The PARADA Spec-X is Yokohama Tire's Street/Sport Truck All-Season radial developed for performance pickups and SUVs, as well as modern muscle cars like the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum. The PARADA Spec-X is designed to combine impressive looks and confident handling with year-round traction in North America's wide range of weather conditions, including in light snow.
The PARADA Spec-X radial's all-season tread compound is molded into an aggressive directional tread design that features linked shoulder blocks, variably sized intermediate tread blocks and two continuous center ribs to combine acceleration, braking and cornering competence with a comfortable ride. A wide circumferential center groove and sweeping lateral grooves provide water evacuation to resist hydroplaning and increase wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to provide strength, uniformity and durability on top of a polyester cord body that enhances ride quality.

...The wet traction on these tires is the best I have ever felt. They hook up immediately with no wheel spin...
I upgraded to 20 inch wheels and tires from the stock 16 inch and expected a drop in ride comfort, but I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and quiet these tires are. A friend reccomended these tires and they have been the best upgrade I made to my truck. I installed the Eibach Pro-Truck Kit that lowered the stance about 2 inches and with these tires my truck handles and rides incredible. The wet tracion on these tires is the best I have ever felt. They hook up immediately with no wheel spin. Dry is outstanding and with the upgraded wheel/tire package and suspension I tend to drive my truck a little harder than I used to and these tires have held up to everything. I even went though a snow storm in Utah and with a two wheel drive 1/2 ton pick up I was a little nervous but these tires performed amazing in the snow. I weighted down the truck bed and the tires provided excellent traction. I'm not one to normally post reviews but I am so impressed with these tires I felt I should share my experience with everyone else. I do a lot of driving and and the tread shows at least 60% left. I expect I will get at least 60k from these and I will definitely be buying these again. For the price, quality and performance there simply is not a better all-season street truck tire out there. I did a lot of research before buying these tires so save yourself the time and hassle and pick up a set of these tires. That's all I have to say. Thanks TR!

Great tire!! I purchased this set based on the reviews posted here on The Tire Rack. I was worried that a 20" tire would not be as comfortable as the OEM 18" tires, however, I do not feel a difference in ride quality. Excellent dry, and wet traction. It has not snowed in MD, but when it does, I will leave updated feedback regarding snow traction. I highly recommend this tire.

Most customers rate snow traction highly with scores of 9-10, delivering confident grip in winter conditions. Ice and deep snow traction earn solid 7-8s, showing reliable all-season performance. A few lower scores note occasional challenges on ice, but overall winter capability remains strong.

Compared to the OE Michelins on this car, these tires were *SO* quiet! Driving in Florida, we get many rainy days and the hydroplaning resistance was great until about 3/32" remained of the tread. Compared to the OE Michelins, the handling became crisp and very predictable on both dry and wet roads.
Operated this auto through three blizzards in Denver at near single digits (F.) temperature. While the Jeeps and other 4-wheel drive vehicles were crabbing sideways in semi-heavy snow and slush, my SUV (front-wheel drive) left them in the dust. Snowy, slushy, icy stopping was also very stable compared to the Jeeps and other 4-wheel/All-wheel drive vehicles. I am getting ready to order a second set.
Only negatives: 1) After 30,000 miles, hydroplaning has become dangerous with 2/32" left before I can see wear bars; 2) When really punching from a stoplight it is too easy to spin the front (drive) tires; 3)Tread life is short for the expense, but the safety factor (at least for me) is worth it.
Suddenly, after mounting these Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires, my luxury SUV FELT LIKE A LUXURY SUV! Glad I stumbled across these tires, as they are listed ONLY in the "Street/Sport Truck" TireRack designation.

...When other 4X4s were chaining up, to go over the mountain passes, these tires negotiated steep, snow covered and icy roads with relative ease... They are truly an all season tire and perform well in dry snow, wet snow, on wet roads as well as dry roadways...
I live in the mountains and needed a highway tire that would perform well under a variety of conditions. I have dedicated snow tires, for Winter driving, but we often get snow well before I put the snow tires on. I recently drove through the desert Southwest, up the California coast and back home, over the high desert, to the Rocky Mountains. I encountered heavy rains, sleet, ice and 5 feet of snow over Donner Pass. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of these tires. Hydroplaning resistance was excellent. When other 4X4s were chaining up, to go over the mountain passes, these tires negotiated steep, snow covered and icy roads with relative ease. They performed well on dry desert highways and got me, and my family, home safely under the most adverse of conditions. These are, by far, the best tires I've had on my Volvo XC90; one of the smartest purchases I've ever made. They are truly an "all season" tire and perform well in dry snow, wet snow, on wet roads as well as dry roadways. They do pick up small pebbles & rocks, but I live on a gravel road and the stones don't effect performance.

Well, so far so good. I just purchased a 2012 300 SRT8 and the car came with crappy goodyear F1 super car tires which I will never put back on the car , the Yoko's are wonderful in wet driving at high speed , they are great on the dry top as well , no noise . I purchased them because of the high rating for snow driving so I will post again after March .Great buy

...They provide strong grip on dry roads and are very strong in cornering...
These Yokohama's are replacing a set of Pirelli Scorpion STR 20" tires. The Pirelli's are terrific tires for an FX 35 and have lasted a long time - about 45k miles. With the price climbing on them, I thought it would be a good time to try something different. The Yokohama's have great ratings from others and are the #1 rated tire in the 265/50/20 size, so I took the plunge. They provide strong grip on dry roads and are very strong in cornering. Haven't had an opportunity to try them on wet or snow covered roads yet, so I will try and provide an update at a later time. The only issue that I have so far is the road noise. They are almost as loud as the nearly bald Pirelli's that they replaced. Hopefully, they will quiet down once they have been set to the car after a few weeks. Others with Infinity FX 35's report positive experiences, so I'm keeping my hopes up.

...The last 2 sets of Yoko PSX tires have done very well. The 3rd set were factory 275mm size lasting 49k miles served VERY well on this 380hp 5100lb AWD sport truck to provide great all around dry and wet weather traction. Cornering grip is a tad less than the discontinued Bridgestones, but they lasted almost 10k longer (total 49k wear)...
These are my 2nd set of Yoko Parada Spec X tires on my 2004 Silverado SS (All Wheel Drive, extended cab), and my 4th set of tires on this SSS now at 153k miles. The factory tires were Goodyear LS tires, which were ok, but nothing special for this type of vehicle and lasted 50k miles. The 2nd set was Bridgestone Dueler H-rated street sport tires, which handled very well, but were discontinued (lasted 40k miles). The last 2 sets of Yoko PSX tires have done very well. The 3rd set were factory 275mm size lasting 49k miles served VERY well on this 380hp 5100lb AWD sport truck to provide great all around dry and wet weather traction. Cornering grip is a tad less than the discontinued Bridgestones, but they lasted almost 10k longer (total 49k wear). This is good wear since they outperformed the Goodyear LS tires in every possible way. This truck remains stable at full highway speeds in the heaviest downpours, but can still hang a corner at probably near 0.8gs surprisingly well. I have a 2008 Corvette Z06, which is the corner killer, but I can drive this SSS pretty hard as well. Ride is almost always smooth, with occasional temporary minor flat-spot if parked a long time. Note that these are very big tires and in Florida roundness is quickly restored on the 1st few miles. Grip is good in dirt, grass and reasonable sand as well. I have found this to be the best tire for a sport truck that I have found, without going to bone-jarring rubber band rim/tire combos. My last set was ordered in 305/50 size (20mm wider than stock on Enkei wheels 9.5"x 20" vs stock 8.5"x20"), which look great, have proper offset to fit better than stock inside the wheel well with no rubbing, and are actually the same weight as smaller stock total wheel/tire weight. I highly recommend the Yokos.

These tires replaced the OE Pirelli Scorpion P-Zero's. I was never happy with the OE tires performance in the wet and snow. The choices for this vehicle size are limited. After much research I chose the Yok Parada X-Spec. This tire has been completely superior to the OE tire. The dry traction is about the same and wet is improved. The snow performance is outstanding for the type of tire. I actually have confidence to drive this in the winter. The tires have about 15,000 miles and wear isn't really even noticeable. At this rate I expect to get 50,000 to 70,000 with out issue. The best improvement made to this vehicle. I love them.

...Ride is comfortable and quiet compared to stock Michelin tires and especially compared to Kumhos that were on before these...
Very pleased with these tires. I have 31,000+ miles on the set and still have the majority of tread left. Ride is comfortable and quiet compared to stock Michelin tires and especially compared to Kumhos that were on before these. Grip is very good in dry and wet and good in snow. They are directional so I can only rotate front to back.

...They handle great, and my most important feature ride comfort and noise is great on these tires...
This is my second set. They handle great, and my most important feature ride comfort and moise is great on these tires. My only negative is the treadwear is not very good. Bought these last tires exactly 2 years ago and will probably need to replace these in the next couple of months before the tread is gone.
