I have purchased, installed and used 5 wall mount systems over the years racing with BMW Car Club and Porsche Club Racing. I have now, in my old(er) age, steered towards off road vehicles, starting with a 2025 Ford Bronco Outer Banks. First thing we did was 35" tires on 17" wheels and a 2" lift. Needed a solution for storage of the factory wheels and tires. Lifting bigger and heavier wheels/tires did not appeal to me. So, I decided to spend a little more for the mobile storage rack. Couldn't be happier! Super easy to assembly. Rock solid, sturdy and well thought out, especially with the storage bins and shelves on each end. Replaced 5 wheels/tires (including the spare) and was expecting to use the top shelf for the spare. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all 5 fit neatly on one level. No overhead lifting and I can move the rack around as I please!
I am really impressed with the quality of this rolling storage rack. All-around it is designed very solid. The tubing is heavy duty with good welds and the casters have large diameter threads. This is definitely a great buy over the cheaper options you will find elsewhere online.
This is a very nice tire rack. The accessory storage baskets and shelves are great for lug nuts, impact ratchet and other tools. The caster roll super easy on my concrete garage floor. A little pricey, but with the price of steel these days, it’s almost cheaper than welding my own. I only wish I had bought this years ago.
I was a little skeptical making this purchase due to its price and the unseen unknowns. I am quite impressed with the quality of this unit, its undamaged shipping condition, ease of assembly, good looks, and ultimate functionality. I love it and am planning on getting the larger, tire only version in the near future.
Great storage rack - appears to be extremely sturdy, wheels seem like they are heavy duty (two are locking) and the built-in storage shelves (you can choose to use those shelves or not as they hook on) are a great addition. Highly recommend. Although I initially thought the price was high, I am at satisfied when it’s all said and done due to the quality/ strength of the material/storage rack.
This tire rack was relatively easy to assemble and is solid. I think it will be very durable. I somehow thought I would gain more floor space in my garage but that is a failure of imagination on my part. Even so, it has gained some space and things are more organized, I'm now able to easily move the tires as needed. It comfortably holds two sets of tires, with the largest being 275/45/21", and it could take tires several sizes larger. I do recommend this product.
This is the only product I could find of this quality. It is sturdy, made with quality components, and with some thoughtful design features. The end shelves are great for jacks, spare lug nuts, and my tire cleaning sprays.The casters are the stongest I've seen in a while, the parts are sized for straightforward assembly without any modification needed for fitting. I even had my 8 yr. old granddaughter assist with the job of pitting it togather; she aligned the parts and finger tightened the bolts. I only had to tighten them and flip up the rack when done. It is now holding 8 summer tires, with room for 4 more narrow (165) tires.The rack is holding all this without any flexing or wiggle.
This is a quality product, not a low-priced barely adequate item.
I was concerned with the quality and strength of this rack to support eight wheels. When it arrived you knew they didn't skimp. The box weighed 99 lbs. The packing was superb, not even a rattle. All welds were spot on, no scratches and everything lined up perfectly. It is made of 1.5" steel tubing. This thing is built. Took me about an hour to set up. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Now I won't have to lug wheels up and down the stairs, from and to the basement, twice a year
Love this rack, I am going to purchase another 3 , one more for tires and wheels, 2 more for Oil change cart, and drain system that is mobile, and one for tire service equipment including 2 large jacks, stands, and spreader bars, as well as a place to mount and store the torquewrenches, impact guns, torque sticks, and TPMS supplies. that way they can be rolled quickly in and out of the shop for outside work. Next we need Tire Rack to provide heavy weatherproof covers for outside storage!
Very sturdy, well built rack. Feels like it will last a lifetime. The reason for a rating of 8 vs 10 is that the black finish on the tubes is very thin. While tightening the bolts, the finish chipped off around the bolts. No big deal but I wish the finish were a little tougher or the area where the bolts engage the tubes was designed differently. In terms of assembly, it was easy to put together and the 5" casters are great. However, I received a shelf that had the brackets welded on the wrong way so it wouldn't fit properly. After a lot of back and forth with Tire Rack and the manufacturer, the issue was finally resolved and 2 weeks later, I finally had the replacement tray shipped to me. Fits perfectly now.
Very sturdy and well built, this rack easily stores two sets of regular car wheels with room to spare. The extension trays and baskets are good for storing wheel nuts and special tools. I would prefer if it was actually a little less wide as there's a lot of wasted space. Also, I'd like to see some kind of safety net under the top rack in case you fumble lifting a heavy wheel onto it!
This is a well built, strong tire rack. Assembly was fast although I replaced the lock nuts supplied with nyloks. I was able to fit the winter tires for my VW Golf and Chevrolet 4x4 Colorado on the rack with room left for maybe 4 more tires, its that big. However if you are considering this keep in mind its large, like the size of a Honda Goldwing large. I went this route as I couldnt see hanging the very large truck tires on a wall hanging device and luckily have the room for this roll around rack. Very nice addition to the garage. Thanks Tire Rack.
The basic frame and casters seem to be high quality materials and finish, but the price is high for that part of the package. I could have fabricated something similar for much less. The add-on shelves and baskets (also high quality materials and finish) are probably where most of the cost comes from, but I have little or no use for these
