Any incorrect installation of brake components can cause a major safety problem or an accident. If you are not a competent and qualified mechanic you should not attempt to install these products, but should take the vehicle to a vehicle dealer or competent automotive mechanic for their installation.

Disc brake pads and rotors are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Read More.

Hawk's HP Plus Sport Pads (Enhanced Compound) are designed for use on the road, as well as provide a high level of performance at an Autocross or Track Day event. Hawk has now combined the best of both HP Plus and Street/Race compounds by maximizing the stopping power and fade resistance of their HP Plus (Original Compound), while maintaining the street and track versatility of Street/Race. Due to the aggressive nature of this pad compound though, increased noise and dust should be expected over other street compounds.

The HP Plus (Enhanced Compound) displays lower pad wear and noticeably improved rotor wear over the previous HP Plus (Original Compound) while exhibiting less temperature sensitivity, for improved modulation and driver confidence.

All HP Plus product manufactured after July 16, 2018 is manufactured with the new, enhanced compound.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • New, enhanced compound improves wear for longer pad life
  • Extremely high friction level for responsiveness and resistance to brake fade
  • Suitable for autocross and track day events
  • Elevated temperature resistance

Note:

Brake pads are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.

Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads must be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used with. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

These are hands down the BEST pads I ve bought for my Autocross and country road drives! The track I am on hits about 65mph max but I am on the brakes a lot, never once did they fade or fail to get the needed grip. They can be a bit noisy and they do get my wheels dirty BUT I ve never had a set of pads that stopped so well! It may be partially due to the Talon rotors and the stainless lines but these are fantastic in my experience and with my needs.

The brakes stop well enough however, the amount of high pitched squeaking while doing so is honestly, unbearable; like nails on a chalk board.
