The Quatrac Pro+ is Vredestein's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sedans, coupes, crossovers and SUVs looking for a tire that joins luxury, comfort and style with responsive handling in the dry and wet alongside high-level capability in icy, snowy conditions. The Quatrac Pro+ is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.

The Quatrac Pro+ takes a high-silica/resin compound and molds it into an asymmetric tread pattern designed to perform in year-round weather conditions. The broad outboard shoulder works in conjunction with a lower void ratio and large, stiff tread blocks to optimize dry handling and performance. The inboard rib and shoulder offer dependable wet and winter performance thanks to wide grooves and diverging lateral channels to move water and slush away from the contact patch. The tread compound maintains low temperature flexibility for control and grip in cold weather, with specially designed sipes in the center ribs for effective snow traction.

Internal construction of the Quatrac Pro+ consists of a single-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement aids in handling performance and provides high-speed durability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Extremely comfortable and quiet ride. Excellent handling and wet traction. They track extremely straight and are highly responsive to turns. Hands down the best tires I’ve owned so far. They also look really nice. I haven’t driven in snow or ice yet so I can’t comment. I highly recommend these tires based on my experience so far.

I bought these tires with high expectations for their rain performance and have not been disappointed! Their dry road capabilities are also remarkable most notably braking ability. I expect to get 40k+ miles from them which is good for Tesla drivers. A note here, I try to refrain from hard standing starts in performance mode. That’s a known tire killer!
Vredestein was not a brand known to me previously but now I’m a fan. At their price, what a value! Of course, you could pay twice as much for a more advertised on t.v. familiar brand name. Happily, I went with the better wet performing imported tires. Currently, I’m on my second set. Highly recommended for our mix of weather in the North East. Make sure to order the higher weight and speed rated versions since Teslas are heavy and (gulp) fast!

I got this tire so I wouldn't have to mount winter tires every fall. So far its been great. I've driven through some pretty good snowfalls here in Ohio and the tires have been fantastic. No slipping and the traction was great. In dry weather, the tire isn't as stable as the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's I had on there before but that's to be expected, I guess. Also at times the road noise seems noticeably louder. But overall, the tires have been great.

...They are fantastic in the light packed and virgin snow i have driven in...

This was a replacement for the oe installed tires on my 21 Accord lx. Hankook Kinergy gt, those were the absolute worst tires I have experienced. These Vrederstien tires are almost too good to be true. They have changed the entire driving dynamics of the car. Instantly ride quality, tread noise changed for the better. Almost like my Honda became a Lexus. They are fantastic in the light packed and virgin snow i have driven in. Fantastic in the wet as well. I will be buying again once they wear out.

-4F in Nashua NH after a snow and ice storm - Perfect conditions to try the Vredestein Wintrac Pro+_ tires under many winter conditions. Steep driveway with "only" front-wheel drive (CHECK), severely-icy road near a small airport (CHECK) with good control and grip, transition from dry pavement to icy bridge - no dramatic sliding (CHECK) and a wonderful drive back to NYC on the highway with glass-smooth quiet and precise tracking and steering. I only wish that these were ZPT run flats....
The single negative was the rubber "flash" and initial noise that these tires made before they were run-in. I tried to use 5mm spacers which made the wheels look cooler but had little influence on the tire noise. The initial noise went away quickly and maybe I am spoiled by ultra-high performance summer tires trueness.

...Dry traction is noticeably less with Vredestein than the Toyo's...

These tires are mounted on a 1997 TVR Griffith 500 which is not in your database. The car is very powerful and torquey. Dodge Viper was the closest comparative car.

These tires replaced Toyo Proxis T1R. Dry traction is noticeably less with Vredestein than the Toyo's. Availability was the key driver in this purchase since the sizes I was looking for are not widely available. Road noise and comfort are very good. I am overall very happy with the purchase. Good balance of price and performance.

...Dry traction is definitely reduced from the Michelins. Being used to the Michelins in the twisties, it did not take much to find the limits of the Vredesteins...

The car is a daily driver, and is driven a minimum of 85 miles round trip for work.
Our goal with a BEV was to save money. The 1800 to 2000 miles driven per month costs about $70 in electricity, versus the $160/wk we were paying for gasoline.

The car has factory staggered wheels - 245/35-21 front, 265/35-21 rear.
At 19K miles, we had to replace the rear tires for the second time.
So, I started a tire hunt to address 2 tire issues with a 2020 MSP: Wear and noise.
I talked to an old school alignment guy, and he said Tesla''s alignment specs are overly aggressive. Well... that''s a nice paraphrasing of what he actually said.
Going with less aggressive toe, and toeing in - instead of out, seems to have addressed the abysmal rear tire the wear. It also improved camber.
And, the car is no longer exhausting to drive long distances.
However, the OE Michelin Pilot Sports were still very noisy going down the road. And, they very effectively transmitted harsh sounds from road imperfections (bumps, expansion joints, rough patches) into the cabin.
The (also OE) Continentals have a reputation for being a little quieter... but not much.
Then, I heard about the Vredesteins.
When the front Michelins finally gave up at 28K miles, we got a set of 4 Vredesteins, as required for their 50K manufacturer warranty.
Vredestein does not make a 265/35-21 for the rear, but the 275/35-21 has plenty of clearance.

Even though the Vredesteins do not have the acoustic foam, they are *much* quieter than the Michelins.
That includes regular road noise as well as bumps, imperfections and the like.

The Vredestein compound is noticeably harder.
Dry traction is definitely reduced from the Michelins.
Being used to the Michelins in the twisties, it did not take much to find the limits of the Vredesteins.
That said, longevity should be greatly improved - especially with a sensible alignment spec.

Wet traction is MUCH improved!

TL/DR:
Much quieter.
Wet grip is much better.
Dry grip is not as good.

...Compared to the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport AS/4's these tires are dramatically quieter and do an amazing job softening up the notoriously rough ride of the Model Y Performance. Very transformative...

Great tires so far. Have done fantastic in one of the most harsh West Michigan winters in years. Compared to the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport AS/4’s these tires are dramatically quieter and do an amazing job softening up the notoriously rough ride of the Model Y Performance. Very transformative.

The winter handling is also awesome in comparison. The previous Michelins were “acceptable” in terms of winter performance but did their fair share of slipping and sliding on a daily basis. The Vredesteins grip hard and hold it tight, inspiring a high degree of confidence. On one particular very snowy/icy day with temps hovering near zero and lots of other cars in ditches all over these tires held extremely well and inspired confidence beyond my expectations.

I was also able to test these out during some warmups in heavy rain and in dry conditions and performance was also excellent - especially so in the rain. These is some compromise in terms of steering feel and response with these compared to the Michelins but in my opinion a no brainer now that I’ve experienced a way more comfortable and quiet ride with the Vredesteins.

Overall very pleased with this purchase so far.

...The first set delivered 45k miles - outstanding for a heavy, powerful car and my spirited driving...

So pleased with these tires. First experience was on a 2007 Audi A8L which I drove to 140k miles. Now have a 2015 Audi A8 4.0T std. wheelbase and this is the second set of Vredesteins on this car. The first set delivered 45k miles - outstanding for a heavy, powerful car and my spirited driving. I can’t say enough about the winning combo of quiet highway driving and long-life tread wear. I have several thousand-mile days on these and they are terrific. The bonus is very good traction in snow. While living in the Chicago area I always had a second set of alloy wheels and winter tires. With these Vredestaeins, I would no longer make that investment.
