The ADVAN Fleva V701 is Yokohama's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for enthusiast drivers looking to add some fun to the drive in their sports cars, performance sedans and sporty coupes. The ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to excel in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

An advanced, nanoBLEND compound combines wear-resistant and high-fuel efficiency polymers with silica to combine dry and wet traction with long life and efficiency. The Two In One contrasting pitch of the tread pattern works to reduce noise for a quiet ride in addition to increasing pattern stability for improved performance. A solid center rib and near-solid shoulders help provide quick, precise handling and high-speed stability and on-center feel. Drop Point Grooves in the intermediate ribs evacuate water to the Jagged Circumferential Grooves, helping to resist hydroplaning and improve stopping distance in wet conditions.

The mold contour and construction of the ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to evenly distribute pressure across the contact patch to optimize handling and braking traction, in addition to improving steering stability at high speeds.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage. Tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

...I've read reviews that they aren't the greatest wet tire, and I don't have a ton to compare them to on this car, but even if they don't have the best wet grip ever, they are super predictable and controllable in the rain. I really loved these tires. Super impressive amount of grip from a well-priced tire. Perfect for my miata, grippy enough to set competitive times at Autocross, and comfortable enough for street use. I've read reviews that they aren't the greatest wet tire, and I don't have a ton to compare them to on this car, but even if they don't have the best wet grip ever, they are super predictable and controllable in the rain. This winter I did a bunch of wet, cold, autocross days, and was able to hand my keys to first-timers with no problem. Towards the end of their tread life they got a little noisy and struggled a little in the wet, but I would still highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun tire!

The wet traction is excellent, as I discovered when a major thunderstorm dumped a lot of water on the highway.

The Miata came with 17-inch wheels, so until I replace them with 15-inch wheels, I got these Yokohama tires to use for street and some track driving. At 300 TW, they are not as sticky as a 200 TW obviously, but I am quite happy with the tire's overall performance. On track, the tires are better than I expected and very predictable. When traction breaks, the tires simply slide, with no tendency to 'snap' unexpectedly.

The wet traction is excellent, as I discovered when a major thunderstorm dumped a lot of water on the highway. On public roads, tire noise is insignificant even with the top down, and no complaints with the ride. The wear rate suggests that I won't get more than 2 seasons out of them, but as the car is tracked, that has to be factored into the tread life.

These tires are an incredible upgrade from the summer tires (A/S technically but performed terrible on any wet surface) I had previously. Being able to maintain traction from a stop on a wet surface, as well as good cornering and hydroplaning stability is a must-have for driving in WA regardless of the time of year. These tires perform exactly as needed for the conditions. Dry surface performance is equally thrilling.

I've had all summer to experience these tires and love driving them at 9/10ths. Road noise is acceptable even after a many miles and tread wear has been good considering driving style and alignment. Very good turn-in and steering feel, predictable near the limits. These tires offer excellent dry traction and are more playful than a 200 tw tire might be. Since I don't have ABS I prefer not to drive too much in the rain but I have confidence if I need to drive in wet weather. Took the Miata to Deals Gap this summer and had a few others comment on how well they like these tires considering the low price. Can't comment on track or autocross use but I definitely recommend for stock hp car driven on the back roads of southern Ohio.

...Once you start working them the steering response comes alive and they really do feel great... I can confidently say they have significant amount more grip once they're warm, and you can abuse them a lot more since they don't overheat as easily...

For the price, they are everything they need to be. Bought a pair to use in the summer instead of my continental dws06 plus. At first I was slightly dissapointed in the tires, when cold they have good grip, but feel pretty numb and uninspired in my opinion. However once I got out on my favorite backroad and got them warm, they came alive. Once you start working them the steering response comes alive and they really do feel great. I sadly can only compare to the dws06's but I can confidently say they have a significant amount more grip once they're warm, and you can abuse them a lot more since they don't overheat as easily. My only gripes are the rotational mounting requirements, meaning you can't properly rotate them side to side. And because of this I had to retire my set 1k miles early since I tend to do more right turns than left on my commute. Still though for the money and the enjoyment I got from them you can't go wrong.

I'm pleasantly pleased with these tires. They were a replacement for my Adven 8 ive been using for the last 10 years. Though slightly less responsive they provide good grip and turn in response with a higher mileage rating and relatively quiet ride. So far so good and delighted to have had an option to stay with same wheel size as the 17's are seemingly becoming more a rare size... at least for my fronts. Im overall happy with these.

...They grip fantastically well for a 300 treadwear tire, are surprisingly comfortable and quiet at highway speeds, and do amazingly well on a lightweight like the Miata in the rain, so long as you're not a total lead foot or hunting ditches...

These tires are the "daily drivers" for my Miata, mounted on a set of heavy zero offset wheels - I bought these primarily as a streetable, good looking, reasonably high-performing tire knowing this setup is by no means "optimal" for performance driving (I have a set of Falken RT660s on lightweight wheels for that.) With that said, these tires are absolutely stellar for how I use them. They grip fantastically well for a 300 treadwear tire, are surprisingly comfortable and quiet at highway speeds, and do amazingly well on a lightweight like the Miata in the rain, so long as you're not a total lead foot or hunting ditches. Granted, they're not hyper-nimble, but they're also not twitchy like some other tires I've used on this car in the past, and are very well-matched to stock-ish Miata power levels - they'll let you spin them or get a little sideways if you want, but step right back in line when it's time to be serious. Longevity and strength-wise, they survived a fairly brutal 2000-mile round trip across some of the worst roads for lowered cars in the country (read:the deep south) with absolutely zero complaint, despite frequent rubbing and scrubbing over practically every pothole and gap along the way, and are still wearing evenly (albeit with some camber wear considering my setup) and appear to have considerable life left. I recommend these whenever and wherever I can to people hunting a fun, yet functional tire choice.

...They are very comfortable and quiet...

Not sure if my thoughts count, as I typically take a nice "Sunday cruise" in my '90 Miata. It is driven mostly year-round but only occasionally and ONLY on beautiful days; never rain or snow! I'm a casual driver (middle aged) with some spirited corners and/or acceleration, and mostly on curvy, country roads. These Yoko Flevas replaced my older Yoko Paradas. I really like these. They are very comfortable and quiet, yet grippy, and I believe should last a long time like the Paradas.

When I drove away from the shop, the difference between the Yokohama's and my old Bridgestone RE11's was like night and day. I am referring specifically to the ride on the
potholed and rough roads in Michigan which are in terrible condition. I figured I probably had given up a significant amount of handling and braking for ride quality. Once I set up my suspension (a bit later) and took it out for a test drive I found that there was no discernable loss-in fact it handled better than it ever did with excellent steering feedback. Partly, this could be due to my new suspension settings but I would like to think the Yokohama's extra sidewall compliance (very stiff/minimal with the RE11's) did not compromise handling. Unfortunately, I did not get to put many miles on them (before storing the car for the winter) and never drove in the rain. Otherwise, they work well on a NB Miata and I love them! Will be taking the car to the track later this Summer to give them a real test.

Great tire! The threadwear rating is a little higher than what I usually look (I prioritize grip over longevity) for but they handle very well. I pushed them pretty hard on the Tail of the Dragon and other fun mountain roads and was impressed. As good as the P6000 and PZeros I have on my other cars. Excellent price too.

Overall, just a great tire choice for I think most drivers. Compared to the previous tires I used (Toyo Proxes R1R), these tires still give me about 90% of the performance in the dry, but with significantly more treadwear. To me, that is worthy of the trade off. Less outright stick and response, but significant gains in comfort and durability. In the wet, it's no contest the Yokohama's are significantly better than the Toyo's. Unless you are looking for the absolute limits, the Yokohama's are a an extremely worthy choice to consider.
