provide the necessary biting edges for grip in snowy or icy conditions, and snow claws buried in the tire's circumferential grooves dig into snow to maintain traction.

Internal construction of the Celsius II features a high-stiffness polyester casing supporting two high-tensile steel belts for satisfying handling characteristics and stability. The nylon, jointless cap ply provides reinforcement to help maintain uniformity and provide high-speed performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Giving these a shot, I've not had any issues with dry, wet, or snow handling... Steering is good in the winter too and the tires feel very predictable in inclement weather...

I grew up with my parent's always buying Toyo tires for their vehicles. Dad always purchased Toyo M-55s for his truck and my Mom always had a variant of the Toyo Open Country ATs on her Suburban. We never had any wear issues or compromises from these tires so I figured I'd try the Celsius II on my Mazda CX50. Tires are expensive for the 20" wheels that come on these and while I've previously purchased Michelin CCs for my other vehicles, I couldn't stomach over $300 a tire. Giving these a shot, I've not had any issues with dry, wet, or snow handling. We get a lot less snow in my area than we used to so a decent set of all weather tires with AWD is more than enough to get me through the handful of snowy and icy days. I feel these tires do well on ice and I never had any issues in deep, slushy snow. Light snow it's like the snow isn't there. Steering is good in the winter too and the tires overall feel very predictable in inclement weather. Road noise is somewhere in the middle of a little noisy and not too bad. Overall, happy with my choice. At 10,000 miles all tires have roughly 8-9/32nds of tread remaining.

...The tires handle and maintain traction well under wet conditions...

I picked this tire when my wife's Audi A3 convertible needed new tires and she's very happy with them for highway trips and errands. The tires are very quiet. They make her feel secure because the tires grip well while turning and when braking. The tires handle and maintain traction well under wet conditions. They're a good value as well. These tires have impressed us to the point that I will buy the same tire (or the sport version) for my VW when I need new all-season tires.

...Amazing traction in light to medium snow. It's nearly as good as a dedicated snow tire. The tires feel grippy and predictable when sliding in snow, not scary at all...

Biggest pro: Amazing traction in light to medium snow. It’s nearly as good as a dedicated snow tire. The tires feel grippy and predictable when sliding in snow, not scary at all. They do well on wet roads too. Perfect year-round tire here in Utah. It’ll make your 2WD car outperform any AWD car equipped with regular all-seasons.

Biggest con: the soft compound combined with the tall tread blocks (like 12/32”) hurt the dry handling characteristics a bit. Quick steering inputs feel a bit numb. The tire squirms a lot when cornering aggressively. But this gets better over time as the tread blocks wear down and get shorter. This is to be expected though, out of this type of tire.

These tires are unreal!
Purchased these tires prior to winter as they were said to be good on snow and ice. I was tired of switching between all-seasons and snows every year. So far these tires have performed better on snow and ice than my last set of dedicated snow tires. If treadware holds up these will be my go to tire for everything going forward.

...I have driven on them in dry conditions, and they have performed well in those situations too...

Bought these tires in October in preparation for driving in cold, long, snowy, Wisconsin winters. I drive a SS Camaro in the summer and store it in winter. I got these tires for the 98 Buick I had just bought as my winter driver. These tires have performed very well in all of the snow we have gotten so far this year. I have driven on them in dry conditions, and they have also performed well in those situations too. There is a bit of tire harmonics that are not as quiet as I would prefer, but it is not over whelming. As far as tire wear goes, I have not put enough miles on them to determine how well they will do in that category. Overall, I would recommend these tires, especially for the price, to anyone who asked me.

excellent traction under all conditions, particularly in the cold with a tradeoff for noise. The carcass isn't afraid to resonate and hum to road defects, it's noticeable but not objectionable. On smooth roads, the tread noise is subdued (but not silent) to match. Ride is controlled but sidewalls are on the soft side when it comes to steering response and rebound under cornering. It's a balanced all-season snow-performing tourer.

...The ones I have on now are significantly quieter and more comfortable than the stock tires...

I wasn't certain how I wanted to rate these. All I can say is, these All-Weather tires are far better in the winter than your regular All-Seasons and they can stay on your car all year. I bought the same tires for another car I had many years ago. The ones I have on now are significantly quieter and more comfortable than the stock tires. You do sacrifice some tread life, and they're not as good as dedicated winter tires in the winter, but they work really well, and you don't have to change them out at the end of the season. Minnesota has extreme temperature fluctuations in the winter so having tires that work well on either an icy winter's day or a warm winter's day is nice to have.

...They are pleasant tires to ride on, compliant to steering input with a smooth and not too noisy ride...

I bought these tires with high hopes and expectations for an all-round all year tire. I had hoped with the 60k mile rating, starting in the fall (9/23) I would get two full years out of them, expecting some diminished winter performance for the second year, and less wet weather performance for the second summer. This would be an ideal tire if they proved themselves capable. I purposely drive my truck gently, both to get the best gas mileage I can and to make the truck last. With gentle driving, I can't comment much on tire performance at any limit beyond easy driving. I just never really pushed these tires. They were rotated every 5k miles with oil changes.
In the first winter, I was impressed with the capabilities of the tire in the snow. They are very pleasant tires to ride on, compliant to steering input with a smooth and not too noisy ride. By spring I was noticing the rapid wear. By summers end I was concerned. Now, at the start of winter of the first full year I'm doubtful they will be inspectable come January, nevermind very effective in the snow. With 19k miles on them today (12/1/24) they have 4 to 6/32nds tread left, and are okay, but marginal in the few inches of snow that has fallen. No way will they last until next fall, as I'd hoped. Unless this tires price was reduced to match the actual wear miles and not the advertised expected wear, I probably won't buy them again, even though I like the tire in general.

...Best part is, the traction on snow and ice does not deminish as the tread wears...

This tire is a game changer because I use them year round, so no need to store and swap tires every six months in NE Ohio. Best part is, the traction on snow and ice does not deminish as the tread wears. I had these tires on a Subaru Legacy sedan, and it plowed through any weather conditions.

I haven't put enough miles on to really know the tread life, but I will take more traction over tread life.

I got this tire since I live in the Sierra Nevadas by Tahoe. I like to ski and my son is an instructor at a ski resort. This year has had a lot of mixed snow, ice, slush and these tires hold really well. In an open area of ski resort parking lot I would push the tires to know who they would let go and they took a lot before loosing traction. I haven't put enough miles on to really know the tread life, but I will take more traction over tread life.
