The Turanza EL400-02 and Turanza EL400 w/UNI-T are Bridgestone's Standard Touring All-Season tires developed to meet the Original Equipment and replacement tire needs of drivers for their sporty coupes, sedans and vans. Turanza EL400 tires are designed to provide a luxury appearance, long wear and responsive handling along with dry, wet and year-round traction, even in light snow.

Bridgestone's Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technology (UNI-T) features three core elements: CO'CS, a Computer Optimized Component System which allows design and manufacturing processes to work more cooperatively, leading to a more effective tire that doesn't significantly sacrifice one area of performance for improvements in another; O-Bead, a rounder bead structure that minimizes overlapped joints in the bead area for improved ride; and L.L. Carbon (Long Link Carbon) which helps the rubber compound resist microscopic tread tearing related to wear.

On the outside, Turanza EL400 tires features their tread rubber compound molded into a symmetric tread design with straight circumferential grooves to balance dry and wet road traction with noise comfort and hydroplaning resistance. On the inside, the Turanza EL400 features twin steel belts for strength and stability with a polyester cord body to enhance ride comfort.

*Specific sizes featuring UNI-T technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Why Gamble With Winter Tire Selection When Four of a Kind Always Beats Two Pair?(01:56)

Some drivers still doubt the industry's requirement for equipping front-wheel drive vehicles with matching winter tires all the way around. To address those doubts and demonstrate what can happen when mixed tires reach their limits on hard-packed snow and ice, we did some tests at our local skating rink.

...Water traction is fantastic, I have no idea when people write it's not good. I have tons of sipping and drive careful and never had it slip...

This tire is simply incredible! I would buy again. It’s very quiet, almost difficult to even notice the sound unless I’m looking for it . I am driving a Standard load version, took about 1-2.5 oz to balance each tire! Butter smooth in the roads. It truly feels like a highway tire but with the advantages of the all terrain. I couldn’t be happier. Toyo made a great tire with this one. Sidewall looks cool and mild aggressive patterns. I super dig the style and tread. Water traction is fantastic, I have no idea when people write it’s not good. I have tons of sipping and drive careful and never had it slip. A+++ tire! It’s the best fit for my 2019 tundra I’ve ever found.

...It has much better wet traction also...

I really like fact that the road noise is down to a minimum compared to the BFG KO2. It has much better wet traction also. I did notice that I lost some gas mileage, which is weird since I went from a E load rated tire to a C load rated tire. All in all I am very happy with my purchase.

Purchased these tires to replace the OEM Firestone Destinations on my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Noticed much improved dry and wet traction with these Toyo OC ATIII versus the Firestone Destinations I've had. Looking forward to seeing how they do in the Pittsburgh winter this year.

...I noticed in snow when turning into may begin to slide but straighten back up and it grabs immediately...

Off-road ability is great. I've had no problems with loose gravel, sand, and mud. I noticed in snow when turning into may begin to slide but straighten back up and it grabs immediately. For me I do anywhere between 500-2000 miles a month. From the starting 12.8 32nds depth having done about 7000+ miles im at about 10 32nds remaining. However, one of my tires are now starting to cause vibration. Looking back I think it was a bad tire because the amount of balance weight added to that tire was rather high compared to the other 3. Hoping I'm just a rare occurrence but will likely have to buy another pair to stop the vibration that one is causing.

I have been happy with the performance of these tires...

I bought a set of used Toyo tires, due to wanting the Jeep 392 wheels they were mounted on. They still had fair/good even tread. With winter coming on at the time, I wanted a new set of treads. Since I was impressed with the style, tread depth, weight of tire, and low noise, I decided to buy a new set of these Toyo Open Country AT III's. I've done mostly highway/city driving , one winter trip in the mountains, and some minor off road at farms/parks but nothing that any tire would have issues with. I have been happy with the performance of these tires, I would like to see how they handle more off road conditions and time will tell on that. I was in a heavy downpour recently on a trip and didn't notice any hydroplaning at speeds up to 50-60mph, there was quite a bit of water on the highway at that time, and for safety I did lower speeds in some of the tighter mountain curves, while everyone else was traveling slower. Great set of tires so far. I also like the 11.5 width keeping the tire within the fenders so I'm not flinging dirt and rocks on my doors and at others.

...On road I've got no complaints. I was even surprised that there was very little road noise...

Purchase these tires for my trail hawk and so far I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I've only had them for a few months so we will see how they rate once I get more time to play with them. Cosmetically, they're exactly what my Jeep needed. Functionality wise, so far so good. Had a chance to take them out in a muddy farm field and they worked like a charm. On road I've got no complaints. I was even surprised that there was very little road noise. Can't wait for the snow to start flying and see how they hold up to the weather in the NE.

I am pleasantly surprised that they are even quieter than my previous tires and the ride is so much smoother...

I replaced my 4 Michelin tires which had 40Kmiles even though the tread was still 5/32", within safe limits. But I wanted a better tire for the snowy weather here in Buffalo NY. These Toyo tires are much more aggressive in snow but I was worried that they would be noisy. I am pleasantly surprised that they are even quieter than my previous tires and the ride is so much smoother. Also I noticed easier cornering and steering in general. I love these new tires and looking forward to how they handle in the winter.

...That being said I have just a touch over 60,000 miles on these tires & they do still have decent tread & even wear...

My main issue with the tires is almost a year after having them installed, they started to dry rot. I went back to the shop I purchased them from & they reached out to Toyo & I was told that dry rot was to be expected and pretty much told me “it is what it is”. I’ve had several sets of Toyo’s mt’s and even a set of rt’s without any issues with dry rot. I just wasn’t expecting that with the at3’s. That being said I have just a touch over 60,000 miles on these tires & they do still have decent tread & even wear. I rotate them every oil change & they are starting to get a little noisy but I guess I can’t complain too much, I just really didn’t expect dry rot in a reputable brand of $1600 tires
