The ADVAN Fleva V701 is Yokohama's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for enthusiast drivers looking to add some fun to the drive in their sports cars, performance sedans and sporty coupes. The ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to excel in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

An advanced, nanoBLEND compound combines wear-resistant and high-fuel efficiency polymers with silica to combine dry and wet traction with long life and efficiency. The Two In One contrasting pitch of the tread pattern works to reduce noise for a quiet ride in addition to increasing pattern stability for improved performance. A solid center rib and near-solid shoulders help provide quick, precise handling and high-speed stability and on-center feel. Drop Point Grooves in the intermediate ribs evacuate water to the Jagged Circumferential Grooves, helping to resist hydroplaning and improve stopping distance in wet conditions.

The mold contour and construction of the ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to evenly distribute pressure across the contact patch to optimize handling and braking traction, in addition to improving steering stability at high speeds.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage. Tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

Customers Say

Feedback patterns show the Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 excels in dry traction, with scores often 9-10 for sharp handling and confident cornering. Wet traction earns consistent praise (7-9 range), though a few note reduced hydroplaning resistance in heavy rain. Comfort stands out, with many highlighting a smooth, quiet ride (7-10 scores). Treadwear receives mixed feedback-some report strong longevity (8-10), but others mention rapid wear or lower-than-expected tread life (scores as low as 0-6). As an ultra-high-performance summer tire, it delivers on dry/wet grip and comfort, though tread durability varies depending on driving style and conditions.

...I was able to drive them on the freeway through several downpours (atmospheric rivers) dumping lots of water onto the road. The ADVAN SPORT A/S+ were confidence inspiring and I felt I was able to drive very similarly to what I would in dry conditions...

I've only driven on various models of Yokohama tires since my very first car -- starting with the A509s. Most have been summer tires with a good wet rating. Of course, they wear out quickly and I'm finally at a point where I'll sacrifice some performance for better tread wear. After just over 1,000 miles, I think these are a great compromise.

Specifically, I'm very happy with the wet traction. I was able to drive them on the freeway through several downpours (atmospheric rivers) dumping lots of water onto the road. The ADVAN SPORT A/S+ were confidence inspiring and I felt I was able to drive very similarly to what I would in dry conditions.

In general steering tracks well and they are grippy enough for moderate to mildly aggressive cornering (although I don't push cornering as hard as I used to). I'll be interested in how they perform during the summer in comparison to my old summer tires, but all in all, I'm very satisfied.

...They have been tested in light snow, in rain and dry... Braking and acceleration is amazing. Going through corners is fast and quick responding...

Excellent All Season tires. They have been tested in light snow, rain and dry. The S2000 is a sharp handling machine from Japan. Adding these Japanese Advan Yokohamas turns it into a handling beast. Braking and acceleration is amazing. Going through corners is fast and quick responding. Even uphill has excellent grip. A must have tire. A+ rating.

...Very poised on the road with excellent wet (Oregon rain) and good snow traction (Boston Winter) compared to the other all season tires I had on this vehicle...

Loved these tires, I miss them and this car. Far better then the stock Michelins AS that came on it and Continental AS I had on my Acura Sport Wagon. Very poised on the road with excellent wet (Oregon rain) and good snow traction (Boston Winter) compared to the other all season tires I had on this vehicle. I moved from the East coast to the West coast on these tires and had a good diverse experience with them. The tread and performance was still great even on their last mile. If you have a mid or compact sedan or wagon your making the right choice!

...It is a softer, quieter ride with exceptional dry grip so far...

I recently replaced my Pirelli Cinturato's with this tire. The Pirelli's were good tires but delivered a firmer ride than I wanted along with moderate road noise with a distinct "thump" when I hit a pothole. I was looking for a good all season tire for typical northern California driving that gave me a softer ride and less road noise without sacrificing performance. This tire provides all that. My car has the AMG package with pretty firm shocks and this scaled that feel back about 10-20 percent. It is a softer, quieter ride with exceptional dry grip so far. If you want a hard ride this isn't the tire for you but if you want comfort and serenity combined with good performance this is the way to go.

...I was expecting a significant decrease in performance versus the Michelins given that these are all-season tires and the Michelins are Summer Performance tires, but I was very happily surprised that these grip quite well in the dry compared to the Michelins. I regularly push my car to the tires' traction limits and these start to give just a little before the Michelins do...

Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+: My car came (new) with Michelin Summer Performance tires (Pilot Sport 4). I got these for Winter, Spring, (not Summer), and Fall driving on a set of wheels (Enkei EKM3) so that I could swap them out with the stock wheels/tires when the weather gets bad. Basically I'll keep the Michelins on May - Sept and have these on the rest of the year.

I was expecting a significant decrease in performance versus the Michelins given that these are all-season tires and the Michelins are Summer Performance tires, but I was very happily surprised that these grip quite well in the dry compared to the Michelins. I regularly push my car to the tires' traction limits and these start to give just a little before the Michelins do. The ride is quieter than the Michelins and they have a very similar feel at the edge of their traction limits. Both tires are very predictable and give good feel of the road through the pedals/suspension. Given that these are about $400 cheaper per set and have nearly twice the warranty length is quite impressive.

I have not had a chance to drive in the wet or snow, and I haven't had these tires very long so I can't comment on traction in inclement weather or actual tread life, but I think it's quite impressive that the performance in the dry is so stellar. Just based on this, if I had to choose one tire for year-round driving, I would have no regrets choosing these. Great job Yokohama.

...I noticed almost immediately they were quieter and smoother riding than the Conti's ever were. At around 20k on them, they are still quiet and smooth with plenty of tread left...

These tires replaced Continental DWS-06's. As the Conti's had close 40k on them and I had a (unrepairable)nail in sidewall of one of them, I decided to replace all 4 tires. They had been getting noisy and ride was deteriorating.
I was very pleased with the new Yokohama's! I noticed almost immediately they were quieter and smoother riding the the Conti's ever were. At around 20k on them, they are still quiet and smooth with plenty of tread left. Not sure how they would work for occational autocrossing as I don't do that anymore, but for daily getting around they are great. I highly recommend this tire for sport sedans.

...The only positive for me is the tread wear. I had to do brake work on the rear one day, took the wheels off and I was shocked at how little wear there was on the tires, even after 15000 miles.

I bought these tires only bc I needed to match the front set on my vehicle. I would’ve bought DWS’s but the front set was practically new, so it wasn’t feasible. Anywho, I’ve had these on the car now for 15000 miles and they are just “okay”. The performance overall is average for an all season tire, there is much left to be desired. In the dry I can break traction pretty easily, in the wet even easier. Being in NYC w/ the snow and ice during the winter I have almost no confidence that I’d be ok driving on these sadly. The only positive for me is the tread wear. I had to do brake work on the rear one day, took the wheels off and I was shocked at how little wear there was on the tires, even after 15000 miles.

My next purchase is going to be either the general AS05 or the Continental DWS 06+

Driving around Missouri can be an adventure, from changing weather to potholes the size of basketballs. These tires have handled everything beautifully so far. Treadwear is excellent (with tire rotations of course). These hook up wonderfully in the rain and the ride is very smooth. Highly recommend!

I have had these on my car for 55K miles and they still have plenty of tread. Longest lasting tire I have ever owned. Great dry and wet and are quiet. At 50K they got more noise but that is expected. Will buy them again.
