The Proxes ST III is Toyo's Street/Sport Truck All-Season tire developed for high-powered and performance-focused pickup trucks, crossovers and SUVs, in addition to any driver who wants to add some sporty character to their vehicle. Designed to combine stylish good looks with confident traction and handling year-round, the Proxes ST III is engineered for use in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even light snow.
The highly directional tread design of the Proxes ST III is molded from a high-silica, all-season compound. The arrowhead tapers in the center of the tread increase block stiffness for improved straight-line tracking, while the directional shoulder blocks provide stability and enhanced braking performance. The offset pattern minimizes pipe resonance for a quieter, more enjoyable drive. The high silica content in the tread rubber reduces rolling resistance and also improves wet traction, while lightning grooves in the pattern better evacuate water for hydroplaning resistance. Multi-wave sipes help minimize irregular wear to prevent increased noise over time while also improving traction in slippery conditions, including in light snow and on ice.
High-hardness bead filler and a jointless bead wire improve handling response, and the stiff casing further enhances handling while also reducing rolling resistance. Two wide, steel belts are reinforced and help deliver ride comfort plus high-speed stability.

...They are awesome tires for wet and dry traction and last a good while... Wet traction is good also...
I've been using this tire on my supercharged 525 HP Tahoe for the last 130,000 miles. Several sets of them. They are awesome tires for wet and dry traction and last a good while. The tread pattern looks cool/mean also. I am now using them on my GMC Yukon Denali which is supercharged and 835 HP. The dry traction is fantastic on these. In 2 wheel drove they hook almost immediately at a 10 mph roll. In all wheel drive they don't spin even from a dead stop full throttle launch. Wet traction is good also. I highly recommend these to anyone with an SUV or truck. On a side note, I have a 930 HP Shelby GT500. I use the TOYO r888r on it. It has triple the traction that the stock goodyear supercar tire had. And double the traction that I got with Michelin Sport cup 2's that I used before the toyos. I also have a 2019 Corvette ZR1 that came with Michelin pilot supersports. They had literally no traction at all under 75 MPH. I threw them in the garbage and replaced them with the toyo r888r. Now at a 10 or 15 mph roll I get traction at the end of 1st gear on through the gears. The Toyo r888r's transformed both of my cars from tires that were like ice skates/burnout machines, to tires that get amazing traction and plant you in the seat. You feel acceleration G's now. Like a different car now. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone with a car with substantial Horsepower. And because they are actually a road course tire, they have great handling too which separates them from a drag radial that hopes to get similar straight line traction but can't compete on turns and high speed stability.

...They have exceeded my expectations on wear and wet road traction...
I love the look of this tire and they have performed very well for my driving style (I tend to have a lead foot). They have exceeded my expectations on wear and wet road traction. The only downfall is that they are louder than I would prefer. I will definately purchase these again in the future.

The Toyo Proxes ST III earns strong winter traction ratings, with many customers scoring snow and deep snow performance 8s and 9s, highlighting confident grip in intended all-season use. While ice traction shows variability, most praise reliable snow handling, though some note lower ice scores.

...The Pirelli Scorpion winter tires only offered better grip in icy conditions, in snow the Toyos are very competent in everything from slush to heavy wet snow to powder...
This Toyo replaced both my summer and winter sets of Pirelli P-Zero tires in the same size. This is my second set, the first set went 45k with poor rotation practices. 50k is possible with good rotation and pressure management. Compared to the more expensive P-Zero summers in the dry this tire is about 95% as capable, and solidly 125% in the wet, the Pirellis did not like wet roads. The Pirelli Scorpion winter tires only offered better grip in icy conditions, in snow the Toyos are very competent in everything from slush to heavy wet snow to powder. I’m even looking at replacing this Cayenne S with another newer one and these tires will go on immediately for the year round simplicity and performance they offer.

...They are very confident in the rain and surprising in snow as well for a 295 on a 10" wide 20"wheel...
This is the 3rd set of Toyo ST tires I have owned. First set was the ST1's on a Lincoln Aviator. Last 2 sets are the ST3's on my Jeep SRT8. They are far better than the price suggests. They have lasted well over 30000 miles in each case. They are very confident in the rain and surprising in snow as well for a 295 on a 10" wide 20"wheel. Dry performance is crisp and predictable, especially on a 480 HP 5000 lb car! After 25000 miles (5-7/32" remaining) they get noisy at highway speeds below about 65 MPH. Cornering traction begins to wane as well at speed on twisty roads, but maybe it's just my driving. Still big improvement over the factory Pirelli all season run-flats which the innermost tread bar FELL OFF on the Highway at 22000 miles! I first saw them on a Porsche Cayenne Turbo whose owner praised them very highly. Would definitely buy again unless something better was available at less than twice the price!

...I live in Eastern Washington making a trip twice a month to Seattle all year round, from the Desert of Eastern WA and over Snoqualmie Pass to the Puget Sound. They are the Proxie lll now and have never let me down in all the miles and the different extremes I've put them through...
Just made my 3rd purchase of the Proxie's first set was the Proxie ll over 10 years ago which was on my 350hp Crew cab Tundra, 40 series 22 inch tires 10 inch wide. Fell in Love with Proxie's, turned my truck into a sport truck that stuck to the road and didn't lean into corners anymore. I could feel the road and have a much more enjoyable driving experience. The tires like then and now(on my 2019 AWD V6 Kia Sorento) are a dream on rain soaked roads, cruise right along through water without the worry of hydroplaning. I live in Eastern Washington making a trip twice a month to Seattle all year round, from the Desert of Eastern WA and over Snoqualmie Pass to the Puget Sound. They are the Proxie lll now and have never let me down in all the miles and the different extremes I've put them through, they also are a great looking tire. I don't have the 40 series tire size but even with the taller series they still took my driving experience to another level and the confidence that loosing control will not be because the tires let you down. Tires are the foundation of upgrading a vehicle no matter which way your wanting to go with it and the Toyo Proxie lll are incredible tires that I will continue to use for all my future vehicles in every condition I encounter.

...These Toyos on the Front of the truck just stick like NO OTHER truck tire that I have ever used before. I can safely dive into corners that simply embarrass many cars that should handle better...
I have been using Yokohama Parada Spec X tires on my 2004 Silverado SS since the Year 2010. I first used them in stock 275/55-R20, and then switched to 305/50/R20 on Enkei ST6 20x9.5" wheels (with offset to keep tires in the wheel wells contrary to the jacked up 4WD look) bought from Tire Rack in 2013. My Silverado SS is AWD. They proved to be a smooth riding tire with reasonable grip in wet and dry with an acceptable life. On June 3, 2022, my new tires with less than 1/32nd tire wear obtained an unrepairable sidewall puncture flat on the left rear tire on the inside where a lag bolt somehow flipped up. I called Tire Rack who told me that the 305 tires were backordered for about 5 weeks. I got the same story from Discount Tires Direct. I called every week and was told 5 weeks BO. I searched EBAY, local stores and other mail order stores, ...NOTHING. After 10 weeks, I called Yokohama, who told me that they were still going to make the tire in that size, but they did not know when. To make a long story short, after calling TR & DTD weekly for 3 months and Yoko 5 times, I gave up and ordered 2 Toyo STIII tires in the 305 size to leave the Yokos on the rear and kept the 1 loose Yoko just in case. I am really angry the Yoko simply does NOT want to support their repeat customers. I am DONE with them. It was probably the best thing they could have done, as I am EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH THE TOYOS. I am a C6 Corvette Z06 guy who has 3 sets of wheels/tires including Mich Super Sport RunFlats, R-Compound Nittos & Michelin Super Sport nonRFs, who has modified cars for hard cornering for 30 years. I love the capability and safety margins to stop & corner vehicles. These Toyos on the Front of the truck just stick like NO OTHER truck tire that I have ever used before. I can safely dive into corners that simply embarrass many cars that should handle better. I can't wait for the Yokos to wear out so I can permanently ditch the Yokos for the superior Toyos.

...Excellent summer traction, corner like on rails... Preciously set were the Pirelli Scorpion Zero, which were not bad, but they felt " rubbery" at the cornering limits. These tires do not exhibit this handling characteristic (granted, it's a powerful car)...
Was a little apprehensive at first due to the low price, but these are by far the best tires I've had on this car! Excellent summer traction, corner like on rails and decent wet/winter performance from what I've experienced taking them on a few ski trip to Colorado. They also are the quietest tires I've had on the car. Preciously set were the Pirelli Scorpion Zero, which were not bad, but they felt "rubbery" at the cornering limits. These tires do not exhibit this handling characteristic (granted, it's a powerful car). They still look new with 7k miles on them, so I'm projecting a pretty good tire life.

Most customers rate the Toyo Proxes ST III's ride comfort and noise levels highly, with scores of 9-10 dominating. High marks highlight smooth handling and refined noise reduction, aligning well with its all-season street/sport truck focus. A few lower noise scores (0-5) exist but don't overshadow the overwhelmingly positive feedback on comfort.

...Very smooth & comfortable ride all in all...
Finishing up my 2nd full life of these tires and they have been fantastic. First set I got about 60,000 miles out of them. Currently have almost 75,000 miles out of my second set. Had my ford dealership rotate them every 5,000 miles which was every 2-3 months for me. Very smooth & comfortable ride all in all.
I’d highly recommend these!

...They have great traction and decent tread wear... The Proxis wear considerably better than a similar tire from another manufacturer...
This is my second set of Toyo Proxis III’s for my X5. They have great traction and decent tread west. I do not recommend them in any kind of snow and I switch to dedicated winter tires when it gets cold. The Proxis wear xonsiderabky better than a similar tire from another manufacturer. That said, I go through rear tires at twice the rate of the fronts but that’s standard for the X5 sport package. Overall strongly recommend.
