The Extensa HP II is Toyo's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes, and performance sedans looking for a balanced blend of dry and wet handling, ride comfort, and style combined with all-season traction, even in light snow.
The Toyo Extensa HP II is molded into a directional pattern with large outer tread blocks for enhanced dry traction and handling. Double and single-cut tapers in the tread blocks improve block stiffness and facilitate optimum road contact for cornering stability. Two full-depth circumferential grooves and V-shaped lateral voids combine to evacuate water and slush to the shoulder slots for hydroplaning resistance. 3-D multi-wave sipes provide additional biting edges for traction in wet and slippery conditions.
The Toyo Extensa HP II's internal construction consists of two steel belts atop a two-ply polyester casing. A nylon reinforcement ply further stabilizes the tread to provide high-speed handling and durability.

...Factory tires were bad for hydroplaning, this does not happen with these tires. Grip is tight and no tire roll when cornering.

...Wet traction also is quite goodcompared to the Riken Raptors I had previously, which were terrible in the wet...
I've been pleased with these running them on the rear only, as they were out of stock when I desperately needed to replace my front tires. Compared to the Kumho's on the front, there is much less sidewall flex when cornering and better dry traction. Wet traction also is quite good compared to the Riken Raptors I had previously, which were terrible in the wet.
I have not run them in snow because I bolt on my Blizzaks on snowy days.

...They look great, ride great in both dry and wet... Handling is very good in both dry and wet. I've hit some deep puddles at speed but never felt like I lost contact with the road...
These were my first ever Toyo tires and I have been very pleasantly surprised. They look great, ride great in both dry and wet. Unfortunately there is no snow or ice in SW Florida. Handling is very good in both dry and wet. I've hit some deep puddles at speed but never felt like I lost contact with the road.
Overall I'd rate these tires very good and they were far from the most expensive tire in my size, another positive.
Given everything, I'd most definitely get these again.
Most customers give dry traction 9s and 10s, praising responsive handling and confident grip. Some scores between 7-8 note reliable performance, aligning with Ultra High Performance All-Season expectations.

...They have performed extremely well on dry road conditions. They also hook and grip really well considering my vehicle is front wheel drive...
I have driven on these tires for over 1200 miles. They have performed extremely well on dry road conditions. They also hook and grip really well considering my vehicle is front wheel drive. The road noise is pretty poor I must say, but personally it doesn’t bother me because I’m a freak for performance and I can sacrifice some road noise and comfort for the performance. I would say over all these tires are absolutely amazing for daily driving and perform well in inclement weather as well and for the price, they are well worth it. I haven’t had them long enough to determine tread wear but I have heard great things about Toyos overall. 9/10 tire!!!

I haven’t had to buy tires for a long time and I’ve had these in mine for my next set for a while. I was looking for a tire with good handling capabilities, a decent mileage rating, and at a fair price. My experience in the first couple thousand miles has been really positive. The dry traction is good, not great. But I will say, these tires make it feel like it’s not even raining when it is, and id say that and their mileage rating makes them a great buy.

...They stay really consistent in grip throughout... They are great on the street thou I can't hear the tires over the exhaust lol...
Really good tire for the money when you need a 500 tread wear tire. We are in Colorado where the temps change drastically from morning to afternoon and our track PPIR runs in all weather conditions. They stay really consistent in grip throughout. We have them on 2 CRX's and 1 SN95 Mustang with equally good results. They are great on the street thou I can't hear the tires over the exhaust lol. Hope that helps.

...during non-snow weather they are the best tire ive ever had for comfort and noise.
so i have 10's on all DRY categories. noise and comfort as well. wet is around a 5, light snow 4, and downward from there. reminder these are directional tires and come marked as such. i bought with a rim package and they were mounted already. i live in IL and this snowy weather just makes them sketchy and i know they arent made for snow but it does say "all season". light snow they are OK but beyond that be prepared to be the slow guy on the road is all lol. all drivers are pretty cautious. during non-snow weather they are the best tire ive ever had for comfort and noise.

...treadwear is awesome
This was a warranty replacement to match, wasn't available thru tire rack after a year, went above and beyond for the warranty, treadwear is awesome.
...The tread life I got out of these tires shocked me, for only being rated 500 I still had significant amount of tread left when I got rid of the car!...
These were my last set of tires on my old 17 Sentra. They handled great almost everywhere, I even had them on gravel roads and they handled well. The tread life I got out of these tires shocked me, for only being rated 500 I still had a significant amount of tread left when I got rid of the car! I would definitely buy again.

I bought these because my previous favorite was discovered and moved upscale in price and I was a little disappointed in wear.
Had these mounted and immediately started a 1500 mile trip . I was very pleasantly surprised by eet traction and hydroplane resistance. Encountered intense south Florida squalls and had zero issues at full highway speeds.
Noise seems to be no -existent as well. On recently paved roads these tires are silent. On exposed aggregate pavement these guys are pretty quiet.
These are my first ever Toyos and thus far I'm impressed.
Customers report mixed winter traction, with snow and deep snow scores mostly 7-10 but ice traction often rated 0-5. While some praise snow performance, others note significant ice handling concerns.

...These have me sliding around corners and avoiding the smallest of water collections on the road. That's a dangerous thing to do when living in Florida.
I wanted Dunlap tires and was unable to find a replacement for a reasonable price so I went with these. Now with less than 1000 miles on them I'm likely going to take them off and replace them with Dunlap rubber from whomever I can buy them from. These have me sliding around corners and avoiding the smallest of water collections on the road. That's a dangerous thing to do when living in Florida.

DO NOT get these tires if you live in an area with wet conditions. These tires have no traction in the wet. First day I got them on my miata I lost traction going around a corner (slowly). I also had four of these on my 2011 WRX. On the wrx in dry conditions they were phenomenal. But once it got a little wet out I could feel all four tires lose traction periodically

these tires are pretty good, however the traction when accelerating on damp or wet roads from a stop leaves a lot to be desired. I have to slip the clutch in my 4 cylinder Honda Accord just to keep them from spinning even if the road is only slightly damp...
